It's going to be a big Saturday Night.
Cody Simmons will take on Dark Angel in a Toughman Match.
The leader of the Raiders, "Titan" Tim Redbury, defends his North American Title against the newest member of Sky Entertainment Ltd., Clepto the Clown.
Fuerza Dragon will defend the SMWA Tag Team Titles against the red-hot team of El Stingray and Ultimate Spider.
King Rasta defends his Television Title against Clone, and Kodiak Marmoset is in the building because in our main event, Kodiak Marmoset will face off against the man who lost to Clone last week via DQ, The Siberian Bear Crusher, ZANGIEF!!!

    Let's get to the action.

SMWA Toughman Contest
Cody Simmons vs Dark Angel

Cody was giving up one foot and one hundred pounds in this match.  Dark Angel was giving up years of experience fighting on the streets.  Who would prevail?  Well, Cody had some thoughts on that...and a few other things.  With Jerry Kent standing in his corner, Cody took the mic.

"Angel boy, don't worry.  I'll be beating you into the ground soon enough.  But first, I want to say something to Jack Slade:  Damn, we whooped your ass bad on Monday, buddy.  However, all is not rosy.  Some people are telling me that you threw that fight.  Well, Jack, if I was you, and I had to face me and the rest of Simply the Best, I would have laid down myself.  You have nothing to be ashamed of.  Well, not much."
"And a quick message to Jessica.  Jess, you know now who the real man is.  So while you're at home, crying because your boyfriend dumped you, just remember that you can always get cozy with Cody."

The crowd burst into a chorus of boos and then the chant of "asshole" started up once more.  Jerry Kent took the mic.

"Cody, I don't know if you can hear it, but we've got ten thousand people calling you an asshole!"

Cody smiled.  "I'd tell them all to suck it, but then Jessica might get jealous.  Anyway, on to this little session here.  As you fans know, I'm quite the boxer.  The Real Deal of the SMWA, and I've still got both ears, thank you very much.  But because of Slade, I got hurt and couldn't fight in this whole Toughman Contest.  Well, just to erase any doubts about who the true SMWA Toughman is, I'm going to make this Angel fall.  Let's go, big boy."

    And the match was on

    Round One
Let's just say Dark Angel was none too happy about Cody's speech earlier.  Cody came in jabbing, but Angel simply grabbed Cody's arm and threw him down to the mat hard.  Cody backpeddaled to his corner, where Kent gave some quick words of encouragement.  Cody rushed back into the middle of the ring where Angel tackled him with a spear.  The round ended with the "Real Deal" down  10-0

    Round Two
Cody smartened up.  He stayed out of Angel's reach, dodging his attempts at grabs, peppering him with shots as he went.  The round ended with Angel on the ropes in obvious trouble.  Cody gave Kent a quick look, knowing he had this all wrapped up.

    Round Three
More of the same, only this time, Cody seemed to be backing off whenever he had Angel in trouble.  Angel would be wobbling in the middle of the ring, almost ready to go down, but Cody would just back off and start taunting.  The match ended with Angel still vertical but going down fast.

    Round Four
Embarrasing.  Angel couldn't even land a punch.  As the round came to a close, Angel went for a massive haymaker.  It missed.  Cody returned to his corner, looked straight at the cameraman and said "A little less than twenty seconds".

    Round Five
Cody boxed like we all knew he could and Angel went down to Cody's pattented Dead End uppercut combo.

An awful showing for Dark Angel, who had to be helped from the ring by his Sky Entertainment stablemate, Mauling Bear.
Cody stood in the ring, basked in the spotlight, did a little shadowboxing and returned to the back.  He had just destroyed a giant.

Nord Fullstrom vs Blackhook

Nord Fullstrom has been on a slide as of late while the ever improving Blackhook is looking for that big win to put him in the thick of the pack.  Both men need a win in this match to gain some momentum.

Blackhook started off fast, keeping Nord Fullstrom off balance with a fast paced offense.  A bulldog was followed by a big fistdrop, leading to an early near fall.  Blackhook kept up the offense, using his superior mat skills to wear big Nord down.
Fullstrom was just about done putting up with it.
Blackhook went for a DDT, but Nord went below the belt and felled the Scourge of the Squared Cirlce.  Picking 'Hook off of the mat, Nord hit a vicious double underhook powerbomb and took control.
Fullstrom brawled his way through the rest of the match until 'Hook was able to lock on a sleeperhold.  Nord wasn't even close to going out and he counted with a big jawbreaker.  Blackhook staggered back but then charged Nord with a lariat.  Nord ducked and hit a beautiful spinebuster.  Blackhook slowly got to his feet only to be taken down with a choke slam and flattened by a leg drop.  A groggy Blackhook rose to his feet as Nord Fullstrom backed into the corner.
Nord charged at Blackhook and connected with the Nordic Hammer.  The rest was elementary, Dear Watson.

Nord Fullstrom pinned Blackhook after the Nordic Hammer in 0:08:13.

Fullstrom gets back on track with a win here tonight.

SMWA World Tag Team Title Match
Fuerza Dragon (c) vs El Stingray & Ultimate Spider

Fuerza Dragon have not had the most challenging Tag Team Title reign as of yet.  They beat the PXM to win the titles, retained them by DQ in a rematch and have wrestled a few house shows.   The thus-far undefeated Raiders team of El Stingray and Ultimate Spider, an excititing duo some fans have taken to calling the Air Raiders, should provide a real test for Hielo and Fuego.

Spider and Dragon de Hielo started the match off.  The two flew around each other, trying to hit various lucha moves.  Spider connected first, hitting Hielo with a beautiful sit-down power bomb.  Heilo didn't stay down for long, however, countering a side headlock with a vicious backdrop driver.  The tag was made to Fuego, who nailed Spider with a springboard elbow as Hielo whipped Spider towards him.  Looking to go for an early win, Fuego went for his Dragon Fire.  Stingray yanked on the ropes and Fuego landed spread eagled on the top.
Fuego started to jaw with Stingray who responded with a dropkick.  Fuego staggered back into and Ultimate Spider crucifix.
    1
        2...
NO!  We were close, but Fuerza Dragon still had a lot left in them.  Heilo charged the ring and leveled Spider with a superkick.  The two kept up their vicious assault of Spider, keeping Stingray completely out of the ring.  Hielo tagged in and attempted a back suplex, but Spider flipped over his back and over the ropes.  He then jumped off the top and hit a beautiful springboard dropkick.  But before he could tag, Fuego was in the ring and Fuerza Dragon nearly took the win with a double brainbuster.
Hielo decided it was time to end it.  He locked on the Freezing Claw, but Spider was too close to the ropes.  And Hielo wouldn't let go until Stingray springboarded off of the ropes and hit a beautiful enzuigiri, knocking Hielo senseless and forcing him to release the hold.    Spider crawled to his corner and made the tag!
Stingray came into the ring on fire.  He took on both members of Fuerza Dragon, bringing them both to the mat with two beautiful Frankensteiners.  Spider came back in the ring and joined the assault.  Fuerza Dragon were thrown outside and Stingray and Spider hit a beautifully synchronized double tope suicida.  Taking their opponents back inside, the match became a brawl.
Spider took control on Fuego, flooring him with a springboard axhandle.  He then went for a superkick, but Fuego ducked.  He kicked Spider in the stomach and excecuted a brain buster.  And before Stingray knew what was happening, Fuego had hit the Dragon Fire!

Fuerza Dragon defeated The Raiders (El Stingray and Ultimate Spider) when Fuego pinned Spider with the Dragon Fire in 0:18:23. Rating: *** 3/4
(Fuerza Dragon retained the SMWA World Tag Team Titles.)

Fuerza Dragon retained their titles and, frankly, made it look easy.  It's back to the drawing board for El Stingray and Ultimate Spider.

Shadow Maxx vs The Actor w/Clone

As The Actor and Clone made their way down to the ring, Kodiak Marmoset jumped out of the dressing room and charged at Clone.  The Actor had his match with Shadow Maxx to deal with, but Clone and Kodiak brawled into the back of the arena.  At least Maxx vs Actor would be one on one - we hope.

Maxx started the match off by brawling his smaller opponent into the ground.  He went for a premature kill by setting the Actor up on the turnbuckles, though.  Actor hit Maxx with a front superplex and then hit a somersault legdrop for an early two count.  The man from Hollywood was in control, keeping the more powerful Maxx off his feet.  After a DDT, Actor then applied the Take Four, but Maxx was able to get to the ropes.  Actor then hit a big vertical suplex and climbed the top ropes.
Maxx got there first.  He nailed the Actor in the stomach, causing him to fall.  Maxx then hit a massive DDT from the top rope.  A standing moonsault nearly gave Maxx the match.  Maxx continued to dominate with a vicious power bomb and came close to a win with a German suplex.  Maxx was tossing the Actor around the ring and there was no Clone to bail the Actor out.  Maxx slammed Actor outside and then ran off the apron with a shooting star press.
Actor rolled out of the way and Maxx hit the ground hard. Seeing an opportunity to do some major damage, The Actor set up a table and set Maxx on top.  Climbing on the second turnbuckle, the Actor went for a splash.
Maxx moved and the Actor crashed through the table.  Maxx knew it was time for the kill.  He rolled Actor into the ring and connected with the Dark Bomb.  That was all.

Shadow Maxx pinned The Actor with the Dark Bomb in 0:13:57.
Rating: **** 1/4

Maxx takes a big win, building up momentum for his triangle match at Thanksgiving Thunder.

In the back, officials and a few wrestlers were still trying to separate Kodiak and Clone.  Each man has a big match tonight.  Will either one be able to concentrate?

The California Kid vs "The Teddy Bear of Destruction" Rokuru

One man came to the ring wielding a surfboard, yelling "Surf's Up!".  The other was carrying a giant stuffed panda - a stuffed panda he was talking to.  These weren't two normal wrestlers, but they could both go.

Cal and Rokuru started the match fairly slowly, trading various locks and counters.  It was a feeling out process, proving that both of these odd individuals knew what they were doing inside of that ring.  Each man then took turns hitting big moves.  Rokuru connected with a DDT, but Kid quickly responded with a Destiny Hammer.  A spinebuster by Rokuru was countered with an inside cradle.  Rokuru went for a cartwheel kick, but the Kid sidestepped and came off the middle ropes with a moonsault.  Rokuru hit a Yakuza kick which knocked the Kid from the air.
Rokuru, realizing he had done a good thing, took the time to stand in the ring and give himself a big hug.  The Kid wasn't out yet, though, and he nearly took the match with a roll-up.
The rest of the match moved in the same back and forth fashion, but the momentum took it's final turn when the action spilled outside.  The Kid went for a piledriver, but Rokuru hit his Roku Driver modified backdrop as a counter.  Throwing the Kid inside, Rokuru went for a flying butt splash.  The Kid got a knee up and Rokuru was down in a lot of pain.  Wasting no time, the Kid grabbed Rokuru's nose and hit the California Death Grip!
Rokuru struggled and screamed and even began to cry.  But he kept his eyes focused on Teddy and refused to give up.  Rokuru kicked the Kid in the shin and broke the hold.  Running behind him, he hit an enzuilariato.  As the Kid got up, Rokuru leveled him with a wicked flying forearm shot.  The win went to the Teddy Bear of Destruction.

Rokuru pinned The California Kid after a flying forearm in 0:15:08.
Rating: *** 1/4

Rokuru grabbed Teddy and gave him a big hug as he left the ring.  These two are goofy, but they put on quite the encounter.  These two cruiserweights got skill.

Raiders vs Sky Entertainment Ltd.
SMWA North American Title Match
"Titan" Tim Redbury (c) vs Clepto the Clown

The leader of the Raiders against...a clown.  A talented clown.  A violent clown.  But still, at the end of the day, Clepto was a clown.  He was also Ron Grayson's newest recruit as Sky Entertainment try to shore up their team against the Raiders for the big Rolling Thunder match at Thanksgiving Thunder.

Much to the surprise of everybody, Clepto took the early advantage in this match.  He peppered Titan with dropkicks and shots to the knee.  He was trying to take the Big Brit down and it was working beautifully.  After an Oriental Spike sleeper was applied, it looked like we would have a new North American Champion.  And it would be a CLOWN!
Titan had other plans.  He fought out of the move and floored Clepto with a side Russian legsweep.  After pounding on Clepto for a bit, Titan locked on a hangman.  Clepto booted Titan in the chin and, on his way down, hit a beautiful Diamond Cutter.
In an attempt to end the match, Clepto climbed up top and hit a beautiful cross body press.  Unfortunately, Titan would not go down.  He slammed Clepto over the ropes and to the floor.
Titan stepped over the top ropes to go outside, but Clepto grabbed his leg, making his exit a bit more painful.  Clepto peppered his Titanic opponent with punches and kicks until Titan had enough.  He grabbed Clepto's face and hit a Claw Slam through the announcers table.  Clepto was out.
Titan rolled the Clown into the ring to finish him off.  He hit one more Claw Slam and hooked the leg.

A great match, but one Clepto could have done without.  After the second Claw Slam, Clepto was not getting up.  Medical attendants came down to the ring and loaded the unconscious clown onto a stretcher.  One attendant tried to check Clepto's pulse but was shocked by a joy buzzer under Clepto's sleve.
Clepto was hurt and unconscious, but he was still playing jokes.  But from the way he looked, that joy buzzer might have been the last joke Clepto would ever play.

"The Rebel" Jerry Kent vs "Iron" Rod Emerson

Two "old-timers" would face off here tonight.  Kent and Emerson had a brief feud going back when Emerson was a rookie in the eighties.  Emerson even came close to dethroning the then World Champion Kent a few times.  But times have changed.  Kent is now the elder statesman of the red-hot Simply the Best, while Emerson is teamed with Andrew Marshall as a member of Steelworks.
But for nostalgia buffs, there was nothing better than a Kent vs Emerson match.

The contest started with an exchange of holds.  Even though they've fought many a time, Kent and Emerson still weren't going to rush into this match.  After about a minute, it looked like Emerson had control when he hit a gutwrench suplex.  Kent had different ideas, though, taking Emerson down with a Russian legsweep.  The match quickly spilled outside and the two vets went HARDCORE!
Anything that wasn't nailed down became a weapon.  The ring bell, chairs, electrical cord.  Emerson and Kent were beating each other bloody, but neither man seemed to care.  It was just like old times for them.
The match went back inside and the back and forth wrestling began again.  Each man exchanged two counts on various roll-ups.  Emerson nearly bent Kent in half with a back breaker, but Kent was able to retaliate with a great belly-to-belly suplex which netted him a two count.  Kent then locked on a headlock but found himself flat on his back, courtesy of a back suplex.  Emerson took control.  He slingshotted Kent to the corner and then hit him with a lariat to the back of the head.  He then locked Kent in a double chickenwing and tried to get the submission.  Somehow, Kent got to the ropes.
Emerson wouldn't let go of the hold.  Finally, the referee pried him off of Kent.  In that time, Kent reached into his trunks and pulled out a pair of knucks.  He clocked Emerson, unbeknownst to the ref, and put the knucks back in his trunks.  A groggy Emerson got up but was hit with the Reb-Driver.  That was all she wrote.

Jerry Kent pinned Rod Emerson with the Reb-driver in 0:13:18.

Well, the same strategy that had worked years ago had worked this night.  It's hard to teach old dogs new tricks.  Kent continued the StB hot streak.

SMWA Television Title Match
King Rasta (c) w/Bobby the Monkey vs Clone w/The Actor

A week ago, Clone gained a DQ win over then TV Champion Zangief when Kodiak Marmoset attacked Clone.  We now have the rematch and Kodiak is in the building, getting ready to face off against Zangief.  Would his focus stay on that match?

This match was a brawl from the start.  It was in the ring for about thirty seconds before it spilled outside.  The ref tried to bring some order back into the match but was unsuccesful.  Rasta hit Clone with a nasty chair shot, but Clone countered when he dropped Rasta onto a chair from Gorilla press position.  This match wasn't pretty by any standards, but the ref was willing to let it go - until Kodiak got involed.
Running to ringside, Kodiak floored The Actor with a lariat before charging at Clone.  He tried to hit the Finisher, but Clone ducked and Rasta caught Kodiak's boot in his face.  The ref called for the bell.

King Rasta defeated Clone by disqualification in 0:02:24.
Rating: **
(King Rasta retained the SMWA Television Title.)

Clone saw Kodiak and got the hell out of dodge.  But before Kodiak could even give chase, he was tripped when a chain hit his leg.
Shadow Maxx had arrived.  And he was attacking Kodiak.
Kodiak got beat down with the chain as Rasta regained his senses.  The first thing he saw when he got up was his nemesis attacking the man who had just kicked him in the teeth.  Not quite sure what was happening, a groggy Rasta yelled something at Maxx.  Maxx looked at Rasta and then disappeared through the crowd.
Maxx is helping Rasta out, weeks before they will face off at Thanksgiving Thunder.  And only Maxx knows why.

SMWA Luck of the Draw Match

Well, this week's Luck of the Draw match would certainly be better than last weeks.
In one corner, we had one half of the dominant team of Highland Hell.  The young man who surprised everybody with a big win over Judgement a few years ago and has been improving ever since.  That man was "Freedom" Angus Wallace.
In the other corner was one of the five SMWA New Blood.  Nobody has pinned him yet.  The Lord of the Darkness was on the other side of the ring.  Teioh was ready.

Teioh was in deep early in the match.  Angus used his considerable strength advantage to crush his smaller opponent.  Within the first two minutes, Teioh found himself on the mat, courtesy of the Scottish Slam.  A minute and a half later, he was put through a table courtesy of Angus' For William.  Teioh was in trouble.  But he wasn't going down.
As Angus charged at Teioh in the corner, the Lord of the Darkness hit a wicked Yakuza Kick that brought Angus down.  Teioh then measured each move.  Thrust kicks, moonsaults, a deadly Toka slam.  Teioh was systematically dismantling his larger opponent.
But some one - or some thing - in the arena wasn't going to let that happen.
During Teioh's domination, the lights in the arena went out.  Then, walking down the aisle, we saw him.  The mysterious "light man".  He climbed into the ring and then disappeared in a blinding flash.  Teioh was down.
The lights came back up and Angus took brief control.  He had been on the mat, almost unconscious when the flash hit.  His eyes were closed.  He picked up the blinded Teioh and went for the cover.
    No count.
The referee was in the corner, blinded as well.  He couldn't see Angus making the cover.  Zists, who could see perfectly, took it upon himself to take control.  He smacked Angus over the head with his sacred staff.  Teioh regained his senses and climbed the ropes.  He hit the Dark Moon and went for the cover.
The referee's vision was still foggy, but he could see well enough to count to three.

Luck of the Draw Match
Teioh pinned Angus Wallace with the Dark Moon in 0:12:16.
Rating: **

This "light man" had inadvertently won Teioh the match.  But that still doesn't change the fact that it was Teioh he was gunning for.  And it still doesn't change the fact that he is still out there, still gunning.
    But who is he?

Main Event
Zangief vs Kodiak Marmoset

Ring Announcer:  Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall with TV Time remaining.

******** cue Kodiak's music ********

RA: Introducing first.... From Mercer, Pennslyvania.... Weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds.... Kodiak Marmoset!!!

A mixed reaction at best to Kodiak.  Some fans are still sticking by him in this time of confusion, but others are tired of his whinning and temper tantrums.

******** cue Zangief's music ********

RA: And his opponent.... From Siberia... Weighing in at three hundred and eight pounds.... "The Siberian Bear Crusher".... ZANGIEF!!!

Huge pop!  The fans still love the heroic Russian.  It seems like they always will.  And as long as Chad Hillsman is opposing him, it seems like they just might cheer Zangief forever.

Kodiak cost Zangief his match with Clone last week via DQ.  It was all a part of Kodiak's vendetta to destroy Clone once and for all.  Zangief didn't seem too sympathetic to that quest.  This week, he would show Clone just what happens when you cost the Siberian Bear Crusher a match.

Zangief wanted to show Kodiak quickly.  The match turned into a brawl quickly.  And for the first time i n a long time, Kodiak did not come out on top.  The stronger, larger Zangief took control, beating Kodiak into a pulp.  He whipped Marmoset into the turnbuckle and charged in with a vicious avalanche.
Kodiak stuck both feet into Zangief's gut, doubling the big Russian over.  Then, from out of nowhere, Kodiak picked Zangief up and dropped him with a spinning power bomb.
The crowd was stunned.  Kodiak gave up around eighty pounds to Zangief  but was able to spin him around and drop him.
This match was looking a lot less like a mismatch.
Kodiak kept up the offense, hitting Zangief with a standing moonsault for a two count.  Kodiak grounded Zangief with a great combination of mat stategy and flying moves.  Zangief had a hard time regaining his footing.  He finally did when Kodiak flew off the top ropes and hit a flying cross body.  Using his tremendous power, Zangief countered the move and turned it into a Soviet suplex.  Zangief was back in control.
A big piledriver took Kodiak down a couple of inches.  Zangief continued to pound and kick on Kodiak after the move, locking on a sleeper in the hopes of finishing him off.  Kodiak struggled to get free but couldn't break Zangief's powerful grip.  Finally, Kodiak got to the ropes and, when Zangief let go, he took Zangief's throat to the top rope.  Kodiak quickly climbed up top and attempted a flying cross body press.   This time, Zangief rolled through and went for the pin.

        2...
Kickout!  Kodiak wasn't going down yet.
When the two wrestlers got up, Kodiak took Zangief down with a Frankensteiner.  He then attempted an octopus hold, but Zangief was too powerful.  He muscled his way out of the hold and hit a Tombstone.  Two seconds later, Kodiak had kicked out.
Zangief then whipped Kodiak to the ropes.  Kodiak reversed the whip and then ducked a Zangief clothesline.  As Zangief rebounded off of the ropes, Kodiak connected with THE FINISHER!  Quickly, he went for the cover.

            NO!!!  Zangief kicked out!!! Unbelievable!!!
Kodiak, figuring the third time was the charm, again went up top to deliver a flying cross body press.  This time, Zangief caught him and powerslammed him into the mat.  Kodiak got to his feet but was on his back after a big lariat.  Zangief hit a spinning piledriver and then gave the sign for the Siberian Bear Crusher.
Kodiak got up and Zangief grabbed him.  He ran with Kodiak a few feet before dropping him head first on the mat.  He went for the cover.

We went off the air with Kodiak standing in the middle of the ring, seething with anger.
