March 27th, 1999
From Rupert C. Thompson Arena, Hanover, New Hampshire
It's Saturday Night!  Do you know where YOUR action is?

From the Campus of the Big Green itself, Dartmouth University, we're bringing you another exciting night of Saturday Night Slam Masters!  Tonight is going to be a Saturday Night like no other.
Johnny Proton, the newest member of Counterstrike, is here, ready to defend his Cruiserweight Title against Spoon Man.  But Major Force is represented as well, as Ghost takes on Lantern!
We will see two rematches from The Journey, as Grant Redstone gets a chance to reclaim his TV Title from Andrew Marshall, while "Titan" Tim Redbury does battle once more with the Dark Brand.
Doomsday will be in action tonight, taking on a struggling but always tough Rod Emerson.
The war with the Baki Mono continues, as Teioh and Zuzanow take on Oni and NightClaw II.  One has to wonder who else will make an appearance.
The Saturday Night Tradition continues with another Luck of the Draw Match
And, two big main event matches.  First, Highland Hell defends their newly won tag team titles against the StB duo of Cody Simmons and Ron Grayson.  Cody's already taken the Toughman belt from the Flying Scotsman.  Could he end up a co-holder of the Tag Titles?
After Monday Night, Jack McCullough and the Scorpion had a long conference.  The end result?  Tonight, we will see the All-Americans against the Eastern Powers in tag team competition in a triangle match.  The third team?  Mike Haggar and Jack Slade!
Johnny Lee and Tony B are on the mics at ringside, Nick Jones is backstage, set for interviews, and we're ready for our first match!

SMWA Cruiserweight Title Match
Johnny Proton (C)
vs
Spoon Man

Ever get the feeling that Johnny Proton is the only bastion of sanity in the SMWA Cruiserweight division?  I mean, he's fighting against a man who communicates by tapping spoons!  Heck, even Kodiak Marmoset, the closest thing to a normal guy, is now out of the Cruiserweight division and is certifiably insane.
Spoon Man has looked sharp over the past few weeks, with a few upsets here and there, but he's fighting against a man who Mike Haggar and Jack Slade picked to fight on their side.  The victor in this one shouldn't be too hard to figure.

As a matter of fact, Proton didn't have too much trouble handling Spoon Man throughout this match.  He did have considerable trouble putting him away, however.  In the early going, Spoon was rocked by the fast paced offence of Proton, but he wouldn't be pinned.  He managed to gain a very brief advantage in the middle of the match, backdropping out of a power bomb attempt and then smashing Proton with a flying shoulderblock, but that was the best Spoon Man could muster.  Apart from a few, brief flurries, Proton owned this match.
After nearly going down to a DDT, Spoon Man again fought back, flooring Proton with a bulldog.  As Proton got up, Spoon Man jumped off the middle ropes and hit a moonsault.  Proton managed to catch Spoon and spike him to the ground with a Tombstone!  Proton went on a big flurry with a flying elbowdrop, a frog splash and several cradle attempts.  In the end, though, it was the trusty Proton kick, the same kick Proton used to knock Scorpion from the ring on Monday Night.  Spoon man survived a while, but in the end, he had no chance.

Johnny Proton pinned Spoon Man with the Proton kick in 0:09:07.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Johnny Proton retained the SMWA Cruiserweight Title.)

Johnny Proton grabbed the belt and made his way to the back, victorious.

******** Cue Ghost's Music ********

Ghost!  He was scheduled to fight Lantern next!  What was he doing out here, now?
Johnny Proton stopped right in his tracks as Ghost and Saul Masters began to advance towards the ring.  Proton was standing in their way!  This could get very messy.
Ghost walked to Proton and stopped about five feet in front of him.  Masters pointed at him and shouted a warning.

Masters:  Not tonight, Proton.  Monday.  Monday, it's over for you!

With that, Masters and Ghost walked right by Proton, who was ready for anything that Major Force might throw at him.  Oddly enough, there was no attack.  Nothing at all.
Monday?  What is Saul Masters talking about?  What does Major Force have planned for Proton on Massacre?

Ghost
w/ Saul Masters
vs
Lantern

When we returned, Ghost hadn't left the ring.  He was waiting on his opponent, the former Cruiserweight Champion, to come down to the ring.  It didn't take Lantern long to run down the aisle.  And it didn't' take Ghost long after that.

The Pale Rider turned this in to a very painful squash.  Lantern was overpowered from the start, and Ghost managed to avoid all of his high-flying moves.  A Death Valley Driver would have spelled the end for Lantern had Ghost not picked him up off the mat.  Lantern started fighting back with a series of dropkicks.  He ran off the ropes and dove at Ghost, who caught him and dropped him on the top ropes with a Hotshot!  Lantern snapped back, and Ghost set him up for the Final Breath!  But the last of Lantern had been taken out by the Hotshot.  Ghost let his opponent fall to the mat and made the cover.  What a display!

Ghost pinned Lantern after a Hotshot in 0:03:45.
Rating: *** 1/4

Damn impressive.  Ghost and Saul Masters left the ring after an easy night.  Before disappearing into the back, Masters looked right at one of our cameras and once again cryptically stated "Monday, Proton."  What does Major Force have planned?
Backstage, Nick Jones was ready to provide us with an interview.

Jones:  Welcome to Saturday Night Slam Masters, fans.  What a crazy way to open things up, and I know I'm wondering what Saul Masters has in store for Johnny Proton on Monday Night.  With me now are two men who, later tonight, are going to be involved in a massive triangle match.  They are the Eastern Powers, Biff Slamkovich and Zangief!  Gentlemen, welcome to Saturday Night Slam Masters.  Now, I have to ask, after Monday Night, there's been a lot of speculation about you, Zangief.  How much, really, do you owe Major Force?

Zangief:  Jonz, I don't owe Major Forze a zing.  No man controls Zangief, and zat includes Scorpion, Saul Masters or anybody else!

Jones:  Well, things did look different on Monday Night, Zangief.

Zangief:  Monday waz Monday, Jonz.  This is tonight!

Biff:  There is nothing going on between us and Major Force, Jones.  They gave Zangief a match and threatened to fire him.  Vat vould you do?

Jones:  Okay, Biff.  If there's nothing going on with Major Force, explain the match tonight?

Biff:  The match vas signed, we had no part of it.  I don't know if Major Force signed it, but it's possible.  I vill say this, though.  Ve vill not get drawn in to this war.  This is between Major Force and the Counterstrike.  The Eastern Powers are out of it.

Zangief:  Tonight, ve get many chance to get a lot of revenge.  I get ze chance to take on Mike Haggar von more time, I get anozer chance to destroy Chad Hillsman, and Biff gets anozer chance at Gunloc.  Major Force or no, I'm looking forward to zis match.

Jones:  So, just for the record, there is no working relationship between you and Major Force.

Zangief:  Ve vreztle who ve are told, Jones.  Zat is zat.

Jones:  Well, guys, thanks for your time.  The Eastern Powers.  Tonight, they'll take on The All-Americans and the Counterstrike founders, Mike Haggar and Jack Slade.  Even if Major Force wasn't involved in setting this match up, which is highly unlikely, one has to wonder if they'll get involved.  We'll be back with more action after this!

The Battle with the Baki Mono
The Baki Mono
Zuzanow and Teioh
w/ Zists and Teioh
vs
Oni and NightClaw II

It's been a crazy feud since the beginning.  Oni appearing as a Light Being.  The introduction of the mystical Baki Mono.  The return of a NightClaw, and the unveiling of Deadline.  The feud is building to a massive six man tag at Showdown.  Tonight, two thirds of each team will square off in what should be a fantastic match.
Shockingly, the introductions of both teams were somewhat straightforward.  Both teams used the entrance and, even though the arena was filled with darkness, lightning, winds, flashes of light and blue flames, it wasn't as spectacular as we had come to expect.  Perhaps the teams are less concerned with showing their power than showing what they can do to one another.  Still, don't expect this to get any less confusing.

This match, as per usual with these two sides, was a phenomenal brawl from the get go.  This time around, it was the Baki Mono getting the edge, isolating Oni and hitting him with a string of double team high risk moves.  Oni finally managed to fight back, flooring Zuzanow with a Cyclone kick!  The tag was made to NightClaw, and those two went to work.  They took Zuzanow down with a double legsweep faceslam.  NightClaw went for the pin and got a two count.
The brawling picked back up, and Zuzanow took control with a nerve pinch.  The tag was made to Teioh, who walked right in to a Frankensteiner from NightClaw.  Oni was tagged in and Teioh was treated to a beautiful succession of knife edge chops from both men.  Again, this match turned in to a fight, with Oni slowly dismantling Teioh.  However, a chop from the top ropes was countered by a vicious spin kick that put Oni on his back.  Teioh tagged in to Zuzanow, and the two followed up with a double thrust kick.  Oni was in big trouble, unable to avoid the incredible double team tactics of the Baki Mono.  It looked like it was over when Teioh went up top for the Dark Moon!  At the last second, though, Oni rolled out of the way and NightClaw was tagged in!  He took Teioh down again with a corkscrew dropkick.  Zuzanow came in, but it was to no avail.  NightClaw took him down, too.
The ring was soon engulfed in a four man brawl, and that's when Zists and Iznami made their move.  Iznami jumped on to the apron and tried to persuade the ref to restore order.  While Iznami was on the apron, NightClaw had Teioh set in the Tiger Suplex!  Zists tossed Zuzanow a set of nunchuks.  Zuzanow smacked Oni in the head and then cracked NightClaw in the back of the head.  NightClaw fell to the mat and Zuzanow made the cover.  Iznami physically turned the ref around, allowing him to see the cover and make the count.

Baki Mono (Teioh and Zuzanow) defeated Oni and NightClaw II when Zuzanow pinned NightClaw II after hitting him with nunchuks in 0:07:12.
Rating: *** 1/4

Right as the three count was registered, the massive white strobes that are the trademark of Deadline began to flash through the arena.  We were all waiting for the Defender to make his appearance.  Suddenly, after one of the flashes, Deadline was in the ring!  He grabbed Teioh and Zuzanow by their throats and lifted them up in a double choke slam!  The strobes accelerated at an awesome rate, and then nothing.  The arena was black.  When the lights came back up, Oni, NightClaw and Deadline were gone, and the Baki Mono were left laying in the ring.
Deadline is once again making saves.  What will he do at Showdown?

SMWA TV Title
"Jackhammer" Andrew Marshall (C)
vs
"Big Oz" Grant Redstone

They met at The Journey, where Andrew Marshall became the New TV Champion.  Since then, the gruff Marshall has promised that he will be the longest reigning TV Champion of all time.  However, to make good on that claim, he'll have to go another round with Big Oz himself.

Redstone had things going in the early minutes of this match, using his suplex knowledge to pitch Marshall about the ring like a rag dog.  Unfortunately for Redstone, though, his one failing kept catching up to him.  He was unable, or unwilling, to make the pin when necessary.  As such, Marshall had the chance to come back.  When Redstone went to the top ropes, Marshall stopped him and planted him on the mat with a flying powerslam.  It was now Marshall's time to shine, and shine he did.
Redstone was rocked by Marshall's diverse, high-impact offence.  A Jackhammer nearly put Big Oz down for the count, as did a reverse clothesline.  However, Marshall wasn't in control as much as he might have thought.  Emerson got out of a vertical suplex attempt and flipped Marshall on to his head with a German suplex.  Redstone again went at it with his suplexes, but he actually made covers this time.  A release Tiger suplex nearly had Marshall.
However, things once again didn't last.  Marshall began fighting back and the two foes went move for move as the match wound down.  Redstone got the edge with a Soviet suplex and went back up top.  Marshall got up and crotched Redstone on the top.  Quickly, Marshall got Redstone on his shoulder, ran forward and planted him with the De-Facer.  That was the end of that one.

Andrew Marshall pinned Grant Redstone with the De-Facer in 0:07:40.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Andrew Marshall retained the SMWA Television Title.)

A great fight between two young guns, but Marshall once again proved he has the edge in seasoning between these two.  Where Redstone hesitates, Marshall wins.

"Titan" Tim Redbury
vs
The Dark Brand

Their Elsinore Death Match at Journey was nothing short of spectacular.  In fact, it has prompted talks from several SMWA officials, talks that have centred around both men being given shots against West Bronco for the North American Title.  Tonight's match could very well push things in the favour of one man.
A lot of fans were impressed by the efforts of both men at the Journey, and as such, the Brand has picked up a few fans here and there.  Still, his response was nothing compared to the roaring ovation of Titan Tim.  These two old acting buddies were ready to put on one more "show", as the Brand's alter-ego, Joseph McAllister, likes to call it.  Should be another good one.

The Brand feigned a lock up at the start of the match and immediately started pelting Titan with elbows and kicks.  The big man shrugged the blows off and tossed Brand to the mat.  Still, Brand wouldn't be deterred.  He was a good deal faster than Titan, and used that to his advantage, not allowing himself to get caught.  Finally, Brand got the edge, flying at Titan with a high cross body but shifting himself in mid, delivering a flying DDT!  Titan went down and the Brand went up to the top.  He crashed down on Titan with an elbowdrop and went for the cover.  Two count.
The Brand has been one of the better wrestlers when it comes to handling Titan, and that showed tonight.  Using his speed and martial arts, Brand ran circles around Titan with a variety of kicks.  However, an irish whip attempt backfired.  The Brand didn't even have to lower his head, as the massive Titan reached down and took a standing Brand down with a swinging neckbreaker!  Brand hit the mat, but quickly got up and fired a right at Titan.  Titan caught the hand and took the Brand down with an armbreaker.  Advantage, Titan.
Redbury tossed the Brand around for a good spell until he missed on an avalanche.  The Brand quickly climbed the ropes and tried to lock on the Nightfall, but Titan tossed Brand up in the air, breaking the hold.  At this point, the match turned in to a nice brawl, with the Brand getting more shots in but Titan hitting the ones that counted.  A low blow put things in the favour of the Brand.  He came off the ropes and went for another one of his modified DDT's.  This time, Titan got his hand around the Brand's face, lifted him up in the air and dropped him with the Claw Slam!  This one went the way of the Titan!

Titan Tim Redbury pinned The Dark Brand with the Claw Slam in 0:07:11.
Rating: ** 3/4

A win by Titan, but still another impressive effort by the Brand.  Maybe the question of a top contender for the North American Title hasn't been cleared up just yet.
We went backstage, where Nick Jones was talking to another third of our tag team main event.

Jones:  Another impressive match between those old rivals from London, the Dark Brand and Titan Tim.  Now, with me are the All-Americans, Chad Hillsman and Gunloc.  Guys, I'm going to ask you the same question I asked The Eastern Powers earlier tonight.  On the heels of this Monday night, the scheduling of this match seems a little suspect.  Do either of you care to comment?

Hillsman:  First of all, don't you ever, EVER start one of my interviews by praising two crumpet eating pansies like Titan Tim and the Dark Brand, Jones.  I'm not here to listen to your crap.  Now, as far as your accusation goes, me and Gunloc are competitors, and we get signed for matches.  That's the way it works here in the SMWA.  Tonight, we've been signed to get another chance at the Commie Bastard and the Potato Eating Ukey, along with those two overblown, over hyped peons, Mike Haggar and Jack Slade.  If it's Scorpion who wanted it, or the Canuck McCullough, I really don't care.  I'm here to kick some ass.

Gunloc:  Jones, I know you're a "reporter", and you're always looking for your little story, but there's nothing here except me and Chad kicking some major ass.  We'll get rid of old Mike and his shadow boy first, and then, I'm going to prove once and for all who the man who carried the Super Powers all those years was, and Chad's going to send Zangief back home to the farm.  There's your story.

Hillsman:  God Bless America!

Jones:  Well, fans, they've denied it, too, but that's not the end of the story.  Later tonight, I'll be talking to Mike Haggar and Jack Slade, but coming up next, tag team action of a different sort as the World Tag Team Titles are on the line!

SMWA Tag Team Title Match
Highland Hell (C)
vs
Simply the Best
Cody Simmons & Ron Grayson

What a match this should be.
Scant weeks ago, Highland Hell humiliated Ron Grayson and Cody Simmons when the Flying Scotsman took the object of both their affections, Monica.  Since then, StB has declared war upon the Highlanders.  It's a war that Grayson and Simmons are very determined to win.
Cody and Ron came out first, and was the crowd ever loving it.  It's a forgone conclusion that the University towns usually love StB, and Hanover, New Hampshire was no different.  Cody and Ron grabbed a couple of mics and got ready to turn the town on it's ear.

Cody:  Hello, Big Green!  We're going to turn the Ivy League on it's ass tonight!

Grayson:  You know, that school in my hometown... Cornell?

Well, Dartmouth didn't like that name.  Old Ivy League rivals, I suppose.

Grayson:  Yeah, well, they wouldn't take me.  How about you, Dartmouth?  Is Ron Grayson smart enough to be a part of the Ivy League?

Cody:  PFFT!!!  Right, Ron.  Now, Highland Hell, you know what ol' Graemey did, and you know what I did to him on Monday Night.  Tonight, it's time for StB to pick up just that much more gold.  And if you don't like it, we don't care because, Ron?

Together:  We're Simply the Best, we're assholes, and damn proud of it!

Grayson:  And I'm Dartmouth smart, too!

    No, Ron.  No.
The Highlanders stormed the ring next.  Highland Hell's always been a group that sticks together, and if you feud with one of them, you're messing with them all.  With that in mind, you can be sure that Cody and Ron were going to get a beating on behalf of the Scotsman.  The brawl between the two teams started immediately.  The bell rang...

Cody held his own well enough against Angus, taking him to the outside and brawling there.  However, Grayson was having considerable trouble with the size and power of Hamish MacTavish.  Grayson managed to hit a few high flying moves to get things off to a good start for his team, but Hamish proved to be a bit too much.  A flying cross body press by Grayson was countered into a big powerslam.  Hamish was in control, and he kept it with a series of big slams and a few power bomb variations.  Hamish was kicking some major butt, and when he tagged out to Angus, the butt kicking continued.
Angus and Hamish showed exactly why they were able to dominate the tag team scene for months on end.  Grayson and Cody are both fine athletes, but they were fighting no less than two weeks ago.  Their teamwork wasn't going to be on the level of the Highlanders.  For what seemed like an eternity, Grayson had the ever-loving crap kicked out of him.  Angus planted him with a double underhook power bomb.  He then tagged out to Hamish, who lifted Grayson up.  Highland Hell was going to try and make quick work of this one with the Scottish Super Cutter!
Cody wasn't having any of that.  He charged the ring and dropkicked Hamish in the back of the knee.  The dropkick caused Hamish to buckle and Grayson to come down right on top of him.  Cody then slugged Angus in the gut, causing him to fall on the top ropes.  Grayson slowly made his way to the corner, and Cody's entry became legal!
Simmons, a house on fire, starting kicking at the right knee of Hamish, looking to put the Highlander down with only one working stump.  Cody did all he could to neutralize the limb, and he even managed to muscle Hamish down for an Achilles Tendon Lock!  Hamish seemed to be on the verge of submitting, but he made it to the ropes just in time.  Cody dropped an elbow on the knee before he broke off.  Hamish got up, and Cody went at him with a lariat.  Hamish picked him up and slammed him down with a spinebuster!
It was now Cody's turn to be beaten on by the Highlanders.  Occasionally, he'd brawl his way back to an advantage, but Cody wasn't able to get the advantage.  The Highlanders are at their best when they're facing smaller opponents, and they were clicking tonight.  Cody soon found himself coming off the top rope, a victim of the Scottish Slam!  Hamish went for the cover!
    1...
        2...
SAVE BY GRAYSON!!!  StB wasn't letting this one end just yet.
Angus charged in to the ring and attacked Grayson.  Hamish picked up Cody by the hair, but Cody hit him with a big haymaker below the belt!  The Highland Giant doubled over and Cody readied him for a DDT!  Angus quickly ran over and plastered Cody with a lariat.  Grayson flew right after Angus with a spinning leg lariat!  This was chaos!
The Cody and Angus started brawling in the corner.  The ref tried to separate the two.
Hamish levelled Grayson with a hard lariat and then went outside.  He grabbed a chair.
Cody broke away from Angus, but Angus still wanted in the fight.  The ref held him back.
Hamish came in the ring with the chair and lifted it to bash Grayson.  Grayson kicked Hamish in the stomach and Hamish dropped the chair.
Angus was still giving the referee troubles in the corner!  Just to incite him a bit more, Cody hurled an insult at the Highlander.
Grayson bounced off the ropes with a high cross body press.  Hamish caught him.
Cody took the chair and smashed it right in to the back of Hamish's leg!  Hamish dropped Grayson.  Cody punched him hard in the back of the head and then took him down with a legsweep.  He clapped his hands over his head as Grayson applied a figure four leglock!
Cody ran over to the ref, grabbed him and pointed out what was happening.  The ref turned to see Hamish in the figure four!  Angus tried to get in, but Cody waffled him with a big right and those two brawled outside!
The ref asked Hamish... he resisted... THEN GAVE UP!!!
    NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!

Simply the Best (Cody Simmons and Ron Grayson) defeated Highland Hell when Grayson made Hamish submit to a figure-four leglock in 0:12:05.
Rating: ****
(Simply the Best (Cody Simmons and Ron Grayson) won the SMWA World Tag Team Titles.)

Grayson and Cody grabbed the belts and held them high overhead as the Dartmouth crowd cheered them on!  New Tag Team Champions!  What an upset!  What a match!
Cody walked out of the ring with his Toughman Title, his Tag Team Title and his War Title.  The kid certainly is decorated.
Highland Hell has to strike back and strike back fast.  Otherwise, this could be a short feud.  Unfortunately, by the looks of Hamish in the ring, that could be difficult.  His knee was giving him considerable trouble.  A team of medics came to the ring to help him out.  Hamish couldn't support any weight on that knee.  A stretcher was brought out, and Hamish was taken to the back.
Highland Hell could be in big, big trouble.

Doomsday
vs
"Iron" Rod Emerson

No secrets here.  Rod Emerson has been struggling... badly.  His former Steelworks partner has gone on to win the TV Title, while Emerson is stuck in a massive rut.  He needs to start winning again, and soon.
Unfortunately, it won't be tonight.  Not against Doomsday.  Not likely, anyway.  Doomsday may be focused on helping the All-Americans against the Eastern Powers, and he has his own things to deal with as far as King Rasta goes.  Still, that won't be enough to distract him.  Doomsday doesn't think past the kill.  And he's looking to kill Emerson.

This one was a drawn out squash.  Emerson started off hot enough, nailing Doomsday with a vicious series of lariats which seemed to do nothing.  He went to pick Doomsday up for a bodyslam, but Doomsday blocked it and smacked Emerson with an elbow to the spine.  That was the beginning of the end.
Emerson had a few moments when he almost fought back.  In fact, he nearly snared Doomsday in his Waistlock Suplex.  But Doomsday was too strong.  A series of elbows staggered Emerson, and a big lariat turned him inside out.  Doomsday didn't want to waste any more time.  He was done.

Doomsday pinned Rod Emerson after a lariat in 0:06:17.
Rating: * 1/4

Well, that was less than stellar on Emerson's part.
The Other Big Green left the ring, and Rod Emerson was left wondering what he could do to turn this whole thing around.
Backstage, Nick Jones had a big interview.

Jones:  Fans, we haven't seen these two together on Slam Masters for a while, but they're here tonight.  The final team in our titanic three way main event, the founders of the Counterstrike, Jack Slade and Mike Haggar, along with Jessica Haggar.  Welcome, guys.

Haggar:  Jones.

Slade:  Hey Nick.

Jones:  Sorry, Jess, didn't mean to exclude you.  Okay... team, you've heard the comments of both the All-Americans and the Eastern Powers at this point.  They both claim to not have anything to do with Major Force.  What are your views?

Haggar:  Nick, I know Zangief well.  We don't get along, but I know him well enough to know that he's not going to be selling his soul to Major Force.  Yeah, because of the whatever Scorpion holds over the Commissioner, maybe Zangief has to worry a little bit more about his job, but if he says he's not a part of this, I believe him.

Slade:  And, I'll cover Hillsman here.  Frankly, Major Force are the biggest bunch of scumbuckets on the face of the planet, but I don't even think they could stand Hillsman any more than they had to.  Scorpion, it's pretty damn obvious that, whether you signed it or whether McCullough signed it, you're just doing what you always do.  You're running for your life because you know that, one on one, you go up against me or Mike, you're d-e-a-d Dead!

Jones:  All right, then.  I have to ask you all a question.  With all the water under the bridge on this team, with the fact that you guys have been at each other's throats since before the new year, how tight is this team?

Slade:  ...

Haggar:  ...

Jessica:  Let me field that one, Jones.  Maybe Mike and Jack aren't as close as they once were, and maybe they never will be.  But they are united in one thing, and that's bringing Major Force down.  That sound about right, guys?

Haggar:  Sound right to me, Jessie.  Jack?

Slade:  Yeah.  We're a long way from what we used to be, but we're still good enough to kick Major Force to infinity and beyond.  It's going to be one interesting Crunch Time.

Jones:  Thanks for your time gentlemen... and lady.  Mike Haggar and Jack Slade, together again with a purpose.  Major Force, watch out.  We'll be back with our Saturday Night Tradition... AFTER THIS!

SMWA Luck of the Draw Match

Usually the stinker or the show stopper, the Luck of the Draw Match brings together two random  SMWA wrestlers and lets us see matches we never thought we'd see... and a few we wish we hadn't seen.  Should be interesting to see what comes out of the hat tonight.
Marching music started up first.  All-American marching music!  Gunloc entered the arena, and what a bad break this had to be for him!  He's going to be wrestling in our main event next, but first he has to go up against a man who he may never have stepped in the ring with before.  Things don't look as good for the All-Americans.

******** Cue Scorpion's Music ********

WHOA!  Talk about things getting interesting!!!
Scorpion was here!  Here in the same building as Mike Haggar, Johnny Proton and Jack Slade!  Somehow, he's managed to lay low for the evening, but even he couldn't escape the Luck of the Draw Match!
Wait a second.  Of course he could.  He controls McCullough.  McCullough controls the luck of the draw.  If Scorp didn't want in, he didn't need to be in.  But he was!
Just like him.  Sign the match to get Haggar and Slade in the ring against two incredible teams, then show up himself to survey the damage.
Gunloc and Scorpion have met in the past, mainly during the legendary feud between the Doomsday Hunters and the rest of the SMWA.  Different times, though.  Back then, Gunloc was teaming with Biff Slamkovich.  And Scorpion... was just as evil as he is now.
    Maybe some things don't change.
Scorpion entered the ring and Gunloc backed off a few steps.  The bell rang...

These two matched up well physically, and they took the first few minutes of the match seeing just what the other had.  Really, these two are about even in all respects, though Scorpion is much smarter and has a better mat arsenal.  To that effect, Scorpion started to take control of the match early on with a series of leglocks, trying to take the wheels away from Gunloc.  He succeeded for a while, but Gunloc was a lot tougher than Scorpion thought.  He blocked one of the kicks to the leg, plastered Scorp with a right hand and took him down with a Tiger suplex for a quick two!  Scorpion got up but was taken down with a savate kick.
Gunloc maintained control for a few minutes, but Scorpion picked his spot and made it count.  Gunloc went for a powerslam, which Scorpion countered with a knee to the stomach and a DDT!  Before Gunloc could even react in pain, Scorp picked him back up and nailed him with a Russian legsweep.  Scorpion jumped to the top ropes and came down on Gunloc with a diving headbutt!  He went for the cover and got a two count.
Again, though, Gunloc was more than up for the challenge presented.  Scorpion tried for a vertical suplex, but Gunloc quickly countered with a snap suplex of his own.  He picked Scorpion up and whipped him into the ropes.  Scorp hit with a Yakuza kick and quickly went to the apron, hitting Gunloc with a slingshot legdrop to the back of the head!  Another cover produced a two count.
Scorpion dominated for the next few minutes until he went for a belly-to-belly suplex.  Gunloc broke the grab and locked Scorp in a belly-to-belly of his own!  Gunloc picked Scorpion up and put him on the top rope!  Release superplex!  Gunloc came off the top with a diving headbutt and went for the cover!  Two count!
Gunloc picked Scorpion up.  He signalled for the Gut Crush.  However, he underestimated how hurt Scorpion really was.  Scorp countered with a kick to the back of the knee and an inverted DDT!  Gunloc was down, and Scorp started taking him apart.
A Tiger Driver!  A doctor bomb!  A scorpion deathlock!  Scorpion was in his zone, and Gunloc was fading.  He managed to get in a few rights, but a charge against Scorp was countered by a tilt-a-whirl suplex!  Gunloc hit hard and Scorp was ready to make his move.  He waited for Gunloc to get up, ran at him, hit the handspring and wrapped his legs around Gunloc's head.  Twist and a Frankensteiner later, the Whiptail had been hit and Gunloc had lost.

SMWA Luck of the Draw Match
The Scorpion pinned Gunloc with the Whiptail in 0:12:51.
Rating: **** 1/4

Gunloc had just been put through the motions by Scorpion.  Now, in just a few minutes, he'll be forced to get in the ring once more as a part of our main event!
Scorpion was through with Gunloc, but he wasn't through in the ring.  He grabbed the mic.

Scorpion:  Counterstrike.  Maybe I'll wait until Monday.  Maybe I won't.  We'll just have to wait and see.

What is Scorpion talking about?  Is he planning something for our main event tonight?  If he isn't, then what is his diabolical mind planning?

The Eastern Powers
vs
The All-Americans

******** Cue Ring Announcer ********

RA:  Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is a triangle match with elimination rules...

******** Cue The All-American's Music ********

RA:  First... At a total combined weight of five hundred and fourty nine pounds....  THE ALL-AMERICANS!!!

Gunloc and Hillsman came out, with Gunloc still looking a bit worse for wear after his encounter with Scorpion.  The thought that Scorpion could have set this whole thing up was still in the back of everybody's head, but why have a match with Gunloc?
The crowd at Dartmouth wasn't enjoying the company of the All-Americans at all.  Hillsman's Ultra Nationalist views and Gunloc's name as a traitor don't help build up a big fan base.

******** Cue The Eastern Powers Music ********

RA:  Next...  Weighing in at a total combined weight of five hundred and seventy one pounds... THE EASTERN POWERS!!!

Zangief and Biff Slamkovich got a much better response than the All-Americans.  And they weren't going to wait to see what kind of a response Haggar and Slade got.  The Eastern Powers stormed the ring and started brawling with the All-Americans.

******** Cue Mike Haggar's Music ********

The Thompson Arena crowd exploded as Mike Haggar and Jack Slade streaked to the ring to join the fray.  They went right after the All-Americans, an attack that upset Zangief and Slamkovich just a bit.  The ring erupted into a three way brawl.  People paired off.  Zangief vs Haggar.  Biff vs Gunloc.  Those men spilled outside and we were left with Jack Slade planting big right hands into the jaw of Chad Hillsman.  Hillsman was whipped in to the ropes.  He came off with a lariat, which Slade ducked.  He kicked Hillsman in the stomach and nailed a Stunner for a near fall!  Haggar, who had made his way to the apron, was tagged in.
Slade and Haggar exhibited a bit of their old double team capability, nailing Hillsman with a double lariat before dropping a double elbow.  It was then Haggar's turn to put on the power.  Hillsman found himself pressed over Haggar's head with a Gorilla press, no mean feat considering Hillsman is two seventy.  Haggar dumped him and then hit a big leg drop for another two count.
Hillsman was whipped to the ropes and Gunloc tagged in on the fly.  Hillsman ducked a lariat, and Haggar then ducked one from Gunloc.  He took him down on the ropes with a hotshot and tagged in Biff Slamkovich!
The former Super Powers went right at it with each other, seemingly forgetting they were in a tag team match.  For the next few minutes, Biff and Gunloc went move for move, brawling inside, outside, everywhere they could.  Finally, Hillsman reminded Gunloc with a tap on the back and he tagged himself in.  Hillsman charged at Slamkovich with a lariat, but Biff ducked and took Hillsman down with a football tackle.  Zangief was then tagged in!
Hillsman immediately backed of in to a corner and went for a tag.  Unfortunately, it was the corner where no team was standing.  Zangief crushed Hillsman with an avalanche and went to work, brutalizing the All-American.  A big power bomb shook the mat, and Zangief went to follow up with a flying elbowdrop.  Gunloc interfered, pushing Zangief off the buckle, causing him to crash on the mat.  Hillsman smacked Zangief in the mouth with a running elbow smash and then made the tag to Gunloc.
The All-Americans took their time double teaming the Bear Crusher.  They didn't want Biff in, and they enjoyed beating on Zangief more than either Haggar or Slade.  The All-Americans unloaded their arsenal, eventually hitting the Glory Rocket!  Biff Slamkovich saved the day on that one.
Hillsman picked Zangief up for the Stars and Bars, but Zangief escaped down Hillsman's back and took him down with a German suplex!  Slowly, Zangief crawled to a corner.  Jack Slade was tagged in!  Hillsman tagged to Gunloc, and the fight was back on.
Slade dominated Gunloc with brawling tactics, mixing in a high risk move or two, nearly getting the pin with a flying dropkick.  Gunloc was desperate for a tag, and he managed to make one to BIFF SLAMKOVICH!!!
Biff got in the ring, picked Gunloc up and planted him with a Tombstone.  Unfortunately, it wasn't Gunloc he had to worry about.  Slade took Biff down with a Concussion Bomb and went to lock on the Cruncher Crab.  Breaking the hold was Zangief.  Slade tagged out to Haggar.  Biff tagged out to Zangief!  The crowd cheered as we were about to see Mike Haggar and Zangief in the ring together one more time!
Zangief and Haggar started slugging away.  Haggar got the edge with a lariat.  He bounced off the ropes, and Chad Hillsman chose to tag himself in!  Haggar, furious, nailed Hillsman with a spinning lariat!  Zangief then jumped on to Hillsman with a splash and went for the cover!  Gunloc broke the count at two!
The ring filled up with all three teams.  The Eastern Powers took out Haggar and Slade with a double DDT, but then they were ambushed by the All-Americans!  Biff and Gunloc started brawling on the outside, while Hillsman managed to take Zangief out with the Stars and Bars!  Hillsman got up and was turned around by Mike Haggar, who took him out with a vertical suplex!  Jack Slade tagged a downed Zangief's arm and nailed Hillsman with a Spiked DDT!

Gunloc and Biff Slamkovich were still brawling on the outside as Slade got up.  He grabbed Zangief by the hair, but Zangief nailed him in the midsection with a headbutt!  A big power bomb put Slade down and Zangief went for a clawhold.  Slade broke it with a thumb to the eye.  He whipped Zangief to the corner, but Zangief reversed.  He charged right in to a kick and a legsweep faceslam by Slade!  Slade went up top for a flying cross body press, but Zangief caught him and powerslammed him down to the mat!  Cover!  Two count!
Zangief whipped Slade in to the ropes.  On the fly, Slade tagged out to Haggar.  Slade came off the ropes and nailed Zangief with a dropkick.  Mike Haggar came in with a lariat as a follow up!  He picked Zangief off the mat, hooked him up and took him for the ride!!!  SCREWDRIVER!!!

******** Cue Scorpion's Music ********

As soon as the bell rang, Scorpion was up on SlamVision.

Scorpion:  Glad you two could pull this thing together.  It makes it much more interesting.  I'm wondering, though.  You two are in the ring... Where's Johnny?

Haggar and Slade gave a quick glance to each other as Scorpion began to laugh maniacally!  The streaked to the back.  What was Scorpion talking about?
Haggar and Slade came upon Johnny Proton... Perfectly fine.

Slade:  Well, he duped us.

Proton:  Everything okay, guys?

Haggar:  That son of a...
