We don't need no day off on Labour Day!!!

Let's get to the action.

The program started with a shot of Haggar and Zangief together, talking about tonight's big main event, where these two foes would face off against the newly formed team of Jerry Kent and Rick Clark, Simply the Best. While both men made no bones about their dislike for each other, they each promised to work together...for tonight.

Andrew Marshall defeated The Flying Scotsman by disqualification in 0:05:42.
Rating: * 1/2

The program started with Andrew Marshall vs The Flying Scotsman. Marshall struck on the bell, overpowering Scots at every turn. TFS wasn't able to do any flying, but he did go hardcore on the outside, nearly connecting with a flying headbutt while Marshall was on a table...of course, Marshall moved. OUCH!!!

A match with two sides so heated couldn't go without others getting involved. Rod Emerson again came down, attacking the Scotsman whenever he could. And Terry Sky was there to help the Scotsman...which ended up being his downfall when a chair shot was spotted by the referee...then the brawl started. Sky Entertainment came down and attacked Marshall, but were chased away by Titan, Stingray and Emerson. This war is FAR from over!

As evidenced by Terry Sky, who grabbed the mic post match. "Hey, Titan, you big idiot. You could have had something if you had stuck with me...now look at you. You may be the North American champion, but really, you're nothing. In fact, I don't even think we can call you the champ, because I BEAT you last week!!! The belt should be mine big boy! So I challenge YOU to a match for the title...Back Street Brawl...unless of course, you still want a little cash money for the belt?"

Titan pondered for a second, then grabbed a second mic "Okay, Terry...I'll hand this belt over to you IF you beat me...but if you don't, it'll cost you. You see, you beat me in a tag team match...that doesn't make you a singles contender. So, to spice up the offer, how about if I beat you, you PAY me that money you were offering? After all, you did ask if I wanted a little cash for the belt...how much are you willing to pay for a shot."

Sky was flabbergasted. "Um...I'll have to think about that...call me, we'll do lunch." And Sky Entertainment left.

Doomsday pinned Glutt with the Armageddon in 0:04:36.
Rating: -* 1/4

Doomsday needed ONE MOVE!!! Glutt was so terrified of Doomsday, he wouldn't lock up for the first few minutes. And when he did, nothing worked. ONE MOVE...the Armageddon. Then Extinct had something to say.

"Ghost, I don't know where you get off, but this is the most devastating force in the history of the SMWA...do you honestly believe that this is something you're ready for? Fine. If you're going to be so bloomin' stupid as to face off against this monster, I'm sure that if he had any emotion other than rage, he'd be happy to crush whatever little legend you've built around yourself...see you later, Ghost!"

Ron Grayson, The Actor, and Kenji Hashimuto defeated West Bronco, Nord Fullstrom, and Teknos when Grayson pinned Bronco with the Shooting Star Legdrop in 0:18:50.
Rating: ** 1/4

After the events of the past few weeks, outside interference being the order of the day, a six man tag match seemed to be the way to settle this thing for now. It was a spirited encounter with West Bronco and Ron Grayson seeing most of the action. Grayson took the advantage on West with a faceslam onto a chair, and Kenji Hashimuto connected with his Hashi-Moonsault for a near fall. For most of the match, Bronco was isolated and could not tag...but he got tagged by big steel chair shot to the back by The Actor, which set up a Shooting Star Legdrop and a loss.

The ring immediately exploded into a six-man brawl...which quickly swelled as SKY ENTERTAINMENT joined the side of Ron Grayson's team. And it became apparent, even after Titan's team came in, that Ron Grayson, The Actor and Kenji Hashimuto were now...

Well, Sky Entertainment Ltd., of course. Looks like Sky is franchising.

Lovechild made Ultimate Spider submit to the Love Hug in 0:12:14.
Rating: *** 1/2

Ultimate Spider had a horrible time in his match with Lovechild, who wouldn't let the young speedster get any offense going for the match, though Spider was helped by another Sky Entertainment member...Lantern. Lantern, still bitter about losing to Lovechild in the Cruiserweight Round Robin on Saturday, attacked him a few times during the match, but it wasn't enough. Lovechild locked on the LoveHug for the win.

Clepto the Clown was then seen dancing in the stands...right in time for the top contenders match between Skarzz and Grater and Highland Hell. Highland Hell had pissed Saul Masters off enough on Saturday for him to throw down this bout, and the SMWA championship committee had decided to make it a number on contenders match for the tag team titles, the winners getting a shot at Back Street Brawl. Any chance Clepto will interfere?

Number-One-Contenders-Match:
Highland Hell defeated Alexander "The Grater" and Skarzz when Hamish defeated Grater by disqualification in 0:14:12.
Rating: *

That DAMN clown!!!
Grater and Skarzz dominated as usual...but Clepto wasn't going to let it end fair. In a temporary shocker, Clepto attacked Hamish Mactavish during the match...shocking until it was realized that this cost Skarzz and Grater the bout by DQ, This gave Highland Hell a shot at Back Street Brawl. Clepto laughed hysterically, sprayed seltzer at Grater, then ran...Grater right behind him. That clown is DEAD!!!

As we were going to commercial, we caught up with Jack Slade. "Cody, you damn well know I'm just as much a streeter as you are. You think I can't go Falls-Count-Anywhere? I got a little twist for you!"

Detroit Street Fight Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
Jack Slade pinned Dark Angel with the Spiked DDT in 0:05:49.
Rating: * 3/4

Jack Slade, in counter to Cody Simmons' little display on Saturday, challenged Dark Angel to a FCA match...but started it early by jumping Angel backstage. Slade got an easy duke, and then challenged Cody to fight his way...a Detroit Street fight...FCA starting in an alley outside the arena.

"You wanna stay away from the ring, Codes? Hey, I'll kick your ass anyplace...I'm not too particular, you know. So, Detroit Street Fight, my hometown...let the ass kicking commence. Crunch Time, you lonely, lonely man."

And with that comment, Jack and Jessica left, hand in hand...Cody probably is tearing apart a room someplace.

Titan Tim Redbury defeated Grant Redstone by countout in 0:08:16.
Rating: *
(Titan Tim Redbury retained the SMWA North American Title.)

Grant Redstone vs Titan Tim...what potential! Redstone started early, hitting the big Titan with a DDT, but he tried to soon to use the Redstone suplex. Titan just shruged him off and went to work. Redstone went for football tackles, the big man just sidestep and Redstone went into the mat. Redstone was able to hit a thunderous Dragon suplex, but couldn't hold Titan for the pin. The match was starting to get competitive...until Saul Masters came to ringside.

Redstone had spilled outside, and Master approached him. "One-hundred feet", Masters kept on yelling. Redstone got up, approached Masters, but then backed off. He walked right out of a North American Title match.... Saul Masters is a despicable man.

Before we went to commercial, we found Jerry Kent and Rick Clark...not joking around, but getting prepared for a big match. We couldn't hear much, but there was a lot of talk about "switching places" and "taking what's ours". The main event should be an interesting one.

Main Event
Mike Haggar & Zangief vs Simply the Best (Rick Clark & Jerry Kent)

Unlike other main events where two men who don't like each other are forced to team, Haggar and Zangief came out together, ready for Clark and Kent. Haggar and Kent started the bout, and Haggar kicked some butt, overpowering Kent at each turn. Kent relied on his ring savy, however, and took control with some well placed shots to the ribs. A tag to Clark switched the tide, though, when Haggar hit with a big powerslam.

Zangief came in blazing on both of Simply the Best, levelling Kent with a thunderous Soviet suplex. Haggar came in with a Screwdriver with a near fall that Clark broke right up. Kent then tagged on the go, and Haggar was met by a BIG old superkick by Clark.

Clark and Kent then took turns double teaming Haggar, taking him to the mat with beautiful double-team takeovers, including a textbook double vertical suplex. Clark locked on his STF, and Haggar barely broke free before his lights almost went out.

The tide once again turned when Clark soared off of the top and Haggar hit another powerslam. Haggar struggled over to the corner and made the tag. Zangief hit the ring a house on fire, nearly knocking Simply the Best's heads off with lariats and crushing them with suplexes. Just as it looked like he was ready to finish the two off...Zangief TAGGED!!! Haggar looked surprised, but he and Zangief were able to put it together with some great double team moves. The highlight was a double team power bomb by both men. Things got confused as Zangief took on Kent and Haggar hooked up with Tricky Rick. Zangief was knocking Kent down repeatedly, and Haggar had beaten down Clark with body shot after body shot. Zangief went for a big lariat, but Kent ducked...and Haggar took the shot and was rolled up by Clark for the 1-2-3.

Simply the Best defeated Zangief and Mike Haggar when Clark pinned Haggar after a rolling reverse cradle into a bridge in 0:17:05.
Rating: *** 3/4

Clark and Kent left the ring quickly, laughing, as Zangief's face turned angry, realizing what he had done. Haggar got up and glowered at Zangief. Zangief stared back and gave the first shove. Then came the brawl. These two ring giants hit with monster truck force. Shot after shot, neither man going down, neither man giving way. Tonnes of officials ran into the ring, but they could hold these two back. The program ended with a sea of officials, a few wrestlers and security holding these two back.

Let's just say that the Haggar/Zangief partnership has officially disolved.
