Forces of epic proportions are preparing to clash.
"The PXM. Skarzz. Grater. This isn't going to be pretty."
Some men are fighting to regain their independance.
"I'm through of being your bloody pawn, Sky. I'm on my own now."
Some fight to regain lost glory.
"Three referees, Kent. Cheat your way out of that one."
Some fight for their country.
"Zangief, you're trusting Mike Haggar to hold your flag? You just lost your World Title..."
"I'll beat your ass like I did Slamkovich"
While others fight to fight another day.
"Here's my flag, Haggar. You better hold on to it..."
"Loser Throws In The Flag!"
"Hillsman, if you don't throw in that flag...YOU just lost your teammate."
"Haggar, after this Saturday, you and me are on different sides."
"You got it, Zangief."

Ladies and gentlemen, the situation is critical. Go to Code Red.

Live from Miami, Florida, The Slam Masters Wrestling Association presents...

Slam Masters: Code Red!

The show started off with footage of the All-Americans arriving at the arena, then footage of Zangief and Mike Haggar arriving seperately. It was also reported that, even though both men have been in the building for hours, neither wanted to see the other before the big main event.

Should be interesting to see these two co-exist. On to the action...

Match 1: Cruiserweight Title Match - Kodiak Marmoset (c) vs El Stingray

Call air traffic control, Air Stingray was in the house. The opening minutes of this match were fought in the air as Stingray dazzled the much more powerful Kodiak with high-flying manoevers. Kodiak was able to keep pace somewhat, but did seem to have trouble with the much swifter Stingray. Eventually bringing the match back to the mat, Kodiak began to hit a few counters and backslides. He gained the advantage when Stingray's handspring elbow met nothing but air.

The rest of the match went back and forth. Kodiak locked on his Ziplock/Cloverleaf combo, while Stingray was able to break free and hit a great slingshot legdrop. Kodiak powered his way through with a spinebuster and a Northern lights suplex, while Stingray managed to hit his SuperStar Press through a ringside table, then followed with an Asai moonsault. Stingray looked to be gaining momentum as he threw Kodiak back into the ring and tried to his a top rope frankensteiner. Kodiak countered with a devastating power bomb. From there is was all Kodiak. Stingray was able to kick out of a springboard dropkick, a flying frankensteiner, and a Vaderbomb. A flying cross body block nearly ended it. The Finisher did.

Kodiak Marmoset pinned El Stingray with the Finisher in 0:11:13.

Match 2: Elimination Match - Highland Hell & Lantern of Sky Entertainment Ltd. vs Los Viajeros Dos Mil, Teknos, and Naga Yajito

A wild encounter. This could be the last dance for the Viajeros team in this feud if they were not successful against their much larger opponents, who have really dominated the feud.

The bout started off with an eight man brawl, eventually settling down to BC-2000 and Lantern to start it off. Terry Sky immediately showed that, as CEO of Sky Entertainment Ltd., he could be a difference maker, shoving the raging luchador off of the top turnbuckle early on. However, BC did rebound, flooring the Flying Scotsman with a beautiful flying shoulderblock and backdropping a Hamish Mactavish Scottish Slam attempt.

Tags came quick and furious in this one, back and forth for the first fifteen minutes. Los Viajeros kept the match speedy and fairly technical, though the crowd was shocked to see Naga Yajito take a frying pan to the head of Angus Wallace. IS-2000 then caught Angus in a double reverse chinlock, nearly putting him out. He then kept the big man off balance with enzuigiris and springboard dropkicks, teaming with Naga to floor the big man with a double dropkick to the knee.

However, again, Terry Sky became a factor. Distracting the referee, the Scotsman hit Teknos, who was the legal man at the time, with a chair. Both Teknos and the struggling Angus tagged out.

In the ring were Naga Yajito and Lantern. Naga hit a backdrop driver and locked on the Sunfire Stretch. That was all...

x Yajito beat Lantern via the Sunfire Stretch in 0:20:58

Stunned and upset, Highland Hell beat down their luchador comrade, who was helped away by Sky, who returned to the ring very quickly to hit Naga Yajito on the back with a chair....in full view of the referee....

x Yajito beat Wallace via disqualification in 0:21:35

It was now the two childhood friends of Hamish Mactavish and the Flying Scotsman against all four of the Viajeros team. The Scotsman wasted no time taking down the incapacitated Yajito.

x Scotsman beat Yajito via a sleeperhold in 0:22:52

IS-2000 then charged the ring, only to be hit with some sweet chin music. Scotsman put IS-2000 up top and nailed him with a tope-rope Frankensteiner.

x Scotsman beat IS-2000 via a top-rope Frankensteiner in 0:23:04

And suddenly, it was even. BC-2000 jumped into the ring, immediatlely taking it to the Scotsman. But he never saw Hamish come from behind and clobber him with a lariat. A Scottish Breaker later...

x Scotsman beat BC-2000 via the Scottish Breaker in 0:25:20

Teknos had to face two huge scots. He tried hard, and almost hit the Teknospinner on the Scotsman...but TFS had just tagged out to Hamish, who grabbed Teknos and hit him with a tope-rope Piledriver.

x Hamish beat Teknos via a top-rope piledriver in 0:26:14

The Flying Scotsman/Hamish MacTavish/Angus Wallace/Lantern beat BC-2000/IS-2000/Naga Yajito/Teknos 4 falls to 2:

Survivors: The Flying Scotsman/Hamish MacTavish

An impressive comeback by the two Scots. This feud, for all inents and purposes, is now over.

Match 3: World Tag Team Titles - Alexander "The Grater" & Skarzz (c) vs The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine

Find four scarier men in wrestling. Though so. Grater and Skarzz to the PXM by surprise by doing what few other teams have tried...jumping them. The match was a brawl from start to finish. No slow grind, just a lot of chairs, bells, tables...with the ref letting it all go. Grater hit the first big move of the match as, while Burnz was outside, he hit him with a MOONSAULT!!! Skarzz was then tagged in, and he Burnz with the Skarring TWICE!!! Grater and Skarzz were on their way to totally destroying the PXM!

Of course that was until Clepto the Clown appeared at ringside. Grater, unable to control his rage and wanting to get at the clown in the worst way, LEFT the ring and gave chase. This left Skarzz alone to be CLOBBERED by Slash Battle. The PXM went to work. They hit Skarzz with launch slams, lariats, powerbombs and TWO spiked piledrivers...but Skarzz wouldn't stay down for the three. He kept on coming. But where was Grater?

As Extinct and Saul Masters started to brawl outside the ring, Grater came running back down to the ring, ran in and ran right over the PXM, allowing Skarzz to make the tag. He dominated both men, tossing Burnz from the ring and hitting Battle with the Doomsday Tornado. And he went for the pin...

And there was Clepto, who sprayed Grater with a face full of seltzer. As the ref was distracted by the battling managers and Skarzz went for Clepto, Crash Burnz re-entered the ring and hit Grater over the head with a hubcap. Slash staggered over and made the pin.

The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine beat Alexander "The Grater" and Skarzz when Slash pinned Grater after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:16:56.

Grater got up a minute later and immediately gave chase.

Match 3: With Three Referees at Ringside - "Tricky" Rick Clark vs "The Rebel" Jerry Kent

No Superman jokes, okay? Two former World Champions and North American Champions, both Clark and Kent needed this match to regain a little lost career momentum since losing their belts at Heatwave.

First to the ring were the three referees that were suggested by Clark to keep Kent honest. Clark and Kent then entered, and the match started very slow. These two know each other well enough to respect the skills of the other. Plenty of collegiate style mat wrestling, submission holds and mat grappling. Clark gained the advantage when he backdropped Kent and Jerry landed badly on his knee. Clark immediately hit a Sky-Driver and went for the pin. Well, Kent was too close to the ropes and, even though the referee inside the ring counted three, the one on the outside saw Kent's foot under the ring and ordered the match to continue.

Clark started his slow grind offense again, trapping Kent in an Octopus hold for about a minute and nearly getting a three count with a Dragon suplex. Clark went for a superkick...but Kent ducked it and nearly got a three count with a rollup. Kent then hit Clark with a dropkick that sent him spiraling to the outside.

Outside the ring, Kent was able to hit Clark with some of his more hardcore moves, including tossing him into the ringsteps and posts and slamming him through a table before the referees could intervene. Kent rolled him into the ring and nearly scored a three with a fisherman's suplex.

Clark got up, ducked a lariat and hit a Dragon Suplex that nearly snapped Kent's neck in two. He then locked on an STF which was on for 90 seconds before Kent was able to get an arm on the ropes. Clark then hit a bridge suplex, but the referee was slightly out of position for the count. A high cross body by Clark also nearly netted a three.

Kent rebounded with some great brawling, leveling Kent with lariat after lariat and nearly winning with a German suplex. But when he went up on top, that was the end of the comeback.Clark tossed Kent off the top and then hit the Sky-Driver and went for the pin....with his feet on the ropes. The outside ref noticed Clark's stupid move and ordered the match to continue.

Clark took Kent to the middle and recieved a DDT mid ring. The two men staggered to their feet. Kent went for a hiptoss, which Clark countered with an abdominal stretch, which was countered with a lariat, which Clark ducked and turned into a backslide.

Rick Clark pinned Jerry Kent after a backslide in 0:20:58.
*****

A true wrestling classic. After the match, Kent and Clark exchanged a stare, but no words or blows in the middle of the ring. It was a look of respect, but also a look that said "I'll see you again soon".

Match 5: North American Title Match -"Titan" Tim Redbury (c) vs "The Jackhammer" Andrew Marshall

Andrew Marshall is one of the most powerful young stars in the SMWA...but he isn't 7'7", 440 lbs. Jackhammer tried to do everything he could to chop the big Titan down, but his power just wasn't cutting it as much. Clotheslines, forearms, flying shoulders...Titan would not be knocked down. And when he wrapped his massive hands around Marshall's throat, the momentum Marshall did have left in a hurry. But Marshall wouldn't give. Switching strategies, Marshall tried some flying moves, including three dropkicks which staggered Titan. Marshall went for an early end with the De-Facer, but he couldn't get the enourmous Brit up. Titan took control with a Russian legsweep and dominated with power. On a pin attempt, he was distracted...by Terry Sky coming to ringside and pulling his leg.

Titan went to the side of the ring and confronted Terry. Marshall took the advantage and nailed Titan with a flying shoulderblock off of the top rope, two clotheslines and a reverse clothesline that took the big Titan down.Marshall then Irish whipped Titan to the ropes, but the whip was reversed. Sky, thinking he'd be tripping Titan, accidentally tripped Marshall. But the match carried on. Marshall was on a roll. He floored Titan with a bodyslam and climbed the top rope for another flying shoulder. Marshall flew. Titan caught him in the Clam Slam. The ref counted.

Titan Tim Redbury pinned Andrew Marshall with the Claw Slam in 0:28:46.

Terry Sky got the hell out of dodge.

Match 6: Loser-Throws-In-The-Flag-Match for the SMWA World Heavyweight Title - Zangief (c) w/Mike Haggar vs Gunloc w/All-American partner Chad Hillsman

This match works like a towel match. The first man to throw in the flag loses. Mike Haggar carried the colours of Zangief's native Russia, while Hillsman carried the Red, White, and Blue.

Haggar and Zangief hadn't talked until about five minutes before the match, and even then, it was apparently a very cold conversation. This match was all about business. Zangief stormed the ring and jumped Gunloc, looking to extract a pound of flesh against the man who injured his friend Biff Slamkovich a month earlier. Zangief tossed Gunloc around and hit a power bomb that nearly splintered Gunloc's back. He then went up top for a flying elbow. Gunloc got up and tossed Zangief off with a belly-to-belly superplex. So much for the feeling out process. This match was all power, rage and high impact. We saw a tombstone started by Zangief reversed by Gunloc and the reversed again by Zangief. Gunloc went to work with lariats and savate kicks, while Zangief managed to hit his power bomb/flying elbow combo.

On the outside, Haggar and Hillsman taunted each other repeatedly, each man trying to get the other to drop the colours. Neither man obliged. Zangief hit Gunloc with a Siberian Bear Crusher mid-ring. Hillsman didn't drop the flag.

Gunloc took the action outside and hit a Gut Crush on a steel chair. Haggar clenched his flag tighter.

The action returned to the ring, where Gunloc went up top and dropped a devastating flying headbutt and then backdropped Zangief over the ropes again. Climbing to the top ropes, Gunloc went airborne with a flying dropkick to the outside. Gunloc was then met with a chair to the back. But Mike Haggar was on the other side of the ring. Zangief was down. Hillsman wouldn't have hit him. A fan had climbed over the ropes and whalloped Gunloc twice with a chair. The fan lowered the hood on his sweatshirt, revealing himself to be BIFF SLAMKOVICH!!!

Gunloc was rolled into the ring, where Zangeif went to work. Hillsman protested to the referee, but to no avail. Seeing an easy shot at the man who caused his friend to turn, Slamkovich whalloped Hillsman with a chair. The pain caused Hillsman to drop his flag in the ring. The ref saw it and called for the bell.

Zangief (w/Mike Haggar) defeated Gunloc (w/Chad Hillsman) with an avalanche in 28:58

Biff, Zangief, and Haggar all stood mid-ring. Haggar gave Zangief back the flag, and the two exchanged a handshake of respect. No more alliances. They'll fight at Back Street Brawl.
