Welcome to Saturday Night Slam Masters!
We're in Buckeye Country this weekend and are
just one week away from Slam Masters: Secrets. Who is the Sixth
Member of Major Force? We're going to have to wait to find that out,
but our matches tonight are no secret.
The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine takes on the
highflying Air Raiders in tag team action.
Young Martin Riley will have his work cut out
for him as he locks horns with the Pale Rider himself, Ghost.
"Fly Guy" Wally B is looking to get pasted by
the dominant Lord of Shadows, Teioh.
Johnny Proton takes on Rokuru, as their Cruiserweight
feud continues.
The Kodiak Express rolls along as Kodiak Marmoset
defends his SMWA TV Title against the always game Lovechild.
Biff Slamkovich continues to gear up for his
handicap match at Secrets as he faces off against "Big Oz" Grant Redstone.
Ron Grayson is going to try his luck against
Rod Emerson... in a Toughman match!
The Saturday Night Tradition returns to normal
this week with another Luck of the Draw Match.
And, in our main event, ten superstars will face
off in a battle royal. The prize for winning? A shot at Jack
Slade and the World Title on Monday Night Massacre! It should be
a good one.
Nick Jones is in the back to do interviews, Johnny
Lee and Tony B are on the mics at ringside, and we are ready for our first
match!
The Philidelphia
X-Treme Machine
vs
The Air
Raiders
In the battle to dethrone Major Force, matches like this are crucial. The Air Raiders are looking to regain some of their old momentum after being squashed by Highland Hell last week. The PXM are looking to win with some consistency. This one should be good.
Ultimate Spider and Crash Burnz started things
off with Spider gaining the upper hand when he ducked a Burnz clothesline
and nailed him in the back of the head with a discus punch! Burnz
was staggered early and Spider went for the kill.
Spider nailed Burnz with a dropkick to the knee
and Burnz fell to the mat. The speedy Spider then leapt onto the
top-turnbuckle and attempted to jump onto Burnz with a flying headscissors
as he came to his feet. Big mistake! Burnz countered with a
Hotshot and quickly made a cover. He would have scored the 3 if it
wasn't for El Stingray rushing the ring and breaking the pin!
Burnz realizing that the PXM had this match all
but won in the early going took the initiative to end it. He tossed
Stingray out of the ring and tagged out to Slash Battle. Burnz then
followed Stingray outside and began taking him apart physically while Battle
picked up Spider for his new finisher, The Extreminator only to have it
countered it with a facerake from Spider! Battle staggered back and
Spider saw a window of opportunity he attempted to bring Battle down with
a Jumping DDT... only to have it countered with a backdrop! A frustrated
Battle grabbed Spider and got him in position for a piledriver but Spider
countered with a backdrop of his own! Spider then perched himself
on the top-turnbuckle and when Battle reached his feet and turned around
he found Spider propelling into him with a missile dropkick!
Burnz, who had been working over Stingray this
entire time, turned towards the ring only to see his partner being pinned!
The Air Raiders defeated The Philadelphia X-Treme
Machine when Spider pinned Slash after a missile dropkick in 0:03:37.

El
Stingray suffered a back injury. He will be out for approximately 2 cards.
Wow! That was fast! Battle was rocked
by that dropkick and was having severe trouble getting back to his feet.
Stingray had to be helped to the back by Spider
after the match; the beating he took outside the ring apparently afflicted
a toll on his back. Once Spider helped Stingray away we went backstage
where Nick Jones was with everyone’s favorite cruiserweight, Rokuru.
Jones: What a match to kick off our show! To get things rolling I've got Rokuru here. Rokuru will be facing Johnny Proton! So, Rokuru, do you think you can defeat Johnny Proton tonight and possibly get yourself back in the hunt for the Cruiserweight Title?
Rokuru: I don’t know. Ask Teddy what he thinks.
Jones: Well then, um... Teddy could you please give us your thoughts on Rokuru's chance of winning?
Teddy: ...
Jones: What did he say?
Rokuru: What! Weren't you paying attention! You hurt Teddy's feelings! Now he's not gonna answer you!
Jones: Oh, um... well sorry Rokuru.
Rokuru: Don’t apologize to me! Apologize to Teddy!
Jones: I'm, I'm sorry Teddy.
Rokuru: Good. What's that, Teddy? Teddy forgives you. Maybe you can be more thoughtful in the future.
Rokuru and Teddy then made their way to the ring; Rokuru was in action NEXT!
"The Teddy
Bear of Destruction" Rokuru
vs
Johnny Proton
The Cruiserweight Title has been bouncing around like a hot potato as of late, and the three men involved have been Johnny Proton, Rokuru and current Cruiserweight Champ, Lantern. The winner of this match would probably get the next shot at Lantern... even though the loser could probably get one, too.
Rokuru jumped Proton as he entered the ring and
nailed him with a kick below the belt. He then attempted a fisherman
suplex but the ever alert Proton managed to counter that into a small package
for an early near fall! Rokuru, after kicking out, continued to blitz
Proton. He ran right into a hiptoss by Proton, but before Proton
could do anything, Rokuru slid out of the ring and dragged him Proton outside!
Rokuru nailed Proton with a few stomps and then tried to whip him into
the ringpost... Proton reversed! A stunned Rokuru turned around right
into a Proton Kick! Proton rolled Rokuru into the ring and made a
cover...
Rokuru got a foot in the ropes just in time!
Proton was in shock, but he kept up the assault.
He climbed to the top turnbuckle and attempted to flatten Rokuru with a
perfectly excecuted frog splash. Unfortuantley for Johnny, Rokuru
got his knees up and Johnny's wind was knocked out of him! A groggy
Rokuru managed to pull himself to his feet; he then pulled Proton up and
nailed a Yakuza Kick. A cover got him a two count.
Rokuru wasn't going to let this match slip away.
He kept the pressure on Johnny, nailing him with a spinebuster slam and
a diving elbowsmash before nearly knocking Proton senseless with a brain
buster! Rokuru then signaled for the end!
Rokuru picked up Proton and attempted the Roku
Driver. Proton managed to block the move and he responded by planting
Rokuru in the middle of the ring with a belly-to-belly suplex! Proton
then climbed to the top-turnbuckle and nailed a flying elbowdrop!
Proton finally put Rokuru out for good by nailing him with a Proton Kick
to the back of the head! After that, the three count was an afterthought.
Johnny Proton pinned Rokuru with the Proton
kick in 0:14:23.

Big win for Proton who maintains his momentum
as we head towards Secrets!
We toook a commercial and returned for a match...
well, it was going to be over pretty fast. If it wasn't, we'd know
higher forces would be at work.
Teioh w/
Zists
vs
"Fly Guy"
Wally B
Teioh and the Baki Mono are getting ready for
Secrets, where Zuzanow takes on Oni in this ongoing war. Wally B
has formed an interesting team with a surfer from California. One
man is a samurai warrior. The other is a homeboy from Omaha, Nebraska...
Who do you think is going to win?
Teioh started off fast, backflipping over Wally B and nailing with an enzuigiri on the way down! Wally went down like a sack of potatoes. Teioh could have ended the match there, but he decided to toy around with the "Fly Guy" a little bit longer. Teioh whipped Wally into a corner and smashed into him with a cartwheel kick. When Wally staggered out of the corner, Teioh hit another enzuigiri. He followed up with a springboard somersault splash before pulling Wally to his feet and planting him with a Doctor Bomb for the pinfall!
Teioh pinned Wally B after the Doctor Bomb
in 0:03:40.

Well that was... expected.
Another commercial, another match to come.
"Bone Cracker"
Martin Riley
vs
Ghost w/
Saul Masters
Riley, still early in his career, has shown some signs of improvement over the past few weeks. Had he improved enough to take on Ghost? Doubtful. But he would try.
It didn't take Ghost very long to establish who
was in control in this match. After blocking an attempted belly-to-back
suplex by Riley, Ghost dropped him on his head with a double underhook
power bomb. He then delivered a second one. Riley was in major trouble.
Riley would get his break though; he caught Ghost
on an attempted Jumping DDT and countered with an inverted atomic drop!
He proceeded to take Ghost to the canvas with a dragon suplex for a two
count. Riley kept pouring the pressure on the former SMWA World Champ,
locking in a half Boston crab in the middle of the ring! Ghost struggled
his way to the ropes after 14 seconds in the hold only to get locked in
an octopus hold as a reward for his efforts! Riley then whipped Ghost
into the ropes and plowed into him with a football tackle.
However, Riley made a mistake. He once
again whipped Ghost towards the ropes and went for a football tackle.
Ghost while running towards the ropes backflipped off with an Asai Moonsault.
Riley turned around right into a kick to the stomach. Ghost followed
that up with The Final Breath, but instead of taking the three count Ghost
let Riley go, pulled him to his feet and planted him on his face with a
DDT! Ghost then nailed a Doctor Bomb and that was all she wrote....
Ghost pinned Martin Riley after the Doctor
Bomb in 0:05:07.

Great effort by the young Riley but he fell just
a bit short against a superior wrestler.
Scheduled up next on the card was Kodiak Marmoset
defending the TV Title against Lovechild. First Nick Jones was backstage,
ready to have some words with the champ!
Nick Jones: Fans, I'm back here with the reigning SMWA TV Champion, Kodiak Marmoset. Kodiak, one has to wonder are you looking past Lovechild tonight due to the fact that you will once again be facing Mike Haggar on Monday?
Kodiak: Who did you say it was I was facing tonight? Anyhow The Kodiak has one thing on his mind and that’s Mike Haggar on Monday (Kodiak stops to take a swig of bottled water), I guess he just cant stand the fact that he lost to a "loser" as the morons in the crowd like to call me.
Nick Jones: Well honestly, Kodiak, your win was by count out and only after all of Major Force interfered. I mean it looked like Haggar had you beat pretty decisively when the rest of Major Force began advancing towards Jessica Haggar. Haggar had to get counted out to save her.
Kodiak: Listen Jones, a win is a win no matter how you get it, now out of my way I don’t have time for your petty arguments I have a title defense coming up against Cupid!
Kodiak then stormed to the ring... the TV Title was on the line NEXT!!!
SMWA Television
Title Match
Kodiak Marmoset
(C) w/ Saul Masters
vs
Lovechild
Lovechild's been on a pretty good roll as of late... but not as good of a roll as the Kodiak Express. These two know each other very well, Kodiak having defeated Lovechild in the finals of the Cruiserweight Title Tournament last summer. Tonight, the stakes were higher.
Kodiak upon entering the ring jumped Lovechild
and smacked him with a double-axhandle to the back! He then dropped
Lovechild on his face with a DDT and applied a clawhold! Lovechild struggled
to the ropes after 14 seconds, only to have Kodiak reward his perseverance
by whipping him into a corner and connecting with a Stinger Splash that
made Lovechild slouch over against the turnbuckles! Kodiak proceeded
to grab Lovechild and attempt another DDT. Lovechild countered with
a low blow that rocked Kodiak! Lovechild then, in a effort to keep
control, attempted a backspin DDT. Kodiak picked him out of the middle
of the spin and belly-to-belly suplexed him to the ground!
Kodiak then waited for Lovechild to come to his
feet. As he did, Kodiak tried to paste him with the Big V but Lovechild
ducked, clipped Kodiak's legs up and drove him into the canvas with a spinebuster
slam! Lovechild then scooped Kodiak up and attempted a running powerslam.
Kodiak slid down his back and caught him with
a cradle suplex before applying a ziplock in the middle of the ring! Lovechild
was stuck in the hold for 15 seconds but managed to reach the ropes.
Kodiak, with Lovechild on the mat, attempted to pull him up for a German
suplex. Lovechild countered with a back kick that felled Kodiak!
He then scooped up Kodiak and once again attempted a running powerslam.
Kodiak once again slid down his back. He
waited for Lovechild to turn around, and when he did, Kodiak knocked him
into next week with The Big V!
Kodiak Marmoset pinned Lovechild with the Big
V in 0:17:51.

(Kodiak Marmoset retained the SMWA Television
Title.)
Saul Masters didn't even need to intervene in
that one, "The Kodiak Express" continues to roll along.
We then took a brief commercial break, once we
came back it was time for a slobberknocker! Hey, who let Jim Ross
into the building?
Biff Slamkovich
vs
"Big Oz"
Grant Redstone
Next Saturday, Biff is going to be in the ring
against two men. It's going to Biff against the All-Americans, and
if Biff wins, the war ends. No more battles between the Super Powers.
It's a high stakes battle, to be sure.
Redstone has been looking sharp as of late, but
he still hasn't been able to regain his dominant winning ways. Could
he do so tonight against Biff?
Well right from the start everyone knew that this
wasn't going to be a technical wrestling match. Biff and Grant stood
exchanging punches in the middle of the ring for the first 30 seconds of
the match, an exchange which Redstone won decisively, he staggered Biff
with a big fist to the jaw before taking him to the mat with a slingshot
suplex for a one count. The tide turned however when Redstone attempted
a gutwrench suplex that Biff countered with a perfectly timed backdrop.
Biff proceeded to quickly scale the turnbuckles and nail Redstone with
a diving shoulderblock for an early near fall! Biff then drove Redstone
into the mat with a Russian Legsweep before attempting his patented Hammer
Splash.
Redstone countered it with a kneelift and Biff
went crashing to the mat clutching his solar plexus area! The big Aussie
was up first and he hooked up Biff and took him for the ride with a Redstone
Suplex but SOMEHOW Biff managed to get a limb in the ropes before the full
3 count could be registered!
Redstone pulled Biff up for another one but Biff
blocked the maneuver and laid out Redstone with a textbook backbreaker
before dumping him on his head with a backdrop driver for a near fall!
Finally Biff attempted the Hammer splash again..... and connected! After
that he hung on for dear life and scored the 3!
Biff Slamkovich pinned Grant Redstone with
the Hammer splash in 0:17:15.
Rating: ****
A hard fought win for Biff. He's going to
need to perform much better than that, though, if he wants to have a prayer
against the All-Americans at Secrets.
We took a commercial and, when we came back,
Nick Jones was in the back with Ron Grayson.
Jones: Fans, I'm here with "Daredevil" Ron Grayson. Ron, in one week, you're going to be taking on Steelworks with Cody Simmons at your side. However, tonight, you've got a more daunting task. You're going to have to go blow for blow in a Toughman match with "Iron" Rod Emerson, one of the best brawlers out there, a man who has eighty pounds on you and is much more powerful. How would you approach a match like this?
Grayson: Well, with a more positive attitude than you, Jones. Sheesh, why don't you just knock me out right now if I don't have a chance, eh? Listen, I think you're forgetting that my tag team parter is Simply the Best boxer out there, the Streetfighting Stud himself, Cody Simmons. He's taught me to float like a butterfly and sting like StBees, if you know what I mean! I'm going to go out there, take my big right hand and smack it right into Rod Emerson's ugly old face. I'm predicting a third round victory!
Jones: Why do you say that?
Grayson: Because Monica said so!
With that, Daredevil made his way to the ring. This was going to be interesting.
Toughman
Contest
"Daredevil"
Ron Grayson w/ Monica
vs
"Iron" Rod
Emerson
They'll meet in tag team action next Saturday.
Tonight, they'd be brawling it out!
Grayson didn't bother with his intro.. he had
a mouthguard in his mouth, for heavens sakes!!!
Round 1:
Grayson knew that if he tried to match power
here he would get clobbered so he started things off good bringing Emerson
to the mat twice with take downs. Then he started to try and trade
punches with him for no apparent reason. After about two punches,
Ron was thumped to the mat by an "Iron" uppercut from Emerson. He
got up quickly. Emerson continued to pummel him with big shots to
the head and almost had another knockdown. Luckily the first round
ended just in time to save Grayson.
Round 2:
Grayson staggered out of his corner to start round 2. He was
caught off guard when Emerson took him to the canvas not with a punch but
with a single-leg takedown! Grayson got up and nailed Rod with a cheap
shot to the nose. Rod responded by beating him into a corner with
a series of 1-2 style combos before scoring a knockdown with another uppercut!
Grayson was slow to his feet but he got up nonetheless. He slogged
through the rest of the round ‘til the bell rang. I don’t think his
game plan was working out that well.
Round 3:
Grayson walked into a jab to start off round 3 and down he went!
He got up and much like the previous rounds played "punching bag" for Mr.
Emerson until the bell rang!
Round 4:
This round Grayson was ready he tried to utilize a stick and move
strategy and actual managed take Emerson off his feet once. However
he still lost the round when Emerson nearly knocked him out of boxing garb
with another one of those uppercuts. Grayson managed to pull himself
off the mat and prepare for the last round.
Round 5:
Grayson walked right into a Emerson jab to start off the round,
he then decided that enough was enough and he just jawed with the ref and
stalled ‘til time ran out. The slaughter was over!
SMWA Toughman Bout:
Rod Emerson defeated Ron Grayson on points.
Rod Emerson suffered a neck injury. He will
be out for approximately 3 cards.
Ron Grayson suffered an elbow injury. He will
be out for approximately 2 cards.
Points
Rod Emerson 15

Ron Grayson 10

Both men had minor injures sustained after the
match, but that's pretty common in these Toughman Contests. Hopefully,
neither injury will affect the match scheduled for next Saturday at Secrets.
With that slaughter over it was time for our
Saturday Night Tradition!
The SMWA Luck of the Draw Match!
Again? Kenji Hashimuto
seems
to be a veteran of these sorts of matches, let me tell you! He's
had his name drawn more than anybody else that can be remembered.
Tonight, he'd do it again.
We heard the familiar rock and roll music of
Biff
Slamkovich next. Such is the nature of this beast. Biff
had wrestled once tonight, and now he'd have to do it again!
Well certainly not the biggest luck of the draw
match ever, and sure as hell not the best! Biff was tired from having already
fought earlier and was looking to end this thing early. He grabbed
Hashimuto and took him for a ride with a belly-to-back suplex which he
followed up with a Russian Legsweep for a VERY EARLY near fall!
Things wouldn't improve any for Hashimuto as
he was wrapped up in a frankensteiner that once again nearly ended the
match. Finally Kenji managed to duck a lariat by Biff and he nailed
him with a series of kicks to the midsection that made Biff gasp for air!
Hashimuto then planted him with a DDT and went to the top-turnbuckle looking
for the upset win he came off with the Hashi-Moonsault. Biff had
the presence of mind to pull his knees up and Hashimuto knocked the wind
out of himself!
Biff had enough left in him to drape an arm over
Hashi for the pinfall!
SMWA Luck of the Draw Match
Biff Slamkovich pinned Kenji Hashimuto after
a knee pull-up in 0:04:43.

We then had a commercial break, after that it was time for our.......

Winner gets
a world title match on Massacre
"Jackhammer"
Andrew Marshall, "Tricky"
Rick Clark, Doomsday,
Skarzz,
Lantern, "The All-American"
Chad Hillsman, "Titan"
Tim Redbury,
The Flying
Scotsman, West Bronco,
"The Rebel"
Jerry Kent
One of these ten men will go on to Monday Night Massacre to face off against Jack Slade for the World Title. Whoever wins the match will be more than deserving, and we should see a great main event on Monday.
It didn't take long for the action to pick up
in this match. Doomsday and Skarzz immediately locked horns each
once again looking to test the others mettle and rekindle their old feud!
Doomsday almost managed to force the early elimination on Skarzz when he
staggered him with a jumping lariat that made Skarzz stumble, but Skarzz
managed to recover and slam Doomsday!
While they were busy brawling Rick Clark was
being whipped into the ropes by Titan Tim. He tried to nail the big
man with a flying clothesline on the return trip but the big man side stepped
him.
Clark did however nail Lantern! Clark pulled
up the stunned Cruiserweight Champion and quickly deposed of him.
x Clark threw out Lantern after a flying clothesline in 0:01:10
With only nine men left in the ring, Simply the
Best conspired to have the winner come from their stable. Clark and
Kent began double teaming Andrew Marshall but couldn't quite eliminate
him as he had the middle rope hooked with his arms.
In the meantime Chad Hillsman powerslammed West
Bronco and tossed the cowboy out of the ring!
x Hillsman threw out Bronco after a powerslam in 0:01:57
StB eventually gave up on Marshall and focused
there attack on Tim Redbury! Clark and Kent took out Titans legs and Chad
Hillsman even joined in, everyone was taking the big Brit apart!
Up until Doomsday tore Hillsman away and whipped him into the Flying Scotsman!
Doomsday then began to crush both of them!
Skarzz then began to help out Hillsman and Scotsman
and a formidable triple team on Doomsday began! Titan Tim had a burst
of energy and managed to pull himself to his feet while StB was attacking,
he hooked up Kent and flattened him with a Claw Slam! He then grabbed Rick
Clark and with one hand tossed his old rival out of the ring!
x Redbury threw out Clark in 0:05:47
Redbury then left Kent for dead and began to focus
his attack on Skarzz! That was a mistake, as Skarzz was more than a match
for Titan in terms of power and Titan soon found himself on the receiving
end of an offensive that would cripple most men. He survived a choke
slam and a launch slam. Skarzz tried to dump him but Titan fell on
top of the big man!
In the meantime The Flying Scotsman had just
felt the power of Armageddon from Doomsday. After that Scotsman found
a ringside seat courtesy of a Doomsday Gorilla Press!
x Doomsday threw out Scotsman after a Gorilla Press in 0:11:55
Meanwhile Skarzz had finally regained the upper hand on Tim Redbury when Kent jumped the big Brit from behind. Skarzz wanted Titan to himself and so he smashed Kent with a powerslam and tossed him out of the ring like he was a cruiserweight!
x Skarzz threw out Kent after a powerslam in 0:14:48
Down to 5. Marshall, Titan, Hillsman, Doomsday and Skarzz. Doomsday was the next to go as the powerful quadruple team was more than enough to nullify his offensive ability. He was Waistlock Suplexed by Andrew Marshall before being tossed over the top-rope for the elimination!
x Marshall threw out Doomsday after a waistlock suplex in 0:16:21
The alliances that had briefly formed quickly ended, as Chad Hillsman turned on Titan Tim and nailed him in the back with a double-axhandle. Hillsman began stomping away on Redbury, who was slouched over in a corner! In the meantime Andrew Marshall had just been nearly decapitated by a Skarzz lariat! Titan managed to fight his way to his feet, but he was clearly out of gas. Hillsman nailed him with a Steinerline before tossing him out!
x Hillsman threw out Redbury after a Steinerline in 0:20:53
Skarzz had taken Andrew Marshall apart and was
getting ready to Gorilla Press him to the outside when Hillsman jumped
him! Skarzz simply dropped the broken Marshall in the middle of the
ring and nearly crushed Hillsman with the Skarring! But before he
could toss Hillsman out an Andrew Marshall low blow rocked him. Hillsman
and Marshall then tried to double team him. They whipped him into
the ropes and attempted a double backdrop. Skarzz grabbed their heads
and slammed them together!
Skarzz grabbed Hillsman and tossed him out.
Andrew Marshall was all alone!
x Skarzz threw out Hillsman in 0:24:23
Skarzz grabbed Marshall and took him for the ride
with The Skarring! But instead of tossing him out he at the instruction
of Saul Masters, Skarzz executed another Skarring!
He then pulled Marshall to his feet and Masters
gave Skarzz an approving nod. Skarzz tried to take Marshall’s head
off with a lariat, but Marshall’s knees buckled out from under him from
the mass beating he had suffered. He fell under the lariat as Skarzz
thrust himself forward. He tripped over Marshall, and couldn't stop
his own momentum which carried him over the top-rope!
x Marshall threw out Skarzz in 0:26:02
