(A deserted alley is shown. A police siren is heard in the background, along with sounds of gunfire. Close up of a pair of feet walking down the street, then another pair walking the opposite way. Then, a similar shot of the fists of both the men. The gunfire is getting louder, as are the sirens. A shot of each man walking from behind is then shown. The noise is absolutely deafening. Each man turns into the alley, where the noise abruptly stops. We start with a slow shot of one pair of feet, then pan up to reveal Mike Haggar. A similar shot at the other end of the alley...with Zangief as the other man. A staredown ensues, then Haggar and Zangief begin to walk towards each other. The camera begins to shift between the two, getting quicker and quicker each switch, until eventually, all you see is the face of Haggar rapidly switching with the face of Zangief. An explosion then reveals the logo for...)

as fireworks light up the arena. This is possibly the biggest card
the SMWA has ever put on. Tonight, Grater gets a chance to rip Clepto

Powers will fight on different sides -- who will Biff Slamkovich's tag
team partner be? Jack Slade defends the honour of Jessica Haggar
against her ex, Cody Simmons, in a Detroit Street Fight. King Rasta
risks it all to get his monkey back in a match against Skarzz.
And in the biggest match
ever on pay-per-view, Mike Haggar and Zangief, two icons, two legends in
the sport, will face off one on one in a steel cage. There WILL be
a winner!
Let's get to the action.
Cruiserweight
Title Match
Kodiak Marmoset
(c) vs The Actor
The Actor was here because
he had won the top contender's tournament for the cruiserweight shot, going
UNDEFEATED against the other Cruiserweights. In the process, he was
signed and fired by Sky Entertainment Ltd., but that made very little difference,
as he now had the shot.
Kodiak came to the ring
dressed as Kodiak Marmoset, a habit reserved by him and his surprise returning
cornerman -- CLONE!!! Clone had returned to the SMWA, and F-X was
back together.
Kodiak didn't seem too
concerned about that. He came to the ring, shook hands with fans
at ringside, and got in the ring. Would The Actor be able to derail
the Kodiak Express? Or would Kodiak just roll along?
Well, early on, Kodiak seemed
to have all the moves on The Actor. A spinning power bomb was Kodiak's
first move, and from then Kodiak poured on the power, nearly doing the
Actor in with a textbook Northern Lights suplex, then doing it again with
a Cradle suplex. The Actor scurried outside to talk to Clone.
Kodiak slid outside and took both on.
That's when the momentum
changed, as Kodiak was leveled by a clothesline by Clone. The Actor
then took control in the ring.
Actor mat wrestled Kodiak,
but could never get a clear edge -- Kodiak was too powerful. Actor
flew, but Kodiak wouldn't stay down. Finally, a flying frankensteiner
was countered with a big powerbomb. Kodiak took control, almost garnering
a submission with a cloverleaf.
At this point, the Actor
tried to turn the match into a brawl -- bad move. Kodiak was more
then ready, responded in kind, and then hit the Finisher.
Kodiak Marmoset pinned The Actor with the Finisher
in 0:09:58.
Rating: ***
(Kodiak Marmoset retained the SMWA Cruiserweight
Title.)
Before Kodiak could even celebrate his decisive win, Clone jumped him from
behind. The Actor came too, and then joined in on the attack.
Even though Kodiak had just won, it looked like his CAREER might be in
severe jeopardy.
Then, from the stands came
a man. This man jumped in the ring, took on both members of F-X,
hit them both with Superkicks, and sent them scurrying. The fans
then realized they weren't just Superkicks...
They were PROTON KICKS!!!
Johnny Proton, the former SMWA Cruiserweight champion, had returned to
the SMWA and saved Kodiak Marmoset from a beating.
Proton helped Kodiak to
his feet and the two held their hands high! I don't know if there
have ever been two nicer, more genuine men in one ring before!
"You're Better
Than Me" Submission Match
West Bronco
vs "Daredevil" Ron Grayson
Strange thing about
Ron Grayson -- he joins up with rulebreaking cliques, but when it comes
time to wrestle at a major PPV, he wants them to stay in the back.
He did so at Crash Carnival, ordering the Doomsday Hunters to the back.
This time, he did it to Sky Entertainment. Seeing that, West Bronco
had no reason to bring out The Raiders. This match WOULD be one-on-one.
The rules, simple -- the
match ends when one man says "You're better than me!"
Grayson took an early advantage
after a quick brawl, using his high flying tactics to put him ahead.
Bronco was able to regain control with a devastating Tombstone. Problem
was, it knocked Grayson out, and the match couldn't end on a knock-out.
This raised an interesting
point concerning this match -- neither Grayson nor Bronco are known submission
wrestlers. It seemed like each man's strategy was simply to beat
a proclamation out of his opponent.
Grayson was able to rebound
with a faceslam on a chair, and from then on in a lot of the match was
just move after move, brawl after brawl. Pretty much everything in
the ringside area was relocated.
Both men were WAY too stubborn
to give.
The turning point came
when Grayson turned Bronco's bulldog into a back suplex. Climbing
up the top ropes, Grayson went for the Shooting Star legdrop. He
missed. Bronco then hit a rana from out of nowhere and locked on
a clawhold. Applied properly, the hold can knock a man out.
But whenever it looked like Grayson was about to go, Bronco released the
hold, then quickly applied it again, allowing Grayson to briefly regain
his senses each time. In tremendous pain and about to drift into
unconscious, Grayson finally spoke;
"You're better than me!"
And that was that.
The "You're Better Than Me!"Match:
West Bronco made Ron Grayson submit to a clawhold
in 0:39:19.
Rating: ** 1/2
Bronco left the ring, and Grayson then got up. He grabbed the mic.
"Hey West...I take it back!!!"
Not that anything changed
because of that...it just made Grayson look like a wimp.
Circus of Death
Match
Alexander "The
Grater" vs Clepto the Clown
After months of torment, Clepto the Clown was finally going to have to
put up against Grater. And Grater was finally going to get a piece
of the clown.
The ropes were replaced
by barbed wire, while a clown-sized hammer was placed atop a giant pole
(Clepto calls it his "Happy Hammer") The rules were simply. Beat
your opponent up, pin him, try and hit him with the hammer if you can.
Clepto came out first,
spraying fans with seltzer, laughing hysterically. Backstage, Grater
was interviewed.
GRATER: Happy Hammer...DAMN STRAIGHT!!! Sure will be when I break the damn thing over you stupid clown skull. Clepto, you've pissed Grater off one time too many, and I'm fixing to give you a new makeup job -- it's gonna be done in red, you laughing jackass. You're lucky I didn't cripple you way back when you hit me with that pie. Well, I sure as hell f*cked up on that one! Tonight, I'm damn well gonna finish yer ass off!!!
With that, Grater stormed his way into the ring and began taking Grater apart.
Grater hit with punches,
kicks, lariats and everything else. He whipped Clepto right into
the barbed wire, then hit him with a piledriver on the rebound. A
gorrila press to the outside was followed by Grater hitting an incredible
move -- an ASAI MOONSAULT!!! Clepto was in tough.
The action spilled back
inside, where Grater continued his domination. But Clepto wasn't
going to go down so easy. Grater charged with a lariat, but Clepto
countered it with a HOTSHOT on the BARBED WIRE!!! Grater fell to
the match, clutching his throat, which was bleeding.
The ref tried to check
with Grater, but Clepto, laughing, began pounding on Grater, then slapping
him around...bad move.
Grater was hurt, but he
was also pissed. He got up and leveled Clepto, then hit him with
THREE different power bombs!!! He then whipped Clepto to the corner
and tried to follow in with a Tenderizer.
Clepto pulled a frying
pan out of his pants and, as Grater ran in, waffled him. Clepto then
took control with a particularily vicious move.
Drapping Grater's chest
on the bottom ropes, Clepto grabbed his legs and sat back...Grater was
in a BOSTON CRAB as the barbed wire dug deeped into his chest!!!
Grater tried to break free, but when he moved his body up, the back of
his head would get stuck by the barbed wire on the middle rope!!!
Grater wouldn't give, though, and Clepto eventually released the hold...but
Grater was a bloody mess!
Clepto kept it up, flooring
Grater with a superkick and other high impact moves. But Grater had
some tricks up his sleve...or down his trunks. He went into his trunks
for a pair of brass knucks and clocked Clepto, then hit him with a choke
slam. Grater then decided to get vicious himself and hit Clepto with
the knucks again...a bit below the belt! Grater poured it on again
and took it outside. Clepto, recovering, hit Grater over the head
with a chair, then hit him with a Doctor bomb. He then rolled Grater
into the ring and put him in position for a vertical suplex...then began
to spin...IT WAS THE DOOMSDAY TORNADO!!!
Clepto dropped Grater and
went for the pin
1..
2...
NO!!! Grater kicked
out! Amazing!!!
Clepto kept it up, getting
a near fall with a Diamond Cutter. Grater was about done...or
at least it seemed. Clepto flew at him with a flying cross body...
GRATER CAUGHT HIM!!!
A big powerslam took Clepto down. An uppercut by Grater literally
FLIPPED Clepto. Grater had had enough. He picked Clepto up and hit
the Doomsday Tornado like only HE can do it!

Circus of Death Match:
Alexander "The Grater" pinned Clepto the Clown
with the Doomsday Tornado in 0:12:07.
Rating: **** 1/4
Surprisingly,
neither man had gone for the hammer all match. Grater was about to
rectify the situation. He scaled the pole, took the hammer, and then
hit Clepto in the head.
The hammer made a whoopie
cushion type noise, then deflated. Turns out the Happy Hammer was
never a weapon to begin with.
Grater, having had enough,
left the ring, shaking his head.
Great effort by Clepto,
however.
Ghost vs Doomsday w/Extinct
No gimmicks. No fancy
titles. Just a bout between two SMWA destroyers.
Doomsday came out first,
then Ghost...who entered the ring and was flattened. This wasn't
going to be a wrestling match...it was going to be a fight.
Doomsday pounded and pounded
on Ghost, who was beaten bloody in the first two minutes. Finally
reversing an irish whip, Ghost turned the tide with a couple cross bodys
in the corner and then a reverse DDT. But Doomsday took control again
by simply grabbing Ghost by the throat and hanging him.
Ghost broke free by kicking
Doomsday in the stomach and then attempted the Final Breath...Doomsday
just backdropped his way out of the hold. Doomsday then tossed Ghost
outside and followed him out with a FLYING SENTON!
Doomsday maintained control
by Gorilla Pressing Ghost onto the guardrail. Ghost used his power
and speed for limited offense, but it was all Doomsday. Chokeslams,
power bombs...Ghost couldn't get anything going.
Doomsday again tossed Ghost
outside, and that's when the move was made. Ghost reached under the
ring and grabbed a fire extinguisher. As he returned to the ring,
Ghost hit Doomsday below the belt with the weapon, then sprayed him, then
clocked him in the head. Kicking him in the stomach, Ghost again
went for the Final Breath. This time, it connected.
Ghost pinned Doomsday with the Final Breath
in 0:13:00.
Rating: ***1/2
Doomsday didn't stop. He got right up after the pinfall and proceeded to further destroy the already bloody Ghost. It was as if Doomsday had never been pinned. Taking the extinguisher, Doomsday smashed it onto a prone Ghost's head. Ghost barely rolled out of the way, but the blow grazed him and did some damage to his skull. Ghost escaped the ring with the victory, and barely with his life.

Team Title Match
Falls-Count-Anywhere
The Philadelphia
X-Treme Machine (c) w/ Extinct vs Highland Hell w/ Flying Scotsman
Two hardcore teams in a
falls-count-anywhere encounter...should be pretty good.
Hamish Mactavish and Crash
Burnz started the match out, Hamish overpowering Burnz at every turn.
An early suplex through a table by Hamish, and it looked like the belts
were going to leave the PXM in a hurry. But Crash brought in his equalizer
in the form of a trash can, whalloping Hamish over the head.
Battle and Angus were fighting
on the other side of the ring in a fairly even scrap. Nothing at
ringside was safe, including the timekeeper, who Battle used as a projectile,
throwing him into Angus.
Even Extinct and the Scotsman
got into the action, brawling with each other.
The match was non-stop
mayhem. Burnz hit a flying leg lariat with the aid of a chair.
Angus nailed Burnz with a bat, then nearly pinned him with the For William.
Battle took Angus inside, set up a table in the corner, and hit the Post
Breaker, driving Angus' head THROUGH the table.
The match took a turn for
the Highlanders when Battle's hubcap was stolen and used by Hamish, who
waffled both of the PXM with it. He and Angus then hit Battle with
the Scottish Super Cutter...
And from out of nowhere,
Rod Emerson and Andrew Marshall of the Raiders yanked Hamish from the ring.
Marshall put Hamish through a table with a back suplex, while Emerson waffled
Angus in the knees with a steel chair.
At this point, Crash Burnz
was climbing the ropes. As Emerson and Marshall left the ring, Burnz
connected with the 3rd Degree.

The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine defeated
Highland Hell when Burnz pinned Wallace with the 3rd Degree in 0:20:12.

Livid, Highland Hell stormed to the back looking for Marshall and Emerson.
Detroit Street
Fight
"The Cruncher"
Jack Slade w/ Jessica Haggar vs Cody Simmons
The rules of the Detroit
Street Fight are simple -- You start in an alley, and you go from there.
Where ever you end up, you fight. And all a man has to do to win
is pin the other man. Simple enough.
Though Jessica Haggar was
squarely in Jack's corner, she decided to take a seat at ringside, where
she'd be able to get a good look on SlamVision.
Jack Slade and Cody Simmons
started in an alley outside of Joe Louis Arena. The crowd inside
the arena exploded when Slade, the hometown hero, was shown on the screen.
There was no delay in this brawl -- it started pretty quickly.
Slade, upon entering the
alley, tackled Cody into a wall and the two started brawling. The
two rolled on the ground, exchanging punches, with Slade getting the better
of that exchange. Quickly, the brawl in the alley moved near the
parking lot.
Cody and Slade brawled
near the entrance of Joe Louis, finding a garbage can they could use as
a weapon. Cody missed wide on a right hook, and Slade grabbed his
arm, wrapped a half nelson and hit a modified Concussion Bomb into the
hood of a parked car nearby. Slade, not letting go of
the hold, then put Cody's FACE into the windsheild. Cody was a complete
mess, as the owner of the car probably was.
Slade wanted this match
to end in front of the crowd, so he made his way into the arena.
Entering the arena, Cody woke up and started punching away, driving Slade
up a flight of stairs. Hitting Slade with massive lefts and rights,
Cody then found a nearby extension cord and started choking the life out
of Slade. As red as Cody's face was with blood, Slade's was almost
as red as the air was being sucked out of him. As a way to escape,
Slade drove the back of his head into Cody's nose, busting that open, too.
Slade then hit Cody with a power bomb, then backed up for a runnign start.
Cody was on the edge of
the stairwell. Slade ran and slid a boot right into Cody, sending
him rolling down the stairs, stopping when he hit a landing. Cody
was slow to get up, but when he did, he rocked Slade with a dropkick which
sent Slade rolling down the rest of the stairs. And at the bottom
of the stairs, Slade rolled over funny on his knee.
Cody then pulled a pair
of knucks from his back pocket and nailed Slade in the knee. He continued
to punch the knee until Slade was barely able to stand. Then, Cody
started to work the body and let a huge elbow loose on Slade's head.
Jack ducked and hit a Tiger
Suplex as a counter. And both men for a few moments lay motionless
on the floor.
As the two both struggled
to their feet, Slade hit Cody with a Stunner, but that move again put both
men down, as Slade again had troubles with his knee.
For thirty seconds, neither
man moved, then they both got up and took their brawl towards the concession
stands. Slade tried to lock on a vertical suplex, but his knee wouldn't
let him. Cody reversed it and sent Slade into a bunch of SMWA memorabelia.
He then responded to Slade's earlier favour by sending his head into the
display case which was near the concession stand. Now Slade was also
a bloody mess.
The brawl continued, Cody
raking Slade's face against a wall, leaving a trail of blood behind.
Slade was in a tremendous amount of pain, and from her seat at ringside,
Jessica Haggar looked visibly worried. But Slade has a tendency to
produce when in pain and hit Cody with a violent piledriver on the concrete
floor. He went for the pin...

SLADE PULLED CODY UP!!!
In a shock, Slade didn't take the win. Instead, he dragged a half
conscious Cody back into the arena, so all the fans could see. Both
men were in an aisle leading to the ring. With both men this close,
Jessica Haggar decided to get a closer look at the action. In a throng
of people, Slade hit the Spiked DDT on the CONCRETE FLOOR and went for
the pin.

THRE...KICKOUT!!! OH MY
GOD!!! CODY HAD KICKED OUT OF A SPIKED DDT ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR.
Slade, stunned, picked
Cody up by the hair and led him to the ring. As Jack picked Cody
up, Cody stared directly at Jessica, a tired, beleagured look on his face.
We could see Cody mouth something. "Help me," it looked like.
Jess turned her head in horror and disgust.
Slade dragged the groggy
Cody to the ringside area and waffled him with a chair. Again, only
a two count. It was then that Cody woke up and delivered a very stiff
low blow. He then dropped Slade with a television camera.
Cody had Slade against
the ring apron and was hitting him with blow after blow, working the body.
He then rolled Slade into the ring and let him get to his feet, then flooring
him with the trademark 1-2 Uppercut combo. Cody went for a pin as
a stunned audience held it's breath.

2...Jessica Haggar couldn't
watch.
KICKOUT!!!
Slade kicked out.
He then looked at Jessica, who was as shocked as everybody else and winked.
He was going to be okay!
Cody continued to punch
and punch and punch. Right hook. Left straight. Body
shot. Left hook MISSES!!! Slade kicked Cody in the stomach
and hit the Spiked DDT and went for the pin.

DDT in 0:26:56.

Slade had done it.
Cody had been beaten...but not enough. Slade straddled Cody and continued
punching his unconscious rival. Slade had a crazy look in his eyes,
like he was intent on dealing with Cody once and for all! Nothing
could stop him...
Until JESSICA pulled him
off. Keeping Jack back, she told him "Jack, he's done. You
got him. It's over."
The two embraced mid-ring,
Jessica with tears in her eyes. The two left the ring, Slade going
to seek medical attention. Cody had to be taken from the ring on
a stretcher.
This HAS to be the last
chapter between these two...there's nothing else they can do to each other
that wasn't done tonight.
North American
Title Match
The Title vs
One Million Dollars
"Titan" Tim
Redbury (c) vs "The CEO of Sky Entertainment Ltd." Terry Sky
Money couldn't buy Terry
Sky a title, but he sure could offer up a million dollars as incentive
for Titan to beat him.
If anybody thinks the Raiders
and Sky Entertainment are not going to get involved in this match, you're
crazy. Both groups came to the ring with their leaders.
Sky opened up the match
with high flying moves in an attempt to take Titan down. It didn't
quite work. On a flying DDT attempt, Titan just heaved Sky
outside of the ring. Terry was lucky not to break his legs.
Titan followed Sky outside,
only to recieve a chair shot from the Flying Scotsman. Sky then hit
a superkick with the aid of a chair and took Titan inside, where the high
flying offense worked. Sky hit with a flying dropkick and that flying
DDT before going up top again for a flying Frankensteiner.
Titan kicked Sky as he
opened his legs for the move, and Terry fell down in a heap. Titan
then connected with an inverted backbreaker that nearly took Terry out.
He then ran to the ropes, but was tripped by Hamish Mactavish, who was
then attacked by Andrew Marshall.
The rest of the match moved
in remarkably simlar fashion. Titan would get the advantage, Sky
Entertainment would interfere, but Titan would regain the advantage on
his own. And with the referee's under a no-DQ edict for the night,
there was nothing that anybody could do.
Terry Sky got a big flurry
going when he climbed up top and floored Titan with a flying cross body
block with the aid of a chair. He went up top and repeated the move.
Then, Sky went for a flying dropkick, first throwing Titan the chair.
Instead of holding the chair like an idiot, Titan swated Sky from the air!!!
He then hit the Claw Slam.

brawl raged on, but in the ring...

The War of the
Super Powers: Battle of Detroit
The All-Americans
vs Biff Slamkovich and a Mystery Partner
First, we went backstage for an interview with the All-Americans.
GUNLOC: Biff, I really care who you got as your partner, because he couldn't possibly be as good as my teammate Chad, and couldn't even be nearly as good as I was at carrying you around on my back. Simple Biff...the Battle of Detroit is where I win this war, no matter who you've allied yourself with.
It wasn't going to be too hard for Biff to find somebody in the SMWA who would want to take on the hated All-Americans. Zangief had the World Title match to worry about, but there were still men like Nord Fullstrom, The Flying Scotsman, Teioh...people from other countries who would gladly tear Hillsman and Gunloc apart.
The All-Americans made one
of the most interesting entrances in the history of wrestling. A
guitar riff was heard, and the audience almost immediately recognized it.
The All-Americans were entering the ring to Jimmy Hendrix....his version
of the "Star Spangled Banner" that he played at Woodstock!!!
And what made it interesting
was that the crowd stood for the anthem, but BOOED the All-Americans.
A rare moment, indeed.
Biff Slamkovich's entrance
was next...and it started with the playing of a very familiar flute melody.
From the backstage area came Biff Slamkovich and, making his return to
the SMWA....AKIRA WAN-PAI!!!
Akira and Hillsman have
had their wars in the past, neither man getting the edge. If Akira
had to make a return against anybody, this would be it.
Biff and Akira tore right
into the ring and did an excellent job of double teaming the All-Americans.
Double leg lariats, elbows...Gunloc and Chad weren't quite sure what to
do with themselves. But they did end up isolating Akira after a big
bulldog by Hillsman. Gunloc hit a flying dropkick and then the Gut
Crush...and it looked like Akira's return was going to be less eventful
than previously thought.
Until Akira kicked out!!!
And then he tagged to Biff.
For the first time since
their breakup, the Powers would go one-on-one!
Biff started early with
a leg lariat and a Soviet suplex. Gunloc counterd with a Super Power
trademark, the Sonic Fists. Biff again took control with a back suplex
and then kept making crisp tags to Akira.
Biff didn't just want to
beat Gunloc...he wanted to show him how good a tag team wrestler he left
behind.
Akira and Biff dominated
Gunloc until Hillsman managed to tag him on the fly and then leveled Biff
with a big lariat. Biff didn't lose the advantage, though, throwing
Chad outside and hitting him with a plancha. Back inside, Biff threw
Hillsman to the ropes, but Hillsman rebounded with a lariat.
Biff ducked, but the lariat
hit the referee!!! Biff hit a backdrop driver, but there was no ref
to see it...or to see Gunloc come in with a chair.
The AA then took control,
hitting Biff with a double power bomb on that same chair before the ref
woke up. Gunloc made the cover.
1...
2....
NO! Biff was saved
by Akira!
The All-Americans kept
hitting Biff with power double team moves, but couldn't quite get the job
done. Not even the Super Power trademark lariat/tiger suplex could
keep Biff down.
Gunloc poured it on with
a flying elbowdrop and a snap suplex. Whipping Biff into the corner,
Gunloc was rocked by a leg lariat on the rebound. Biff hit another
one, then a Tombstone. A Hammer splash was then hit from the top...but
Biff's pin attempt was broken by Hillsman.
Akira then entered the
ring, and the ref ushered him back into the corner. In the meantime,
Chad grabbed Old Glory and broke it over Biff's head. A stunned Slamkovich
was then hit with the Glory Rocket...
The All-Americans defeated Biff Slamkovich
and Akira Wan-Pai when Gunloc pinned Biff after the Glory Rocket in 0:20:24.
Rating: *** 1/2
GUNLOC PINNED BIFF!!! Sure, it was illegal, but
it was done, and Gunloc had won the first battle in the War of the Super
Powers. Quickly escaping the ring when Akira attacked, the All-Americans
gloated on their way back to the dressing room.
But this war is likely not over.
The Gauntlet of Sin: Part 4 -- The
Last Shot
Rasta's Monkey vs Rasta's Career
(SMWA TV Title also on the line)
King Rasta vs Skarzz w/ Saul Masters
Rasta has also been without his friend since Crash
Carnival in May...it was now a chance to get Bobby back. It was also
a chance to earn freedom for Shadow Maxx (though Rasta was admittedly not
too fond of Maxx at this point) and revoke the restraining order on Grant
Redstone, effectively getting him out of jail.
All Rasta had to put on the line was his career.
Saul Masters entered the ring first with the Sins
and a bevy of ring attendants. He directed traffic and told the attendants
what to do. The ropes were wrapped in barbed wire. A cable
was lowered from the cieling, Bobby the Monkey's cage being attached to
that cable. The cable was raised. And a ladder was brought
out from the back.
Master then grabbed the mic and gave a simple
message; "Rasta, you want him...come and get him!"
Nick Jones was backstage with King Rasta.
JONES: Rasta, about tonight's match...
RASTA: Shaddup! I going to da ring ta do a job, so get dat
mic de 'ell out a my way!!!
And with that, Rasta stormed the ring...right
into all four of the Sins, including Skarzz.
What looked like it could be disastrous wasn't.
RASTA FOUGHT ALL THE SINS OFF!!! Then it was just him and Skarzz.
Rasta wasted no time. He immediately hit Skarzz with a Samoan drop
and a flying kneedrop...which did very little, as Rasta was quickly tossed
into the barbed wire.
Skarzz hit a press slam, a side slam and grated
Rasta's face on the ropes, drawing blood. Glutt put a table into
the ring, and Skarzz hit a power bomb through the table.
Skarzz then grabbed the ladder and set it up.
As Skarzz climbed, Rasta quickly went up the other side and superplexed
Skarzz off. It wasn't going to end just yet.
Rasta hit a fallaway slam, then a front slam...Skarzz
again shrugged it off and nearly decapitated Rasta with a big kick.
Master beckoning him on, Skarzz again went up the ladder.
Rasta knocked over the ladder with a butt bump!
Skarzz fell onto the barbed wire, catching it in between his arm and torso.
Skarzz was caught, Rasta set up the ladder and went for Bobby.
Skarzz freed himself, picked up the ladder and
Rasta, and flung Rasta right off of the top!!! Rasta landed on the
barbed wire, then bounced into the ring.
Skarzz took the ladder, set it up across the
turnbuckles, and then hit the Skarring on the ladder, damaging it some.
Skarzz then picked Rasta up and whipped him into the barbed wire.
Rasta hit, stuck, and then rebounded with a Lou Thez Press....and a big
chomp to the head that TORE OFF some of Skarzz's mask...
We saw some scarred, burnt looking flesh in the
open spot. Rasta temporarily reeled in horror, then sent Skarzz over
the top with a lariat. But, realizing what he had just bitten into,
Rasta lost his lunch in the middle of the ring.
At this point, Saul Masters ordered the other
Sins into the ring to attack. The advantage was temporary, though,
as Rasta fought back. He grabbed the ladder and KOed Glutt.
He hit Blackhook with a low blow with the ladder. He then sent it
straight into Shadow Maxx's face, knocking him out and outside the ring.
Rasta set up the ladder and began the climb.
Seeing Skarrz getting into the ring, Rasta leapt from the top of the ladder
and picked Skarzz off of the ring apron with the DREAD LOCK DROP!!!
And while outside the ring, Rasta hit Masters with a huge lariat.
Rasta re-entered the ring, swiftly got up the
ladder and retrieved his cage. He didn't even wait till he got down
the ladder to open it.
[The Gauntlet of Sin: Part 4 -- The Last Shot
Barbed Wire Ladder Match:
King Rasta defeated Skarzz in 0:16:13.
Rating: ** 1/4
(King Rasta retained the SMWA Television Title,
regained his monkey.)
Rasta
was teary eyed as he held his friend for the first time in months.
It was an emotional moment. Rasta was dumb to the world...but he
noticed Bobby's screams of terror. Skarzz was coming back into the
ring!!!
Rasta grabbed the monkey
cage and smashed it across Skarzz's head! He then gave Bobby another
hug and the two left the ringside area.
Shadow Maxx, the first
Sin to come to, realized what had happened and left his now FORMER teammates
laying.
What a dramatic ending!!!
***Statement from Mike Haggar***
HAGGAR: Almost there. Almost at a shot at number five. Zangief, the fans have wanted this match for a long time, but you know what? No offense to the fans, but I've wanted it a lot longer. This is all about you and me, Zangief...all about number one. And as much as I hate steel cages, I guess this is what we've got to do. We've been distracted, accused and basically detoured from this match, but once that cage is up, no more distractions. No more interference. No more doubts. Just you and me, one on one...may the best man win. I'm smelling number five, Zangief...you better damn well be ready for what's about to happen.

***Go to the ring***
RING ANNOUNCER: Ladies and Gentlemen, please join me in welcoming the special ringside enforcer for this match..."JUMBO" JACK FLAP!!!
The audience errupts as Jumbo, who hasn't been seen since earlier this year, made his way down to the ring. Jack McCullough picked one tough SOB to keep this clean.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the following steel cage match is for the SMWA World Heavyweight Championship. The only way to win this match is to pin your opponent or make him submit inside of the steel cage. It is scheduled for one fall."
***Haggar's music starts playing***
"Making his way to the ring is the challenger. Accompaignied to the ring by his daughter, Jessica. From New York City. Weighing in at three-hundred and ten pounds. He is a former four time SMWA World Heavyweight champion...MIKE HAGGAR!!!"
The audience again explodes as Haggar comes to the ring in the very unfamiliar role of challenger. He gives Jumbo a quick look, then enters the cage. Jessica Haggar again sits down at ringside.
***Zangief's music starts playing***
"His opponent. From Siberia. Weighing in at three-hundred and eight pounds. He is the SMWA Heavyweight Champion of the World. He is...ZANGIEF!!!"
An equally large pop for the heroic Russian, who also gives Jumbo a quick look before entering the ring.
Haggar and Zangief were standing nose to nose in a staredown as the cage was lowered. Even with his well known dislike of cages, Haggar's eyes never left those of Zangief.
Steel Cage
Match for the SMWA World Heavyweight Title
Zangief (c)
vs Mike Haggar
The
staredown was broken by a shove from Zangief. Haggar responded in
kind. Each man took turns tossing the other down in the lockup.
A test of strength went nowhere, as the two men stood in the middle of
the ring, neither gaining an advantage.
The match then broke loose,
each man going for power moves. Belly-to-back suplexes, powerslams,
lariats...Haggar and Zangief exchanged move for move, neither man gaining
any sort of advantage. Haggar got the first edge with a spinning
lariat, but he prematurely went for the Screwdriver. Zangief backdropped
him off.
Zangief then hit his own
spinning lariat and went for the Siberian Bear Crusher. Haggar backdropped
him off.
Neither man was quite sure
what to do with the other...so they brawled.
These two titans exchanged
blows in the middle of the ring for one whole minute before Haggar got
the advantage, running Zangief's face into the cage. He then quickly
got a big advantage with a power bomb and a flying legdrop. An elbowdrop,
and Haggar went for the pin.
It was too early.
Undaunted, Haggar hit Zangief
with a vertical suplex, then climbed to the top of the cage. An escape
wouldn't win it, but that wasn't what Haggar had planned. Instead,
Haggar JUMPED off of the cage and leveled Zangief with a flying clothesline!!!

2...KICKOUT!!!
Zangief wasn't even close
to being finished.
Haggar droped Zangief with
a piledriver and again went up top, this time to hit a flying axhandle.
Zangief caught Haggar in mid flight and delivered a spinebuster!!!
Zangief, probably wanting
Haggar to never climb that cage again, locked on an achilles tendon hold.
The ref asked, but there was no way Haggar was going to give this early
in a match this big. He made it to the ropes, and the hold was broken.
Zangief poured it on.
A vertical suplex got a two count. As did a power bomb. Move
after powerful move, Zangief was unable to pin Haggar. Switching
tactics, Zangief locked on a sleeperhold.
Haggar was going out.
He could barely stand. He slumped to the mat. The ref checked
the arm. It dropped twice, but on the thrid try, Haggar got up and
broke the hold with a jawbreaker. And the brawl was on.
Haggar drove Zangief back
into a corner with lefts and rights and headbutts. Zangief reversed
Haggar's irish whip, sending Haggar to the other corner, where Haggar was
met with an avalanche. Zangief unleashed a flurry of chops, redening
Haggar's chest. He then hit a piledriver for a near fall.
Zangief then whipped Haggar
into the cage and charged. Haggar sidestepped and sent Zangief face
first into the cage. Looking to end it early, Hagger nailed the SCREWDRIVER!!!
The ref got down and counted.

2...
KICKOUT!!! Zangief
kicked out of the Screwdriver!!! Unbelieveable!!! Haggar then whipped
a groggy Zangief into the cage and charged after him. Zangief, still
reeling from the Screwdriver, fell to the mat as a flying Haggar hit one
of the support beams in the cage head first, busting himself open.
Both men were down. The ref couldn't count...he just had to wait.
Haggar and Zangief both
got up very slowly when out of nowhere, Zangief connected with a boot to
the head. The big Russian bellowed to the crowd, who responded accordingly.
Placing Haggar on the turnbuckles,
Zangief hit a Soviet superplex. Two count. With Haggar caught
between the ropes and the cage, Zangief rocked him with a lariat.
Two count. Zangief hit a tombstone piledriver and, as if to show
Haggar up, put a little spin into it. Two count. Deciding enough
was enough, Zangief signalled the Bear Crusher.
Zangief picked Haggar up
and ran. But instead of diving to the mat, Zangief kept running...TOWARDS
THE CAGE!!!
ZANGIEF WAS GOING TO BOUNCE
HAGGAR OFF THE CAGE WITH THE SIBERIAN BEAR CRUSHER!!!
Zangief ran.
The cage got nearer.
Then, for what was likely
the first time in his life, Haggar flipped down and hit Zangief with a
FRANKENSTEINER!!! And with Zangief's momentum, his head went smashing
into the cage as Haggar delivered the move.
A groggy Zangief was then
hit with a spinning lariat. Then the Screwdriver. The crowd
held it's breath.

The cage was raised. Jumbo grabbed the belt and was about to give it to Haggar as Zangief snatched it away. But Zangief knew it was no longer his. He handed the title to Haggar and shook his hand. Then Zangief left the ring.
For the fifth time in his illustrious career, Mike Haggar was SMWA World Heavyweight Champion! As the crowd cheered, he and Jessica took it all in.
