November 21st, 1998

Hello and welcome to another edition of Saturday Night Slam Masters.
What a show we have for you tonight.
King Rasta will defend his Television Title against the red hot West Bronco.
Tim Redbury defends the North American Title against Sky Entertainment member Kenji Hashimuto.
The Air Raiders face off against the All-Americans.
Jack Slade will be in action facing Clone.   Kodiak Marmoset is nowhere to be seen tonight, so we may end up having a clean fight.
Six Cruiserweights will face off in a pinfalls-only SIX WAY CRASH!   The winner will get a Cruiserweight Title shot at Thanksgiving Thunder
Extinct is here and he has a challenge for Ghost of Major Force.
And, in our main event, Rick Clark has demanded to face off against a member of Sky Entertainment Ltd. after Terry Sky cleared Simply the Best from the ring.   SMWA Toughman Champion The Flying Scotsman has stepped up to meet the challenge, and those two will face off tonight!
      Let's get to the action.

The Raiders vs Sky Entertainment Ltd.
SMWA North American Title Match
"Titan" Tim Redbury (c) vs Kenji Hashimuto

In one week, the war between Sky Entertainment Ltd. and the Raiders will hopefully end as the teams square off in a Rolling Thunder match.   Tonight, the war continues as the leader of The Raiders faces off against one of Sky Entertainment's young stars.

Hashimuto used his speed and martial arts skill to his advantage early on, employing kick and run tactics on Titan.   Unfortunately, the effect was minimal.   As soon as Titan got his hands on Hashimuto, he began tossing him around like a small child.   Hashimuto did manage to get the edge with a DDT when Titan dropped his head, but then he made a mistake.   Hashimuto repeatedly kicked Titan in his torso, but each kick seemed to have less of an effect.   The final kick was caught by Titan with one hand.   His other hand wrapped around Kenji's head.   Kenji found himself over nine feet in the air and was dropped by a thunderous Claw Slam.   That was it.

Titan Tim Redbury pinned Kenji Hashimuto with the Claw Slam in 0:02:50.
Rating: -1/4*
(Titan Tim Redbury retained the SMWA North American Title.)

Titan was his dominating best, as this battle went the way of the Raiders.   But the big battle will come next Thursday.   Some commercials told us all about it, and when we returned we would see...

Skarzz w/ Saul Master vs Lovechild

Back in the days of the Seven Deadly Sins, Lovechild and Skarzz were actually team-mates!   Stablemates, at the very least.   Masters knew exactly what Lovechild was capable of, while Lovechild knew just what Skarzz could do.   And somewhere down in his horny little heart, Lovechild had to know that there wasn't much he could do to Skarzz except lie down and get pinned.

He tried, though.   He really did.   As soon as Skarzz jumped into the ring, Lovechild was all over him, nailing him with two quick dropkicks.   Lovechild then went for a spinning DDT, and that was the end of him.   Using his massive strength, Skarzz scooped Lovechild onto his shoulder, took him to the corner and executed the Skarring.   Lovechild had tried, but to no avail.

Skarzz pinned Lovechild with the Skarring in 0:00:28.
Rating: 1/2*

We could then hear somebody applauding from backstage.   Out came Extinct, microphone in hand.   He had a challenge of some sort for Major Force, and we were about to hear it.

"Well, that was a waste of a perfectly good minute.   Masters, I've got some real competition for ya.   You pick any one of your little Major Force pansies.   Skarzz, Grater, Ghost, you, I don't care.   I'll give them some real competition.   I'll match them up with the cornerstone of the Doomsday Hunters.   The man who's meant more to the DH than anybody.   One of your guys against...ME!!!"

The crowd went crazy!   Extinct was going to face either Grater, Ghost or Skarzz?   What was he thinking?   Masters stood in the ring and nodded his approval.   Tonight, we would see EXTINCT against one of Major Force.   THAT should prove interesting.   And you just know Extinct has something up his sleeve.

After a commercial break, Nick Jones caught up with Extinct and the Philadelphia X-Treme Machine backstage, intent on finding out just what the story was.

JONES:   Extinct, we just heard you challenge one of Major Force to a match later on tonight, and the question on everybody's mind is...well, what are you thinking???

EXTINCT:   I'll overlook how insulting that question is, Jones.   Simply put, I've been North American Champion and a Tag Team Champion many times over.   It's not like I haven't stepped in to that ring before.   I'm the most dangerous man in this federation, for whatever the reason.   So I wouldn't worry about later on tonight, because I'm going to prove to Major Force just how dangerous the Doomsday Hunters can be!   Crash, Slash, we have a match to get to.

And with that, Extinct led the Philadelphia X-Treme Machine from the ring to face off against the recently deposed SMWA Tag Team Champions, Fuerza Dragon.

The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine w/ Extinct
vs
Fuerza Dragon

If only Fuerza Dragon had held on to their titles this Monday against Highland Hell, The PXM would be wrestling for Gold.   But they were cheated out of that shot last Saturday by Major Force, and Highland Hell did their part by beating Fuerza Dragon.   As it stands, a win by the PXM puts them right back near top contender status.   Fuerza Dragon needs the win so they don't fade into championship obscurity.

As soon as the PXM stormed the ring, the match was over.   Dragon de Hielo was scooped up in a double launch slam and pitched from the ring like a lawn dart.   Battle and Burnz then took it right to Fuego, beating him to within an inch of his life.   After a thunderous double power bomb, Battle took Fuego and hit the Post Breaker.   That was all she wrote for the former SMWA Tag Team Champions of the World.

The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine defeated Fuerza Dragon when Slash pinned Fuego with the Post Breaker in 0:01:08.
Rating: **

Damn impressive work by the PXM, who seem to be heading right back to the top.   Interesting one upsmanship, too.   Major Force takes a quick win earlier in the night, the Doomsday Hunters squash right back.
Thunder should be one hell of a war between these two factions.

Clone w/ The Actor vs "The Cruncher" Jack Slade

Clone has a spot on the Thanksgiving Thunder card.   Jack Slade does not.   Funny how things can change over a few weeks...
Clone and the Actor again did their little "spoof" of their opponent.   Clone came out in tights remarkably similar to Slade's, while the Actor decided to dig a little deeper.   He dressed up like Jessica Haggar.   Slade was backstage, and Nick Jones found him.

JONES:   Well, Jack.   You see it.   What do you think?

SLADE:   I think that Clone and Actor are in a whole lot of trouble.   Crunch time.

With that, Slade's music started and he stormed into the ring, taking on both Clone and the Actor.   Slade was trying to separate himself from the Haggar's as much as possible, and The Actor's costume sure wasn't helping.   Slade was ready to hurt some people.
The Actor got tossed over the top ropes and Slade dealt with Clone.   He beat him down to the mat and then ran off of the ropes.   The Actor, recovered, took a chair and smashed it over the back of Slade, knocking him down.   Clone saw his opening and went for the cover.
      1...
              2...
NO! Slade got out.   Barely, but he kicked out!   Clone continued to attack Slade, taking to the air with a frog splash for a near fall.   Not letting up for a moment, Clone again went to the top rope and delivered a powerful somersault bodypress, knocking Slade back to the mat.   Clone continued the high impact assault and then locked on a Dragon Sleeper in an attempt to put Slade out.
Slade had been creamed early on in this match and his strength was seeping away every second.   The shot by the Actor had taken it's toll.   When Slade's hand dropped the first time, it looked like the Dragon Sleeper would put him out.   When it dropped the second time, it looked like we had an upset.
When it DIDN'T drop the third time, the crowd exploded into cheers.   Slade wasn't done just yet.   He struggled to his feet and flipped his way out of the Dragon Sleeper.   He planted a couple of stiff forearms in the back of Clone's head and then dropped him with a reverse DDT.   Slade then picked Clone back up and caught him in an airplane spin.   He spun closer and closer to the ropes and, when he got there, he pitched Clone right over the top, to the arena floor.   Clone tried to get back into the ring but was met with a baseball slide to the jaw.   The brawl continued on the floor.
Slade whipped Clone from post to post until The Actor, still dressed like Jessica, came around and started blowing kisses to Slade.   Slade charged at the Actor and nailed him with a big lariat, but he turned around only to be felled by the same move, this time delivered by Clone.   Clone beat Slade down on the outside and then whipped him back into the ring.
A spinning DDT, a belly-to-back superplex - Clone was pulling out all of the stops.   But a missed charge into the turnbuckle proved disastrous as Slade nailed Clone with an enzuilariato.   A Stunner nearly put Clone out for the count, as did a Soviet suplex.   But then the Actor came onto the apron.   Slade was once again distracted, then floored by Clone.
The match followed much the same pattern from then on in.   Clone would go on the offensive, Slade would mount a comeback and then the Actor would distract him.   At one point, Slade had Clone pinned after a deadly Concussion Bomb, but The Actor grabbed Slade and pulled him from the ring.   Slade was fed up.
Slade dropped the Actor with a spinebuster and then took him head first into the ring steps.   Re-entering the ring, Slade was kicked in the face by Clone.   It was Kodiak's move!!! THE FINISHER!!!   The referee made the count.
      1...
              2...
NO!!! Slade still kicks out.   Amazing!   Clone backed up to deliver the move once more, but Slade ducked.   He kicked Clone in the stomach and then, from out of nowhere, hit the Spiked DDT.   Slade went for the pin.
But the Actor had already dragged Clone out of the ring.   Walking back to the dressing room, his team-mate half conscious, Actor fled the ring. And Clone was counted out.

Jack Slade defeated Clone by countout in 0:17:00.
Rating: *** 3/4

Slade didn't look to impressed with what had happened.   A cameraman picked up a stray comment from Slade.

"I'm going to have to kick a little Actor ass."

Looks like The Actor has a match at some point.

We went to commercial.   We were about to see a Six Man Crash Match.   The rules are that all SIX men are allowed in the ring at the same time and the only way a man can be eliminated is by pinfall or submission.   The last man standing in the ring wins.
On the line would be a shot at the SMWA Cruiserweight Title at Thanksgiving Thunder.

Winner Gets a Shot at the Cruiserweight Title at Thanksgiving Thunder
Six Way Crash Match
Naga Yajito vs Johnny Proton vs Lantern vs
Akira Wan-Pai vs Teknos vs BC-2000

This should be quite the contest.   Of the six men in the ring, five have worn the SMWA Cruiserweight strap, BC-2000 being the only wrestler of the six never to have held the title.   All six men have met before in various ways, so this should be interesting.

To start, the competitors paired off.   Naga Yajito started brawling with his Thunder opponent, Akira Wan-Pai.   Teknos went after BC-2000, while Lantern and Proton brawled.   Lantern hit Proton with a few spinning kicks and a vicious Dragon screw.   He then held Proton in a leglock while Teknos suplexed BC-2000 onto the fallen Proton.   It was bizarre and possibly uni ntentional teamwork, but it worked very well.
Akira and Naga were mostly avoiding the other four, content on keeping their fight strictly between the two of them.   Neither one of the two was able to gain any sort of advantage in the fight.   Naga attempted a back suplex, but Akira flipped out of it.   He then went for a thrust kick but was taken down by a legsweep.   Akira rolled to safety after hitting the ground.   It was a martial arts stalemate.
In the meantime, Teknos and BC-2000 decided to pool their resources, attacking Lantern, whom the two had feuded with during the Los Viajeros - Highland Hell feud.   The two felled Lantern with a double power bomb and then dropped a double elbowdrop.   Proton tried to springboard in to the ring to hit Teknos, but Teknos ducked and Proton landed on Lantern.   BC-2000 then went for a leg drop, but Proton moved and BC-2000 landed on Lantern.   Lantern was taking one hell of a beating.
The match was insane for the next few minutes, everybody taking turns double teaming everybody else.   Akira Wan-Pai hit Naga Yajito with a Tetzuzanko but was dropkicked by Lantern and Teknos before he could make a cover.   Proton went for the Proton kick on BC-2000, who was being held by Lantern, but BC ducked and Proton hit Lantern.   Johnny was then rolled up for a near fall by Naga.   The action was moving at a breakneck pace.
Akira Wan-Pai and Naga Yajito continued their fight.   Akira went for a roundhouse right, but Naga ducked.   He took Akira down with a vicious backdrop driver which, very simply, knocked Akira unconscious.   Teknos quickly took advantage, climbing up the ropes and hitting the Teknospinner.

x Teknos defeated Akira after the Teknospinner in 0:15:59

Akira was the first man down...and he wasn't getting up.   The referee, seeing this, rang the bell.   He checked on the fallen Akira and then called to the back for a medical team.   The match stopped, the remaining five cruiserweights paying no attention to one another.   Akira was put on a stretcher, the EMT's paying very close attention to his neck.   He was then wheeled into the back as the arena sat hushed.
SMWA Commissioner Jack McCullough then came down to the ring and talked to the referee.   Though we couldn't make out the exact details of the conversation as it happened, it seemed clear that McCullough wanted the match to continue.   The referee rang the bell.
The five cruiserweights were a little hesitant to restart the bout.   But this was for a shot at the Cruiserweight Title at a very big event.   Simply put, the match had to go on.   Akira's injury aside, the match would continue.
Naga Yajito struck the first blow, jumping Teknos, and the match continued.
As Proton, Teknos and Naga fought on one side of the ring, old rivals BC-2000 and Lantern duked it out.   Lantern was hit with a vicious belly to back suplex and then received a beautiful Frankensteiner which dropped him right on his head.   BC-2000 made the cover.

      x BC-2000 defeated Lantern after a Frankensteiner in 0:20:45

Naga Yajito had just been knocked to the outside by Proton and Teknos, who then turned their attention to BC-2000.   Proton floored him with a power bomb and then climbed on to the apron.   Teknos climbed to the top rope and dove off with a flying elbowdrop.   Proton then slingshotted his way into the ring with a somersault splash, taking BC-2000 out of the match.

x Proton defeated BC-2000 after a slingshot somersault splash in 0:23:11

Naga Yajito then climbed back into the ring, where Proton and Teknos continued their double team assault.   It ended when Teknos knelt behind Naga and Proton levelled him with the Proton kick, covering him for the pin.

x Proton defeated Yajito after the Proton kick in 0:25:03

So it was down to two men.   Johnny Proton and Teknos.   What a match.
There was a brief exchange of armlocks, but then the match turned into a chopping contest, each man beating the other down.   Proton took Teknos down with a DDT and climbed the ropes.   He went for a flying cross body block, but Teknos turned it into a powerslam.   Proton slowly got to his feet, but Teknos again floored him with a rolling kick.   Proton got up and Teknos went for a monkey flip.   Proton slammed him to the mat.   A groggy Teknos got to his feet but was then cradled in a picture perfect Frankensteiner.   The ref counted to three.

x Proton defeated Teknos after a Frankensteiner in 0:27:17
(Johnny Proton won a Six Way Crash)

Johnny Proton will now fight Rokuru for the Cruiserweight Title at Thanksgiving Thunder.   But even he wasn't immediately concerned about that match, as was made clear when Nick Jones came down for an interview.

JONES: Johnny, you just beat six of the top cruiserweights in the world.   Congratulations!

PROTON: Thanks, Nick, but do you know anything about Akira?

      JONES:   No, not right now.

PROTON:   Okay, well you let everybody know when you do, all right?   I hope the guy's okay.   I didn't want to earn my shot with somebody else getting hurt.

Johnny Proton - Super-Nice-Guy!   Jones took us to commercial.   When we returned, he was in the back of the arena, in a loading bay.

JONES:   Fans, Akira Wan-Pai was just put into an ambulance moments ago.   We're not sure exactly what was wrong with him, though there did seem to be some sort of problem with his neck.   Exactly what that problem is, we don't know, fans.   As you can see on this replay, however, it appears to have been caused by this backdrop driver delivered by Naga Yajito.   We'll keep you updated as we get information, but again, as it stands right now, it appears that Akira Wan-Pai has suffered some sort of neck injury.   We'll have more as it develops.   Back to you, John.

With any luck, Akira Wan-Pai is okay.   After seeing the replay, however, it might just take a lot of luck for Akira to pull through.

The Air Raiders vs The All-Americans

Chad Hillsman hates all foreigners.   The wildly popular Mexican pair of El Stingray and Ultimate Spider would certainly count.   In what would be a tune-up for their tag team match on Thursday, the All-Americans were looking to take the victory against the up-and-coming but much, much smaller Air Raiders.

Speed overcame size early in the match.   Spider and Stingray used quick tags and a high flying offence to keep the powerful All-Americans off balance.   The strategy worked until, inevitably, one high flying move missed.   In this case, it was a moonsault bodyblock by Stingray.   He was able to land on his feet but caught a massive forearm to the back of the head from Chad Hillsman.   Gunloc and Hillsman then played their game.   They overpowered the smaller Stingray and double teamed him within an inch of his existence.   It looked like the All-Americans would take the match.
      But then came Biff Slamkovich.
Slamkovich came down to the ring and immediately got the attention of Gunloc.   Gunloc turned around to jaw with his former tag team partner while Hillsman, worried about the repercussions of attacking Slamkovich and whether THAT would lead to his suspension, stood on the apron and belittled the Ukrainian.   As Gunloc was distracted, Stingray tagged Spider and each member of the Air Raiders planted a dropkick in the back of Gunloc's knees.   The tide shifted.
The Raiders kept up the offence.   Stingray was tagged in after Spider hit a Missile Dropkick from the top, and Mexico's Sexiest Wrestler followed up with a textbook somersault legdrop.   Gunloc almost went down right there.   The match spilled outside, where both teams continued to brawl.
Spider handled Hillsman, Stingray took Gunloc and Slamkovich waited.   Stingray placed Gunloc on a table and ringside and drove him through it with a senton splash.   Re-entering the ring, Stingray was chided by the referee for his tactics.
Slamkovich, seeing his opportunity, attacked Gunloc.   He planted him on the floor with a Tombstone piledriver and then looked at Hillsman as if to say "What are you going to do?"
Biff stood right between Hillsman and the unconscious Gunloc as the referee counted.

The Air Raiders defeated The All-Americans when Stingray defeated Gunloc by countout in 0:07:39.
Rating: ** 1/4

Upon hearing the bell, Slamkovich went back to the dressing room, smiling broadly at Hillsman.   Hillsman couldn't attack Biff or he would be suspended.   If he took his frustrations out on the Air Raiders, the same result would ensue.
Cursing and swearing unrepeatable obscenities, Hillsman picked up his partner and made his way back to the dressing room, stopping at a cameraman as we went to commercial.

"Biff, Zangief.   Enjoy it while you can.   This Thursday, I'm gonna beat the crap out of both of you Pink Commie Bastards!"

Maybe, but this battle went to the Eastern Powers.

SMWA Television Title Match
King Rasta (c) w/ Bobby the Monkey vs West Bronco

This was bound to be a good one.
Aside from a one week title loss to Zangief, King Rasta has been the dominant figure in the SMWA Television Title scene for the past year, holding it a total of three times.   He's fought back almost every challenge imaginable and has come up big many times.
West Bronco has not lost a singles match since August of this year.   And ever since beating Ron Grayson at Back Street Brawl, most of his matches haven't even been close.   If anybody could take Rasta, it would be West.
Whatever the result, we were bound to see a great match.

Rasta and Bronco stood nose to nose in the centre of the ring as the referee rang the bell.   A staredown turned to shoves and Bronco took the first shot with a left hook.   Rasta responded with a right and the fight was on.   Rasta overpowered the Arizonan, taking him down with a big kneelift.   He whipped Bronco into the corner, but West was able to come out of the corner with a big lariat.   He then pounded Rasta down with repeated punches and put him on his back with a fall away slam.   Bronco then applied a spinning toe hold in hopes of taking Rasta's legs away from him, making it more difficult for him to execute the Dread Lock Drop.   Rasta broke the hold by kicking Bronco outside.   The brawl continued.
Bronco attempted another lariat, but Rasta ducked this one and nailed Bronco with a lariat of his own.   He took Bronco to the timekeepers table and rammed him into the ring bell before delivering a vertical suplex outside.   Rasta then rolled Bronco back in, hitting him with a backbreaker.   He then climbed to the second rope to deliver a splash.   Bronco moved out of the way and Rasta hit nothing but mat.   Bronco dropped a knee and went for the pin.   He got a two count.
The match again spilled outside, a frying pan provided by a fan being the weapon of choice in this salvo.   Rasta regained the momentum as the action spilled back into the ring.
The crowd then exploded into a chorus of boos as Grant Redstone came down to ringside.   Rasta was temporarily distracted by the appearance of "Biz Oz" and that gave Bronco a chance to take control.   He hit Rasta with a wicked enzuilariato and took control, keeping the action on the mat.
In the mean time, Redstone was getting ever closer to Bobby the Monkey.   Bobby noticed and started to run away, but Redstone was unrelenting.   He chased Bobby down and eventually got his hands on the monkey.   Restraining the little chimp, Redstone began to make his way back to the dressing room.
Rasta was being held down by Bronco and Redstone was escaping with his friend!
Not for long.   Once again, out of nowhere, Shadow Maxx emerged.   He planted a big kick in the face of Redstone, who fell to the ground, dropping Bobby.   Maxx picked up the fallen monkey.
Bobby went nuts!   Maxx, under the control and threats of Saul Masters, had tortured Bobby repeatedly throughout the summer.   Bobby was scared to death!
In the ring, Rasta had broken a Bronco headlock with a big back suplex.   He heard Bobby's screams and turned his attention to the aisle, where he saw Maxx holding Bobby.   Maxx immediately dropped the monkey and nodded at Rasta.
Before Rasta could even turn around, Bronco had connected with a knee to the back.   He then positioned Rasta for the Tombstone piledriver.   But Rasta wasn't ready.   Using all of his strength, he reversed the hold.
      But that wouldn't be enough.
As Bronco hung upside down, he too began to kick.   Eventually, he once again found himself in control, reversing Rasta's reversal!   Bronco drove Rasta's head into the mat with the Tombstone.   He went for the cover.

(West Bronco won the SMWA Television Title.)

NEW TV CHAMPION!!!   West Bronco had beaten King Rasta to become the new SMWA Television champion!   Unbelievable.
As Bronco grabbed his belt, Rasta slid outside the ring to Bobby.   Shadow Maxx was gone and Grant Redstone had already made his way to the back.   Rasta grabbed a still terrified Bobby and made his way back to the dressing room.
&nb sp;     We have a new Television Champion.   And Maxx and Redstone have Hell to pay!

Before we went to commercial, we saw Extinct in his wrestling gear once more.   His match against a member of Major Force would be coming up next.

We came back from commercial and Saul Masters was standing in the ring with a microphone.

"Well, Extinct, this is too intriguing a chance to pass up.   You want a member of Major Force tonight?   Even though you know that, at your age, you couldn't beat a single one of us, you issue that sort of a challenge?   Well, Extinct, we are more than happy to oblige.   And who better to destroy the leader of the Doomsday Hunters than the man who did more to destroy Doomsday than Mike Haggar or anybody else ever could."

"Extinct, get ready to see a Ghost!"

Special Challenge Match
Extinct vs Ghost

Extinct came down to the ring alone.   It looked like he was willing to do this cleanly, one on one.   For what reason, nobody knew, but Extinct was ready to take it to The Pale Rider himself.   Extinct was willing to face Ghost.
      Not cleanly, though...

Before the match could even start, Extinct goaded Saul Masters into an argument, distracting the referee for a split second.   But that was all the Master of the Brass Knuckles Match needed.   He slipped on a pair of his famous knucks and clocked Ghost in the side of the head.   Ghost wasn't out, but he certainly was staggered.   Extinct nailed him with another shot before he hid the knucks in his army pants.   The referee turned around, only to see Ghost on the mat with Extinct going for the win.   He made the count.
      1...
              2...
                      NO!   Ghost kicked out!
Extinct wasn't worried, though.   He kept up the assault on Ghost.   He took him out with a Hotshot and as Ghost staggered off of the ropes, took him down with a neckbreaker.   Extinct then proceeded to batter Ghost with knees, an offence which was hard to figure out until we remembered where Extinct had put his pair of knucks.
In a pocket right above his right knee.
Extinct continued to beat Ghost down, making one of the most terrifying forces in the SMWA look like a jobber.   The man who had beaten Doomsday was being schooled by one of the smartest men in wrestling.
Looking to end it, Extinct put Ghost on the turnbuckles, ready to deliver a superplex.
Ghost began to fight back.   He planted punch after punch into Extinct's ribs.   Extinct was about to fall of the buckles when Ghost caught him and, in one motion, put him on his shoulders and delivered a TOP ROPE DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!!!   Both men lay prone on the mat, Ghost being the first to move as he rolled outside.
As Saul Masters came to help Ghost, Doomsday ran out from the back.   He clobbered Masters with a stiff lariat and then hit Ghost with a big splash.   The ref saw it and called the match.
Or rather, he called the set up.

Ghost defeated Extinct by disqualification in 0:05:24.
Rating: * 3/4

The Philadelphia X-Treme Machine came out and helped Doomsday beat on Ghost.   But the beating was short lived, as Major Force stormed the ringside area seconds later.   Masters had Grater and Skarzz at the ready in case a set up did take place.
Slash Battle took Ghost.   Grater had Burnz.   But everybody in the arena was watching as the two massive monsters, Skarzz and Doomsday, traded punches in the aisle, neither man giving an inch.   Frantically, Extinct and Masters got in between these two.   Perhaps neither man wanted his charge to face the destructive fury of the other.   But Extinct and Masters were able to calm the monsters down, each man saying "Not Now".
We went to commercial as this bizarre stand-off continued.

SMWA Luck of the Draw Match

There have been some good ones, there have been some bad ones and there have been some that should never have taken place.   This might have been one of them.
The first man who's name was called was Nitro, the sadistic pyromaniac from Chicago who walked out blowtorch blazing.   Nitro is a fine brawler who can put on a good match if paired up with a good worker.
He was paired up with a good worker all right.   A tired worker, but a good one.
The crowd was quite surprised as Johnny Proton, the same Johnny Proton who had gone thirty minutes to earn a shot at the Cruiserweight Title earlier tonight, walked down to the ring.   Even more shockingly, it looked like he was ready to go!
This was going to be interesting.

Proton simply dominated the early stages of this match.   He dazzled Nitro by out wrestling him.   The plodding Nitro couldn't keep up with the speedy Proton.   A flying elbow drop early almost ended the match.   Then, to the surprise of everybody, Proton was able to get the larger Nitro up in a power bomb and drop him to the match.
But the move took its toll on Proton as well.   Already tired from his earlier match, Proton staggered back into the ropes for a split second.   Determined to beat Nitro, however, Proton went outside to deliver a springboard move on Nitro.
Nitro stood up and Proton stood on the top rope.   But he lost his footing and landed in the ring, not even coming close to hitting Nitro.   Nitro seized the opportunity.   He took a step back, waited for Proton to get up and levelled him with the Nitro Flash.   That was all for a tired out Proton.

SMWA Luck of the Draw Match
Nitro pinned Johnny Proton with the Nitro Flash in 0:04:31.
Rating: **

The result was an upset, but considering what Proton had went through earlier in the night, it wasn't unexpected.   The kid put up a great fight.   Hopefully, he'll be all right to wrestle for the Cruiserweight Title at Thanksgiving Thunder.   Even if he is hurt, you'd have to hit him with a brick to keep this kid down.

We took our final commercial break and returned for our...

MAIN EVENT
"Tricky" Rick Clark
vs
The Flying Scotsman

Rick Clark hates Terry Sky.   Understandable, since it was Sky who was responsible for Clark losing the sight in his right eye.   When Terry Sky thwarted the interference of Simply the Best during Ron Grayson's match with Mike Haggar on Monday Night Massacre (incidentally, StB were helping Sky's stablemate, Grayson), Clark once again saw red.   He wanted a member of Sky Entertainment Ltd. in the worst way.
He got the Flying Scotsman.   The SMWA Toughman Champion is always up for the challenge.   But could he beat the man who, after Thursday night, could be the SMWA Heavyweight Champion of the World?
We were about to find out.

******** cue Ring Announcer ********

RA: Ladies and Gentlemen, this contest is our Main Event for this evening.   It is scheduled for one fall with television time remaining.

******** cue Highland Hell's theme ********

RA:   First... From Cumbernauld, Scotland...   Weighing in at two hundred and seventy five pounds.... He is the current SMWA Toughman Champion...   "SexyScots"   The Flying Scotsman!!!

The women love him, the men hate him, but all respect him, as the "Toughest Man in the SMWA", as he's been calling himself, made his way to the ring.   Dancing a little dance, the Scotsman flipped his kilt up at a few women on his way to the ring.   Thank God Jack McCullough has told him that he has to wear something underneath the kilt.   Though Scots often complains that he's not "wrestling like a true Scotsman", we're all breathing a sigh of relief.

******** cue Simply the Best's "Asshole" Theme ********

RA:   His opponent... From Atlanta, Georgia... Weighing in at two hundred and twenty seven pounds... He is a member of Simply the Best...   He is an a$$hole and darn proud of it... He wishes to be introduced as the future SMWA Heavyweight Champion of the World!!!...   "Tricky" Rick Clark!!!

Funny thing about Clark and StB.   Though they are self professed *jerks*, they have been getting a lot of fan support in some cities.   Though most fans are still booing StB, you could hear a smattering of cheers in the crowd as "Tricky" made his way to the ring.

Both men rank about equally in the skill department.   The Scotsman can fly, but Clark is much faster.   Scots has the edge in power and a definite advantage if the match turns in to a brawl.   But Clark is a sneaky one.   He'll take the win any way he can get it.
This looks to be a great match as two wise-cracking, self-centred egomaniacs would do battle.

Before the match began, The Scotsman made his way out of the ring to confront a fan who had brought a sign saying "How can he be 'Flying' if he can't get off the ground".   The sign had a picture of the Scotsman with his *groin* circled.   Scots grabbed the sign, tore it up, flashed his kilt at the man and started to get back in the ring.
Clark's feet connected with his jaw and the match was underway on the outside.
Clark quickly climbed onto the apron and flattened the Scotsman with a flying lariat.   He then picked SexyScots up and whipped him between the guardrails and the ringsteps repeatedly.   Clark then took the Scotsman into the ring where he floored him with a superkick.   Taking it to the mat, Clark locked on a vicious half crab and pulled back, Scotsman barely getting to the ropes.   Clark continued his offence, climbing up to the top ropes to finish it.   He flew off with a beautiful cross body press and connected square in the Scotsman's chest.
Problem was, the Scotsman didn't move.   In fact, he simply caught Clark and nailed him with a Michinoku Driver!!!
This match was too crazy to call.   Scotsman took Clark down with a DVD, but seconds later Clark had the Scotsman on the mat after a DDT.   The action went back and forth and back and forth.   It took a definite turn in the favour of the Scotsman, however, when Clark was hit with a low blow.   Scotsman then wrapped up Tricky in the Scottish Breaker.   In the middle of the ring, it didn't look like Tricky had enough tricks to win this match.
He didn't need them.   The Scotsman kept putting on the pressure, but Clark wouldn't give.   Instead, he somehow managed to wiggle himself enough to get one of his arms pushing off of the canvas.   He managed to roll the Scottish breaker onto its side, causing the Scotsman to lose whatever advantages gravity gave him.   Frustrated, Scots released the hold and tossed Clark outside to the broadcast table.
As the Scotsman approached, Clark picked up a TV monitor and smashed it into the chest of the Scotsman.   He then took Scots' head into the table and went for an irish whip into the guardrail.   Scots reversed and Clark hit the steel.   Then he met the Scotsman's boot as he was floored by a vicious Yakuza Kick.
Scots tossed Clark back into the ring and slammed him to the mat.   Climbing the ropes, the Scotsman hit him with a split legged moonsault.   He went for the cover.
      1..
              2..
NO!   Clark escaped, but barely.   Scots went up top to try to hit the move again, but this time Clark got his knees up in defines.
Both men struggled to their feet, Clark being the first up.   He kicked the Scotsman in the stomach and went for the Sky-Driver.   Scotsman countered with a small package.
      1..
              2..
NO!!! Again, Clark kicks out!   He stormed to his feet once more, again kicked the Scotsman and this time connected.   He lifted up Scots for the Sky-Driver and, as his kilt was up for all to see, drove him down into the mat.   It was a matter of counting to three after all that was finished.

Rick Clark pinned The Flying Scotsman with the Sky-Driver in 0:11:26.
Rating: **** 1/4

The Scotsman was still out on the mat while Clark grabbed a microphone.

"Nice rep, Sky.   Looks to me like you want to start this war again.   Well, I've moved on to bigger and better things, but just to get you off of my back, let's go one more time on Monday.   You bring the World Chump, Mike Haggar, and put him in your corner.   Tag him if you want, cause I'll beat him anyway at Thunder.   I'll bring a partner and, as only Simply the Best can do, we will kick your Richie Rich ass all the way home.   You think the hurt I put on the Flaccid Scotsman was bad?   You wait till Monday."

The challenge has been made!   Clark and a member of Simply the Best against Mike Haggar and Terry Sky???   WOW!!! What a big match before Thanksgiving Thunder.
