Let's get to the matches.
Teioh pinned Naga Yajito with the Dark Moon in
0:08:25.
Rating: ** 3/4
Up first was Teioh vs Naga Yajito, and Yajito came
closer than a lot of other wrestlers have to defeating the Lord of the
Darkness. Naga hit with a double arm piledriver, a tiger driver, a kneelock
submission and a double chinlock...and Teioh couldn't get off of his feet
long enough to mount an offense.
However, help for the Dark Lord came when Zists,
the manager, smacked Naga in the head with his staff while the ref wasn't
looking. Teioh then hit the Dark Moon for the win.
Again, there was that strange moment where a flash
of light was seen in the form of a man through Teioh's darkness. Still
NO clue as to what this could mean.
Shadow Maxx pinned Rokuru with the Dark Bomb in
0:08:54.
Rating: *** 1/4
Rokuru wrestled the MATCH OF HIS LIFE!!! He came
VERY close to beating Shadow Maxx on several occasions. "Teddy" was all
over Shadow Maxx from the beginning, flooring him with a DDT, a rolling
kick, a double chicken wing submission and a powerful back suplex.
The pudgy little guy from Taiwan erred, however,
when Maxx turned a brainbuster attempt into a Northern Light suplex for
a near fall. Maxx followed up with a flying cross body, a figure four,
a clover leaf and the Dark Bomb for the win.
After the win, Saul Masters entered the ring and congratulated his charge. Maxx gave no visible response, but the look of disgust that was often on his face wasn't there...what is happening with Maxx?
Andrew Marshall made Judgement submit to the torture
rack in 0:07:01.
Rating: *** 3/4
Again, JUDGEMENT of all people...he showed us the
form that made him a force in the SMWA years ago.
Marshall was all over Judgement at the beginning,
with suplex after power move after clothesline, keeping the big judge down.
Judgement did gain the advantage with a well placed gavel shot which allowed
him to control a lot of the rest of the match, but not all of it.
Both men exchanged their finishing moves, but neither
could get the pin, as their respective stables were at ringside for the
bout. Eventually, it came down to a tired Judgement going to a headlock.
Marshall reversed the move into a torture rack and got the win!
Still, Rokuru, then Judgement...what's the world
coming to?
Kodiak Marmoset pinned Spoon Man with the Finisher
in 0:00:58.
Rating: * 3/4
(Kodiak Marmoset retained the SMWA Cruiserweight
Title.)
Spoon Man. The Man of the Spoon. Stop
laughing.
He did a few nice moves, then grabbed his spoons
and started playing.
Kodiak hit him with the Finisher...that was the
end of Spoon Man.
Fuerza Dragon defeated Greed and Gluttony when
Fuego pinned Glutt with the Dragon Fire in 0:06:21.
Rating: * 3/4
Fuerza Dragon dominated Blackhook, had a little trouble
with Glutt, but were eventually able to hit him with a doulbe legsweep
and allow Dragon de Fuego to hit the Dragon Fire for the win.
The Dragons keep rolling along.
King Rasta pinned Lovechild with the Lou Thez
Head Chomp 0:14:08.
Rating: *** 1/4
(King Rasta retained the SMWA Television Title.)
King Rasta was in tough against Lovechild. The runner
up in the cruiserweight tournament was POed and wanted the TV title. He
overcame an early beating to lay it right to Rasta.
The match was very evenly fought until Rasta missed
a big flying butt bomb and Lovechild locked on the Love Hug...Rasta was
lucky to get to the ropes. But he did, and hit his pattented Lou Thez Head
Chomp for the win!
Simply the Best defeated Los Viajeros Dos Mil
when Clark pinned BC-2000 after a flying forearm in 0:10:17.
Rating: ***
Simply the Best was good enough to make short work of Los Viajeros. Double team moves like the dropkick/dragon suplex combo, or Kent hitting BC-2000 with a Russian legsweep while Clark followed with a flying fistdrop proved that Simply the Best were pretty damn good. A big flying forearm took BC-2000 down for the count.
Sky Entertainment Ltd. (Dark Angel, Kenji Hashimuto,
Lantern, and Mauling Bear) defeated The Raiders (El Stingray, Nord Fullstrom,
Teknos, and Ultimate Spider)
when Hashimuto made Stingray submit to a figure-four
sleeper in 0:09:06.
Rating: 3/4*
An eight man tag team match was fought VERY poorly by the Raiders, who seem to be a great strike force but a less than effective team. El Stingray and Ultimate Spider, the two smallest men in the match, were the only Raiders to get in the ring. When you consider that all of Sky Entertainment in the match, Lantern excepted, was within the three-hundred pound mark, the conclussion seemed forgone.
Luck of the Draw Match:
Rick Clark pinned IS-2000 with the Sky-Driver
in 0:17:26.
Rating: **** 1/4
In a wierd stroke of...something, the Luck of the
Draw match was a rematch from earlier tonight....sort of.
IS-2000 and Rick Clark faced off in what turned
out to be a great match. IS-2000 flew and flew and flew and nearly had
Clark on the mat with several moonsaults. However, it came down to the
very easy to see Vice Kick by IS-2000 missing, allowing Clark to hit the
Sky-Driver for the one, two, three. Simply the Best rolls along.
Stretcher Match
The Flying
Scotsman vs "Iron" Rod Emerson
Barely even a month after The
Flying Scotsman and Highland Hell put Emerson's partner, "Irish" Peter
McKee, out of wrestling with a brutal attack, the other half of the Dream
Team gets a chance for revenge.
Emerson came in blazing
with
a piledriver and some brass knucks. Nothing hugely exciting to call in
this match...it was just a brawl. The match was full of ringpost
shots, chairs and a HUGE waistlock suplex by Emerson through a table. But
the Scotsman would not go down and, reaching into his bag of dirty tricks,
pulled a small chain from his Kilt, wrapped it around his boot and hit
Emerson with a little Chin Music. Laying the former Dream Teamer on the
Stretcher, Scotsman took the bout and has won this battle.
Stretcher Match:
The Flying Scotsman defeated Rod Emerson in 0:10:10.
Rating: * 1/2
But the Raiders and Sky Entertainment still have scores to settle.
