December 5th, 1998

The program starts with clips of Ghost's stunning victory over Mike Haggar.  We see the vicious chair shot by Grater, the Final Breath applied to Haggar, and then the beating after the match.  But we didn't see what happened when we went off the air.

Haggar tried desperately to fight back, but the numbers were far too great.  One man cannot beat back Major Force.  But nobody was coming down to the ring to save him.  Haggar was on his own.

Suddenly, a large explosion was heard in the arena.  The ring entrance filled up with smoke.  We could see a figure start to emerge...
    DOOMSDAY!!!
Doomsday was running down to the ring!  His old enemy, Mike Haggar, was down on the mat, being beaten up by his new enemies, Major Force.  What was he doing?
The Green Monster stormed the ring and, within seconds, started attacking Major Force.  An angry Doomsday fought off all three members of the Force.  Mike Haggar, given seconds to regain his composure, got to his feet and helped beat Major Force off.  Ghost had just won the World Title, but he soon found himself and his stablemates outside of the ring.  Haggar and Doomsday owned the ring.
Haggar looked over and saw Doomsday, ready for a fight.  Doomsday just stood there.  He wasn't going to attack Haggar.  For some unknown reason, Doomsday would not attack Haggar.  He was showing...restraint.
Major Force tried to get back into the ring, but Haggar and Doomsday stopped them.
    Haggar and Doomsday.  Together.  Amazing!

Folks, we have a great Saturday Night Slam Masters for you tonight.  Ghost had just beat Mike Haggar for the World Heavyweight Title, and Doomsday saved Mike Haggar from a beating.  One week before Slam Masters: Final Breath, things promised to get a little bit crazy.
We will see the Air Raiders face off against the Philadelphia X-Treme Machine.
West Bronco defends his Television Title against one half of Fuerza Dragon, Dragon de Hielo.
Ron Grayson has another challenge, this one for the Highland Hit Squad.
Cruiserweight Champ Johnny Proton tries to avenge his loss to Nitro in a rematch.
The former North American Champion "Titan" Tim Redbury faces off against the man who came up short in his World Title bid at Thunder, "Tricky" Rick Clark.
And Major Force has been seen in the building tonight, as has Extinct.  The situation developing on Monday could get a bit more tense.

As a matter of fact, we started off with Ghost and Major Force coming down to the ring.  Ghost had the World Title slung over his shoulder and still didn't look like a happy man.  He walked past the ring announcer, demanded the microphone, and entered the ring.  He gave a quick look over his sunglasses to the audience and then began to speak.

    GHOST:  The Hero is Dead!

Boos radiated through the audience.  Ghost, once again, seemed not to care.

GHOST:  Frankly, you can all boo me as much as you like, because your acceptance means nothing to me.  On Monday, I defeated your hero and took his most prized possession.  This piece of metal on my shoulder.  The World Title.  And I would have destroyed him if it weren't for one man.  Doomsday.

The crowd began to cheer at the mention of Doomsday's name.  Astounding.  Doomsday receiving cheers.  Saul Masters took the mic.

MASTERS:  Extinct, I don't know what your man was doing, but it would be very ignorant of me to think that you had nothing to do with it.  You can save yourself a lot of trouble by coming out here right now and explaining yourself.  Or, you can wait for us to hunt you down.  Either way, we want answers.

The arena waited for some kind of response.  Major Force stood in the ring, waiting for Extinct to show himself.  And he did.  The leader of what was the Doomsday Hunters came down to the ring.  What would he offer as his explanation?

MASTERS:  Was Thursday not enough for you, Extinct?  You planned, you schemed, you almost succeeded, but we still annihilated your Doomsday Hunters.  Was Monday Night your idea of revenge, hm?  Your jealously runs that deep?

Extinct smirked and took the mic.  He wasn't going to put up with this.

EXTINCT:  If you'd shut up and let me talk, maybe you'd get an answer.  Saul, I'll give you this.  Thursday, you beat me.  It was a matter of talent.  I had Doomsday, you had three wrestlers who were better than the PXM.  I had him lure Skarzz away.  That was my mistake.  I don't make many of those.  Thursday, you got very, very lucky.
Now, as far as Monday Night goes, I had nothing to do with that.  I don't know why, but Doomsday did that on his own.

Grater, sitting in the background for the whole interview, burst forward.

GRATER:  Stop your DAMN lies right now, 'Stinckt.  Maybe yer forgettin', but I used to be a part of your stupid Doomsday Hunters.  I know the way you operate.  You don't let people think by themselves.  Hell, that's what I did, and you had that stupid green giant nearly rip my damn head off.

EXTINCT:  I had Doomsday hurt you because you were an asshole and never were a team player.  The sooner that Masters sees that, the better off he's going to be.  Sorry that you still have a bug up your ass about the whole thing, but that's not my business anymore, Al.  What I'm telling you is the truth.  I didn't want Doomsday to save Haggar.  He did it on his own.

MASTERS:  And where is Doomsday now?

EXTINCT:  He's in the back, waiting, like I told him to.  He has nothing to say to you idiots and I am not going to waste his time.

Suddenly, that trademark explosion was heard.  The entrance filled up with smoke and, from behind the cloud, out came Doomsday!  The Green Monster was obviously tired of waiting around backstage.  He made his way to the ring, Extinct looking visibly upset.  Ghost took the mic back and started talking.

GHOST:  Well, the "Green Monster".  I'd ask you to explain yourself for what you did on Monday, but I doubt you're capable.  I will say this; you stuck your nose in where it didn't belong, and since Extinct doesn't seem to want to take responsibilities for your actions, I'm holding you accountable....tonight.  You and me, Monster.  World Title on the line.  Do you accept?

Extinct grabbed the microphone for his charge.  Doomsday was already starting to advance on Major Force.  Extinct held him back.

EXTINCT:  Well, if you're going to put the World Title up, we'd have to be foolish...Doomsday...hold on, I'm talking for you...hold on....

DOOMSDAY:  DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

DOOMSDAY SPOKE!!! DOOMSDAY SPOKE!!!  He had Extinct by the collar, and Extinct still had the microphone in one hand.  He was holding it to Doomsday's face.

    DOOMSDAY:  I accept!!!

Doomsday released Extinct and left the ring.  Extinct looked shocked.  Grater's mouth was wide open, and Masters didn't know what to make of it.  Even the usually emotionless Ghost had a surprised look on his face.  Extinct started talking again.

EXTINCT:  We'll, ah, we'll see you tonight, then...

With that, Extinct left the ring.

That was the first time we had ever heard Doomsday speak.  It wasn't profound, but it was different.  Maybe, with the Doomsday Hunters dissolved, Doomsday himself is going to take a more active role in his relationship with Extinct.

We went to commercial with a stunned Major Force in the ring and returned in time for our opening bout.

King Rasta vs BC-2000

Though Rasta is in a bit of a lull, having thrown his match with Shadow Maxx at Thunder and dropping a close one to Jerry Kent on Monday Night Massacre, it's BC-2000 who has everything to be gained.  BC has proven to be a very exciting luchador, but not one that can win consistently against the competition in the SMWA.  A win against Rasta would be huge, but it just might be out of his reach, too.

Rasta was ready for the high-flying offence of the Viajero.  Rasta managed to dodge his moves and drove BC out of  the ring with a thunderous shoulder block.  BC-2000 was getting tossed all over the ring.  Rasta was too strong.
Finally, BC managed to get in a few moves, including a textbook spinning headscissors  takedown.  Still, it didn't seem that any of the moves were having an effect.  Rasta again took control when a flying cross body press by BC was caught by Rasta's big arms.  The Viajero wasn't having any luck at all.  BC went flying outside and Rasta hit his modified Dread Lock Drop from the ring apron.  He was well on his way to winning this bout.
A wave of boos went through the crowd as a familiar figure was seen.  Grant Redstone was once more making his way down to the ring to attack Rasta during a match.  Obviously his loss at Thunder hasn't quelled his hatred.
But, as before, Redstone was stopped by Rasta's "protector".  Shadow Maxx came out of the crowd and jumped Big Oz, sending him scurrying back to the dressing room.  Rasta and Maxx seem to have some sort of alliance, whatever that might be.
In the ring, Rasta was putting BC-2000 out of his misery.  A big inverted power bomb took the starch out of him and another Dread Lock Drop put the luchador out for the count.

King Rasta pinned BC-2000 with the Dread Lock Drop in 0:10:43.
Rating: *** 1/4

Rasta looked to the aisle.  He saw Shadow Maxx looking back at him.  The two exchanged glances.  Maxx then disappeared into the crowd.
What's Rasta to think?  He genuinely hates Shadow Maxx for what he did to Bobby, but Maxx tries to make amends at every turn.
Whatever score this is, it will be settled at Final Breath in one week.

We went to commercial and, when we returned, Nick Jones was backstage for an interview with "Titan" Tim Redbury.

JONES:  Welcome back to another edition of Saturday Night Slam Masters.  We are only a week away from the big Slam Masters Event, Final Breath, and a little over a week removed from Thanksgiving Thunder.  That night had a big impact on my guest here, "Titan" Tim Redbury.  Titan, the Raiders succeeded in defeating Sky Entertainment Ltd, but at a very high cost to yourself.  Not only did Ron Grayson take your North American Title, but the Rolling Thunder Match took it's toll on you.  Before we start, I have to ask, what is the status of your injuries?

TITAN:  Well, Jones, they're mostly superficial in nature.  That's fortunate.  Normally, when you're covered in pretzels and glass, your injuries are much more severe.

JONES:  Good to hear.  Titan, this Thursday, you finally beat Sky Entertainment Ltd. and they broke up.  However, you lost your North American belt and, that night, had a meeting to disband the Raiders in the back.  What's your take on the whole thing?

TITAN:  Well, I'll give Grayson credit.  He cheated beautifully, but I dropped my guard for one second.  I lost the North American Title, but I've proven time and time again that I don't remain beltless for long in the SMWA.  The Rolling Thunder Match proved the kind of a coward that Ron Grayson is, and we'll leave it at that.
As far as the disbanding goes, the Raiders had run their course.  It's tough being tied to a group of eight wrestlers, and I'm sure it was tough for the other Raiders members, too.  Our goal was to break-up Sky Entertainment, and we did.  There are no hard feelings, we're all still friends.  I'm still teaming with Steelworks and we're going to make a name for those War Titles in the SMWA.  But that doesn't mean that this Titan is done in the singles.

JONES:  Getting to that, you have a huge matchup tonight against the leader of Simply the Best, "Tricky" Rick Clark.  Clark's had your number historically...

TITAN:  Yes, well, history is for textbooks.  Clark is a great wrestler and there's no shame in losing to him.  But that most certainly does not mean that I won't do my best to beat him tonight.  It should be a great match.

JONES:  Titan, thanks for your time.  Titan Tim on the Raiders and Rick Clark.  Back to you, John.

Biff Slamkovich vs Enrico Ferdinand

Ferdinand is a wannabee bullfighter, but a talented one.  However, he's not on the level of Biff Slamkovich.  Biff is a tag team wrestler by trade, but he's been dabbling in singles matches recently, getting a notable win over Terry Sky a few weeks ago.  Like our previous match, this was a big opportunity for the underdog, but not a likely win.

The Spanish Flash came out with some early offence, hitting Biff with a DDT and following up with a few impressive high flying moves.  However, the offence didn't last long.  Biff floored Enrico with a beautiful Soviet suplex and followed up with a big elbowdrop.  Biff was taking control like we thought he would.
The rest of the match was Biff's to win.  Enrico managed to stave off a loss for a while, but he eventually fell.  Biff's Gut Crush was followed by a Hammer Splash, and the non-descript match ended just like we thought.

Biff Slamkovich pinned Enrico Ferdinand with the Hammer splash in 0:12:58.
Rating: * 1/2

Not a big win for Biff, but a win nonetheless.  He's sharp for his ongoing feud with the All-Americans.

We took a commercial and came back for a big tag team contest.

The Air Raiders vs The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine

A top contenders match for the SMWA Tag Team Titles has been talked about for Final Breath in a week.  Obviously, a win by either team here would make them look particularly good and send a signal to the promoters as to just who should be in the match-up.

The PXM came out first, sans Extinct.  They were dropped from the Doomsday Hunters like a bad habit on Monday Night Massacre.  Something which they addressed when they entered the ring.

BATTLE:  Hey, Extinct!  Nice trap you laid for us on Monday.  But you know what?  Me and Crash don't care, because we never needed you and never will need you again.  The PXM is going straight to the top once again, and you'll be kicking your own ass when you realize just how good we are!  Ki-Ya-Ha-Ha-Ha!!!

Unfortunately, the beating by Doomsday didn't rob Battle of his trademark cackle.

The Air Raiders came out to much fanfare and, within moments, our match was on.

Crash Burnz started off against El Stingray, and it was a typical mismatch.  Stingray tried to use his speed to his advantage, but Burnz is pretty fast, too.  Stingray went for his high risk moves, but Burnz managed to counter.  Things looked bad early when Burnz hit a beautiful launch slam that dropped Stingray right on his face.  Burnz went up top and went for the 3rd Degree.
Stingray was fortunate enough to move out of the way, sending Crash spinning into the mat.  Spider was tagged in.  He rushed Burnz, but was felled by a clothesline.  Burnz made the tag to Battle.
For a while, it looked bleak for Spider.  He was being ruthlessly double teamed by the PXM and couldn't get any sort of offence going.  Finally, Stingray took matters into his own hands.  Burnz ran into the ropes as Spider lay on the mat and Stingray made his move.  He jumped to the top rope and delivered and enzuigiri from the apron.  Burnz stumbled down and Stingray tagged on in.
Stingray was a flying terror in that ring.  He immediately floored Burnz with a Jalapeno Comet and dropped Battle from the apron with a dropkick.  Stingray dominated Burnz, making sure Crash never had an idea of where he was going to hit next.  Unfortunately, Stingray blew his cover on a moonsault bodyblock.  Burnz caught him and dropped him with a vicious Tombstone.
The PXM regained control for another few moments.  Stingray was launched from one end of the ring to another with by a PXM double launch slam.  The assault continued and it looked like the PXM would get a win.
Spider had other plans.  Slash Battle had Stingray all set up for the Post Breaker.  In a brilliantly accurate move, Spider climbed the ropes and hit a missile dropkick right in the face of his opponent.  Battle dropped Stingray, who made the tag out to Spider.
Spider came in with his best.  He floored both PXM members with spinning kicks, fists and bodyblocks.  Battle and Burnz didn't know what to do.  Burnz went flying over the top and Spider went for the kill on Battle.  He climbed the top rope and delivered a devastating flying spinning heel kick.  Spider made the cover.
Burnz broke it with a chair shot to the back.  The ref called for the bell.

The Air Raiders defeated The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine when Spider defeated Slash by disqualification in 0:16:32.
Rating: *** 1/2

The PXM had lost, but they didn't seem to care.  They continued to beat down on Spider until Stingray came in and smacked both PXMers with a chair of his own.
The Air Raiders picked up a big win, and it doesn't look like the PXM is on track.  Yet.

We went to commercial and returned to find the Cruiserweight Champion wrestling against a heavyweight.

Johnny Proton vs Nitro

A few weeks ago, Johnny Proton's name was drawn in a Luck of the Draw Match against Nitro.  Unfortunately, Proton had defeated five of the top cruiserweights in a Six Way Crash Match earlier that evening.  Nitro took advantaged of the fatigued cruiserweight and pulled off what was considered an upset win.
Tonight, Proton is well rested and ready to go, though maybe a bit sore from the beatings that have been laid on him by Kodiak Marmoset.
It has also been announced that, next Saturday, Kodiak Marmoset and Johnny Proton will face off once more for the SMWA Cruiserweight Title.  Should be a good one.

Proton started the match out flying.  Nitro was far too slow to be able to avoid Proton's high-flying offence.  A beautiful Frankensteiner took Nitro off of his feet.  Proton followed up with some textbook leg lariats.  Proton then threw on some power moves, taking the larger Nitro down with with a DDT and a Northern Lights suplex.
Nitro managed to regain the advantage when Proton went for a cross body block.  Nitro caught him and slammed him right to the mat.  Nitro then brawled his way through the rest of the match, trying to pound Proton into submission.  Surprisingly, though, Proton was up to it.  He managed to punch his way back to an even fight, but Nitro stopped that flurry with a thrust chop to the throat.  Nitro then backed up into the corner and gave the signal for his big lariat, the Nitro Flash.
Nitro charged forward in an attempt to take Proton's head off.  Proton ducked and Nitro went bouncing off of the ropes.  From nowhere, Proton hit the Proton Kick, taking Nitro off of his feet and putting his shoulders square to the mat, ready to be pinned.

Johnny Proton pinned Nitro with the Proton kick in 0:07:36.
Rating: ** 1/4

Proton continues his roll and gets set to take on his "friend" Kodiak Marmoset at Final Breath, next Saturday.

We came back from commercial and were immediately assaulted by the new music of Daredevil Productions.  It sounded like Monica composed it.  It moved back and forth from some sort of classical piano tune to a house-techno beat.  Very poorly done.  Fans were covering their ears as Ron Grayson and Monica made their way down to the ring.  Grayson had promised some sort of surprise for tonight.  Hopefully, it's not the music.

GRAYSON:  Okay, I will admit, Monday Night was not the best day in the short history of Daredevil Productions.  But every corporation goes through some...tough times.  That's what we had on Monday Night.  And, just so there are no rumours going around, yes, Rokuru has quit, and I've fired Hashimuto and Mauling Bear.  I know, what kind of guy fires people when they're hurt.... Anyway, it doesn't matter, because I'm all set for the Highland Hit Squad next Saturday.  I'd like to introduce the new Daredevil Productions Dream Team.... Dark Angel, Judgement and MYSELF, RON GRAYSON!!!

Dark Angel and Judgement came down to the ring to a chorus of boos.  This is what Ron Grayson has to take on the Hit Squad?  Goodnight!

GRAYSON:  Now, you guys, I know I introduced those other three losers as my "Dream Team" on Monday Night, but really, they were just a.. a... a distraction, I guess.  Yeah, that's right.  I was using them because I didn't want to show Terry Sky just how good we were.  Yup, we're trimming the fat here at Daredevil Productions, and those guys were fat!   But I know right now that us three, we can beat that Highland Hit Squad and send them back to Scotland with sheep in between their legs!

Suddenly, bagpipes and fiddles sounded through the arena.  Out came the Highland Hit Squad.  Hamish, Angus and The Flying Scotsman were looking to pick a fight.  Scots had a microphone of his own and began to address Grayson.

SCOTSMAN:  Well, would ye look at that.  Ya know, Ron, I always knew you weren't the smartest brick in the forest, but would ya look at what ye got as a team there?  Judgement?  Ye talk about trimmin' the fat, but you keep his fat arse along for the ride.  And Dark Angel.  I mean, sure, I can sympathize with holding the TV belt for a week, but you take any part of me body and it would be more talented than him!

GRAYSON:  Listen, Scooter.  You can talk trash as much as you like, but the fact is that these guys are going to kick your plaid asses right up those highland hills.

SCOTSMAN:  We'll, if they're going to do it, I don't want to spend a week worrying about it.  We got some referees around.  Let's give 'er.  Now!

Grayson smiled broadly.  He looked happy to go.

GRAYSON:  Well, if we take you out tonight, then next Saturday is just us three against Terry Sky, so bring your kilts and pantyhose into the ring and we'll get it on!

The Hit Squad didn't need a prompter.  They stormed the ring and the match began.

Terry Sky's Highland Hit Squad vs Daredevil Productions

The big men of the teams started off, with Hamish Mactavish locking up with Dark Angel.  Unfortunately, Dark Angel was heavily overmatched.  He found himself power bombed seconds into the match and was on the defensive for the rest of the bout.  Hamish, Angus and the Scotsman made quick tags in and out and Angel couldn't do a thing to stop them.  They were too big, too strong and too fierce.  Angel tried to fight back, but couldn't.  In one of the most insulting moves ever seen, The Flying Scotsman stuck Dark Angel's head under his kilt and just started feeding him fists and knees.  Angel got out from under the kilt and ran to his corner.  He tagged to Judgement and then hopped onto the apron.
Angel then hopped off of the apron and started to walk towards the back.  Ron Grayson followed him and tried to get him back to the ring.  Angel brushed Grayson off and very simply told him "I quit".  The match was now three on two.
Judgement wasn't doing much better in the ring.  Angus had been tagged into the ring and was doing a number on Mr. Law & Order.  Years ago, it was Judgement that Angus beat to move up the rankings in the SMWA.  Angus has come a lot further in that time than Judgement, and it showed.  Angus floored Judgement with a power bomb and then proceeded to do a very perverted dance in the middle of the ring, ending with a thrusting of the hips and a sheep-like noise.  Judgement was disgusted and tried to make it to his corner.  Angus grabbed Judgement's nice dress shirt and tried to pull him back into the ring.  The shirt began to tear and eventually came off.  We could see some of the fat that Grayson hadn't trimmed.  Judgement dove at the corner while Angus kept making sheep noises.  Grayson was tagged in and Judgement high tailed it back to the dressing room.  His comment to Grayson as he left - "I quit".
So now, it really was three on one...The Highland Hit Squad against Ron Grayson.
Grayson climbed into the ring and was immediately hit by an Angus lariat.  Grayson begged off and in came the rest of the squad, a fearsome wall of plaid on the other side of the ring.  Grayson looked terrified and didn't know what to do.  In desperation, he went for a low blow and connected.
The ref, very upset that he had just been hit in the groin, painfully called for the bell.
Grayson took off, Monica in tow.

Terry Sky's Highland Hit Squad (Angus Wallace, Hamish MacTavish and The Flying Scotsman) defeated Daredevil Productions (Dark Angel, Judgement and Ron Grayson) when Wallace defeated Grayson by disqualification in 0:04:02.
Rating: -1/4*

Ron Grayson had just hit a referee in the groin to get out of a match.  What a coward!  One wonders if that's what he's going to this Saturday at Final Breath.
More importantly, one has to wonder who his tag team partners are going to be.  Daredevil Productions seems to have dissolved itself completely tonight.  Looks like Grayson will have to do some recruiting.

We went to commercial and then returned to find three glowing lights floating above the ring.  The three points of light spun in a circle and then crashed into the centre of the ring in a blinding flash.  What was left after the blast?
    ONI!!!
Oni had returned to Saturday Night Slam Masters after his shocking return at Thanksgiving Thunder.  Without a microphone, Oni began to talk.  Maybe we'd get some answers about this whole light situation.

ONI:  I am sure there is much confusion about my return.  Rest assured, your questions will be answered in time.  For now, I can tell you this.  Teioh is a harbinger, the predecessor of a much greater evil.  I tried to stop him before, but was not up to the task.  But that would not be the end of it.
As destructive as the force which Teioh and Zists wish to unleash is, it has it's opponents.  This goes beyond wrestling, beyond the SMWA.  I've known of this force for years, but did not believe Teioh was the one to bring it.  I was wrong.  And I would have suffered ultimate destruction had it not been for the salvation that was brought upon me.
The forces lined against you, Teioh, are great in power.  They have chosen me as their representative.  Let it be known that I am only the first.  More will come.  You will fall.

With that, the arena blacked out.  Oni was the only light in the arena.  We could see something move in the shadows, slowly approaching the ring.  As it came into Oni's sphere, we could see who it was.
Teioh, Zists and Naga Yajito.  They, too, had something to say.

ZISTS:  Oni, you don't even understand the power that was stolen for you.  That staff, the Kongo, contains more power than you will ever be able to comprehend.  It will consume you.  You will become...less than before.  It was you that chose to wage the battle here.  This never had to enter the earthly plane.  But your actions have doomed us all.
You talk of being the first.  You don't even understand.  Your being the first will bring forces more powerful than any seen before to the fold.  Your light is a beacon of destruction.

ONI:  Only your destruction, Zists.  I destroyed your vassal once before.  I shall destroy Teioh.  And I shall destroy you.

ZISTS:  You have destroyed nothing, as he is still here.  Maybe you'd like to test your luck once more, Gran Hikari?

    ONI:  I accept your challenge.

Naga Yajito climbed into the ring.  It looked like we would have a match.

"Gran Hikari" Oni vs Naga Yajito w/ Zists & Teioh

Naga Yajito came to the ring prepared.  He jumped Oni and started peppering him with kicks and chops.  The moves had no effect.  Naga managed to lock on a back suplex, but Oni bounded right back up.  He floored Naga with a vicious thrust kick to the head.  Oni took control.
Naga was rocked with kicks and chops.  He couldn't mount any offence.  The blows hurt too much.  Oni backed up, took a running start and floored Naga with what could only be described as a running corkscrew bodyblock.  Naga hit the ground, unsure what had just hit him.  He backed off from Oni, trying to get some distance.  Oni would not allow it.  He hit Naga with a vicious spin kick to the side of the head.  Naga stumbled forward and Oni went for the kill.  He planted Naga with the Neck Wrecker and made the cover.  That was all.

Oni pinned Naga Yajito with the Neck Wrecker in 0:01:50.
Rating: **

Teioh and Zists stormed the ring, but Oni was ready for them.  The Kongo staff materialized in his hands in a flash of light.  Oni held the staff over his head, chanted something, and another flash of light hit the ring.  When it cleared, Oni was gone and the Dark Ones were left alone in the ring.
We had some answers.  But those answers have raised more questions.  Both Oni and Zists had alluded to some sort of higher power.  What would that power be?  It looks like we'll have to wait and see.
Maybe, when we finally see Teioh and Oni face off once again, we will get more answers.

As Teioh made the arena go dark, we went to commercial.  On our return, Nick Jones was backstage, ready to talk to "Tricky" Rick Clark.

JONES:  Welcome back to Saturday Night Slam Masters.  With me right now is a man who, this Thursday, had a classic match-up with the SMWA World Heavyweight Champion, Mike Haggar.  He is the leader of Simply the Best, "Tricky" Rick Clark.

CLARK:  How are you doing, Jonesy?

    JONES:  Very good, thank you.

CLARK:  Good to hear.  I was worried about you, you know.

    JONES:  Really? Why?

    CLARK:  No reason.

JONES:  ... Well, I'd like to talk to you about the World Title match at Thanksgiving Thunder.  It may very well have been the greatest World Title match in the history of the SMWA.  It could have gone any way, but we all know the way it went down.

CLARK:  No, Jones, I don't know how it went down.  Could you refresh my memory?

JONES:  .... Mike Haggar beat you.

CLARK:  And you had to just reinforce that in this interview?  You know, Jones, you'll never get ahead in this journalism field by stating the obvious.  Let me just say this so you don't have to talk about it anymore and expose your ignorance.  Yes, Mike Haggar beat me.  So now he's one and three against Rick Clark.  Rest assured, if he still had that World Title, I'd be taking it from him in the near future.  Unfortunately, he lost it to Ghost and it looks like those two are going to be feuding.  And there's no WAY I'm jumping in between those two sides.  But don't you fret, Jonesy.  I'll have more World Title shots down the road, more Title shots than you have bad haircuts.  I'll be on top of that mountain again someday.

JONES:  Well, what's next for you and Simply the Best?

CLARK:  Well, if you had bothered to read the program for tonight, Titan Tim is next for me.  No problem.  I've beat Mr. Tall before, I'll do it again.  As for Simply the Best, Jerry and Cody have this whole thing going on with Jumbo, so we'll see how that goes.  Me?  Well, after tonight I plan on going to a bar, having a few drinks and then going home and sleeping.   After that, well, I'll know as it happens.  You're welcome for my time, Jonesy.

Clark left Jones alone one more time, holding the mic.  Jones again looked flustered.

    JONES:  Back to you, John.

SMWA Television Title Match
West Bronco (c) vs Dragon de Hielo

Fuerza Dragon shocked a lot of people with their tag team title win weeks ago over the Philadelphia X-Treme Machine.  What did not shock people, however, was how short that reign was.  Fuerza Dragon went back to their normal streaky ways, dropping the belts to Highland Hell.
West Bronco has been streaky in a good way.  He's been on a big winning streak for a long time, netting the SMWA Television Title.  What chance did a Dragon in a cold streak (no pun intended) have of beating the red hot Cowboy from Arizona?
    We would find out.

West Bronco went for his trademark power & brawl offence early, basically bullying his smaller foe.  Dragon kept getting up only to be knocked down again.  A few short lariats, a DDT and a reverse neckbreaker, Dragon was looking rough early on.  Finally, Dragon was able to make use of his speed.  Bronco stuck his arm out for a clothesline.  Dragon grabbed the arm, spun around Bronco's shoulders and nailed him with a bulldog.  Dragon took control.
Dragon managed to use his speed to confound Bronco for the next few minutes.  Drawing on lucha moves to keep Bronco off balance and a few high impact moves like power bombs to take the gas out of Bronco, Dragon was making the TV Champ look very mortal.  Dragon followed up with a flurry of kicks and elbows before sending Bronco to the mat with a jumping side kick to the jaw.  Ice Dragon then climbed up to the second rope, ready to do some damage.
Before Dragon could even take the jump, Bronco got to his feet and locked a clawhold on Dragon.  Bronco grabbed Dragon and, in one motion, hit a version of Titan Tim's Claw Slam on him.  As Dragon hit the mat, Bronco kept the clawhold locked on tight.  Dragon struggled to get free and was almost counted down on the mat a few times.  Finally, before he slipped into unconsciousness, Dragon got to the ropes.
Bronco reasserted his size advantage, taking a groggy Dragon down with several thunderous lariats.  Bronco wasn't being fancy.  He was brawling.  That's what he does.
Dragon found himself planted against the turnbuckles.  Bronco charged into the corner but Dragon caught him with an elbow underneath the jaw.  A swinging neckbreaker took Bronco down.  Ice Dragon picked him up again and dropped him with a Doctor Bomb.

NO!  Bronco had a fight on his hands tonight!
Dragon kept his offence up.  He floored Bronco with another bulldog and then started on the high flying moves.  A beautiful cross body press almost put Bronco out for the count.  Looking to finish it all off, Dragon got behind Bronco and locked on the Freezing Claw to the back of his neck.
Bronco was fading fast and had to break free.  He tried to get to Dragon, but Dragon was squarely behind him.  Bronco began flailing around with his arms, hoping something would hit Dragon.  Finally, an elbow glanced off the side of Dragon's head, causing him to break the hold.  Bronco swiftly turned around and levelled Dragon with a big lariat.  Both men were down.
The match was reaching it's conclusion.  The twenty minute time limit on the TV Title matches was approaching fast.  And both combatants were down on the mat, unconscious.  The ref began his count.  Bronco and Dragon both got up at eight and started brawling.
    The clock was running.
Dragon got the advantage with some well placed chops and went for a big spin kick.  Bronco ducked and nailed Dragon with a big back suplex.  Dragon staggered up and then Bronco showed us his speed and agility with a beautiful rana.  Bronco got up and signalled for the Tombstone.
Dragon staggered forward and Bronco lifted him into position.
    DING DING DING!!!
The referee told Bronco to drop Dragon.  Bronco put him down and confronted the ref.  The ref gave him the bad news.
    Time had run out.

Dragon de Hielo and West Bronco battled to a draw in 0:20:00.
Rating: **** 1/4
(West Bronco retained the SMWA Television Title.)

Wow!  What an... upset?  Nobody expected Dragon to even come close to going the distance, but he did.  And he looked damn good doing it.
Dragon and Bronco both looked very unhappy in the ring.  This won't be the end of this between the two of them.
In a way, Bronco's winning streak has been ended.  He is now only undefeated.  Not a bad distinction, but I'm sure he would have rather had it ended by somebody other than Dragon de Hielo.
    The rematch should be interesting.

We went to another commercial and came back for one of our big matches.

"Tricky" Rick Clark w/ Simply the Best vs "Titan" Tim Redbury

They've met before for the North American Title, Clark coming out on top the first time.  Titan pulled out a win in a triangle match to regain the North American Title in February, but Clark rebounded for a big win at the Crash Carnival pre-game show.  Tonight would be an interesting encounter, as both men are coming off some of the biggest losses in there careers.  A win gets them back on track, while a loss could be bad news.
Apart from the obvious advantages in size and speed on the part of both men, Clark had a big advantage in that he is still a member of Simply the Best.  He has two other men who could come to his aid against Titan.  Titan disbanded the Raiders and is fighting alone.  Not that he can't do that.  But it should be interesting to see how he deals with it after being in a stable so long.

Titan didn't do anything too fancy to start the match.  He made sure to keep Clark grounded and use his power to wear him down.  Titan's offence consisted mostly of boots, chops, knees and throwdowns.  But when you're seven foot seven and four hundred and forty pounds, that will do a lot of damage.  Clark was hurting early.  He had to find an opening to counter Titan's power.
He found it when Tim telegraphed a big boot.  Clark fell to his back and swept Tim's legs out from under him.  Titan went crashing down and Clark took control.  As Titan got up, Clark hit him with a dropkick, staggering the big man.  Clark then put all of his weight into a faceslam, bringing Titan to the mat.  Clark had the edge.
Clark's offence involved keeping Titan down for as long as possible, locking him in submission and wear down holds.  When Titan inevitably got back up, Clark used his speed and skill to force him back down.  Clark managed to control the tempo until he went for an ill-advised vertical suplex.  Titan countered pretty much by standing up.  Clark went crashing down.  Intent on putting the hurt on his opponent, Titan hit two more big vertical suplexes before tossing Clark over the top rope to the outside.
Simply the Best gathered around Clark and helped him to his feet.  There was a brief strategy session until Clark felt a big hand on the top of his head.  Titan had reached over the top ropes and was pulling Clark into the ring.  Clark, on the apron, knew how to counter that.  He drove a knee right into Titan's groin.  The Big Brit dropped like a rock and Clark came flying over the ropes with a slingshot splash for a two count.
Clark continued his strategy from before.  Titan tried to get to his feet but received a big super kick to the jaw as he was trying to stand up.  Titan tried to get up again, but this time Clark levelled him with a flying forearm shot.  Titan couldn't get any kind of footing.  Finally, Clark went to the well once too often.  He went for another super kick, but Titan caught his boot and shoved Clark down to the mat.  Titan went for the Claw Slam, but Clark blocked it and made it to the ropes.
Titan went on a rampage.  Clark was hit with a Russian legsweep followed by a flying bodypress for a two count.  Titan hit another massive vertical suplex for another two count.  Clark was reeling and Titan was on his way to taking the match.
Kent jumped up onto the apron in an obvious bid to distract the ref.  Cody, while the ref was distracted, entered the ring and hit Titan with a low blow.  Clark went for a small package, but he couldn't roll Titan's weight over.  Titan was on top of Clark, pinning him, but the ref was occupied with Jerry Kent.  Cody, seeing Clark in trouble, took a running start and barrelled into Titan's side, pushing him over onto the mat.  Kent dropped from the apron, the ref turned around and a count was made.

Rick Clark pinned Titan Tim Redbury after a small package in 0:23:43.
Rating: *** 1/2

With a little help from his friends and a lot of perseverance, Rick Clark had garnered a win over Titan Tim Redbury.  Simply the Best got the hell out of dodge before Titan could get to them.
We went to the back to see Ron Grayson and Monica getting into their car.  An SMWA official stopped them.

OFFICIAL:  You're not getting out of here.

GRAYSON:  But I'm the North American Champion...

OFFICIAL:  Which means nothing.  Come with me, Mr. Grayson.

Ron Grayson was led away from his car.  We went to commercial and returned for the Saturday Night Slam Masters exclusive Luck of the Draw Match.

Luck of the Draw Match

It looked like we would have a good one when our first participant was named.  A slow, country tune was heard over the announce system as West Bronco made his way down to the ring.  The TV Champ had gone through quite a surprising war with Dragon de Hielo earlier tonight and one would have to wonder what kind of impact that would have on him.
Then it came time to introduce his opponent...and on came that God awful tekno/classical beat we had heard earlier tonight.  Coming down the aisle, looking none too happy, was the SMWA North American Champion, Ron Grayson.

These two butted heads most notably over the summer, when both men had just been kicked out of the Doomsday Hunters and they were trying (very hard, very badly) to form a tag team.  Their most notable meeting was at Back Street Brawl, when Bronco  beat Grayson in a "You're Better Than Me" match.  Since then, both men have had considerable success and found each other on opposite sides of the Raiders/Sky Entertainment Ltd. feud.  This match should be interesting.
It should be noted, however, that titles aren't up for grabs in the Luck of the Draw bouts.

Grayson stepped into the ring very reluctantly and seemed almost annoyed that he had to lock up with Bronco.  The first few minutes of this match involved Grayson stalling, avoiding clinches and spending a considerable amount of time on the floor.  Finally, he got bored and grabbed the mic.

GRAYSON:  You know what, West?  I'm the North American Champion.  You are the TV Champion.  I have nothing to prove in this match.  See you later.

With that, Grayson began to walk back towards the dressing room.  Bronco wasn't willing to pick up such an easy win.  He charged after Grayson and pulled him back into the ring.
Bronco tossed Grayson to the mat and started his assault.  He started by stomping a mudhole in Grayson and then locked on a spinning toe hold.  Grayson screamed in pain before he made it to the ropes.  He got up and offered his hand to Bronco.  Bronco grabbed it and levelled Grayson with a short lariat.  A belly-to-belly suplex sent Grayson rolling outside, where Bronco gave chase.
In desperation, Grayson ducked behind Monica.  A smile crossed Bronco's face.  He knew how to deal with this.  He grabbed Monica and planted a big kiss on her.  Monica...well, she really didn't resist.
Grayson wasn't happy, though.  He started yelling at Monica to let go and, when she didn't, made Bronco let go.   He shoved Bronco away from Monica and then levelled him with a spinning leg lariat.
Grayson took Bronco back in the ring and beat him up in a fit of rage.  He planted him with a DDT and then hit a somersault splash for a near fall.  Decided to forget about actual moves, Grayson just started kicking Bronco.  This pissed Bronco off.  A lot.
Bronco made his way to his feet and levelled Grayson with a big lariat.  Grayson scurried back and Bronco kept at him.  He planted Grayson with a big double underhook suplex and the proceeded to drop a few elbows on him.  Grayson got back up but was once more floored by a big lariat.  He wasn't having any luck.
Monica, finally getting over herself and Bronco's kiss, knew something had to be done.  In hopes of distracting the referee so Grayson could do something illegal, Monica did what she did best - she jumped the ref.
The ref, not unhappy to have Monica on him but realizing that what she was doing was illegal, did what a referee knows how to do best - called for the bell.

Luck of the Draw Match:
West Bronco defeated Ron Grayson by disqualification in 0:09:57.
Rating: ***

Monica got off of the referee and thanked him, making her escape with Grayson, yelling "We Won!"
Grayson looked at her and started to explain what the referee had done.   The conversation continued as the two went to the dressing room and probably went a few hours into the night.
Sometimes, you think Ron Grayson is really lucky.  Then she opens her mouth.

We went to commercial and returned for our BIG...

SMWA World Title Match
Ghost w/ Saul Masters
vs
Doomsday w/ Extinct

******** Cue Ring Announcer ********

RA:  Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the SMWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE!!!

******** Explosion, then Cue Doomsday's Music ********

RA:  First, the challenger... Being led to the ring by Extinct...  He hails from the Ashes of the Armageddon... He weighs in at four hundred pounds....  DOOMSDAY!!!

It was quite odd to hear a few cheers for Doomsday.  Was it standing up for Haggar that made him popular, standing against Ghost or standing up to Extinct?  Either way, Doomsday was almost a crowd favourite going in to this match.  Not that he cared.  And not that it would help him against his opponent.

******** Cue Major Force's Music ********

RA:  His opponent... Being led to the ring by Saul Masters... Representing Major Force.... from the Northwestern United States of America... Weighing in at two hundred and thirty four pounds....  The SMWA Heavyweight Champion of the World!!!  GHOST!!!

Ghost was getting heavy boos.  It's one thing to insult and defeat Haggar, but to ridicule the fans for cheering him is something else.  Funny, since Ghost got quite a few cheers several months ago when he stood against Doomsday.  Times have changed.

Ghost entered the ring and the brawl began.  Ghost tried to make a dent in Doomsday, but it seems like he has a harder time doing it every time they meet.  Ghost managed to  hit a faceslam on Doomsday, taking him down.  But Ghost thought the move had done more damage than it had.  Ghost went up top but, by the time he was there, Doomsday was up.  He hit Ghost in the stomach and Ghost fell on top.  Doomsday hit the Death from Above chokeslam and then set Ghost up for the ARMAGEDDON!!!  AND HE HIT IT!!!  Quickly, Doomsday went for a shocking pin.
    1...
        2...
NO!!!  Ghost got a shoulder up!  Barely!  He made it to his feet and started punching away at Doomsday, but to no effect.  Doomsday picked up Ghost and hit the launch slam.  Ghost again got up and tried to brawl with Doomsday, but to no avail.  Doomsday was looking more dominant than ever.  Ghost tried to escape, but Doomsday struck again, planting him with a spinning power bomb.  The new World Champion was in a lot of trouble.
Doomsday placed Ghost on the ropes and started choking him out.  The ref started the count, but Doomsday always broke before the ref reached five.  Ghost was in rough shape, and Doomsday knew it.
Doomsday wrapped his mighty arms around Ghost's waist and began to squeeze him in a massive bearhug.  The life seemed to be slipping away from Ghost, as did his World Title.  Desperate to escape, Ghost began to hit Doomsday with multiple earringers.  Doomsday wasn't fazed.  Ghost tried to plant fists into Doomsday's head.  Still, nothing.  Finally, Doomsday released the hold, but it seemed to be more out of boredom than anything else.
Ghost again tried to brawl back into the match, but Doomsday took everything once more.  This was the pattern of the match.  Doomsday would hit a flurry of power moves, leaving Ghost to hit only a few scattered punches and kicks.  Doomsday had this match.
Masters was finally able to interject himself on his man's behalf.  As Doomsday ran into the ropes, Masters grabbed his ankle.  Doomsday simply looked at Masters and kicked him away, but this gave Ghost the chance he needed.  He kicked Doomsday in the stomach and, in one powerful motion, hit a variation of his Final Breath tiger driver.  For the first time in the match, Doomsday looked stunned.  Ghost went for the pin.
    On..KICKOUT!!!
    Well, Doomsday looked stunned.
Ghost tried as hard as he could to keep up his assault, but Doomsday was not being very helpful.  Ghost went for a high cross body and Doomsday simply slammed him right to the mat.  Saul Masters had seen enough.
Masters jumped onto the ring apron.  Doomsday saw him and approached him.  While the ref was distracted with this, Extinct entered the ring and cracked Ghost in the back of the head with a chair.  Extinct decided that one shot was not enough and he cracked Ghost once again.
The ref had heard the crack of the first shot.  He turned around and saw Extinct with the chair.  He called for the bell.

Ghost defeated Doomsday by disqualification in 0:11:52.
Rating: ***
(Ghost retained the SMWA World Heavyweight Title)

Before Doomsday could even get upset at Extinct, Alexander "The Grater" and Skarzz were out from the back, attacking him.  Saul Masters entered the ring and floored Extinct with a martial arts kick.  Extinct went down.  Ghost got up and joined his teammates in the assault.  Not only had Doomsday lost the match, but he was being annihilated.
Suddenly, the arena burst into cheers.  Somebody was coming down the aisle...
    MIKE HAGGAR!?!?!
Haggar, chair in hand, cleared Major Force from the ring.  As the Force stood on the outside, Doomsday noticed Haggar.  The two locked eyes.
Our program went off the air with Doomsday and Haggar locked in a staredown mid-ring.
