Well, they formed a strong alliance on Saturday, but tonight, it was time for Mike Haggar and Zangief made it clear that their alliance was no more.

Zangief came out first for a face-to-face interview with Mike Haggar. Haggar was quick to follow. Surprisingly, the biggest story from this Saturday's Code Red, Biff Slamkovich, was nowhere in the arena tonight, nor were Gunloc and Chad Hillsman. But the interview began in earnest.

Before interviewer Nick Jones could even being with his questions, Zangief took the mic and immediately addressed Haggar.

"Mike, you did your job on Saturday. I thank you. But you know as vell as me zat it ends right there. No more teaming together, no more alliances. The only time I vant to zee you is at Back Street Brawl...and I won't be seeing you for long!"

Haggar grabbed the mic from Zangief. "Hh. Well, I'll agree with you on this, Zangief. I don't need to be in your corner anymore. Gunloc got his tail handed to him, and that's all I was there for. And I wouldn't dream of you being at all grateful for my help...even though it did look for a few times that Gunloc had you in that match."

Zangief was quick to retort. "Mike, zis is a side of you I've never seen before. You vere never going to throw in ze towel... you vant to beat me as much as I vant to beat you..."

"Well, Zangief, I hope you're ready to be disappointed!"

"With ze effort and old man like you vould give, I probably will be..."

"You don't want to wait, do you?"

Haggar and Zangief stood nose to nose in the middle of the ring as a voice came from the backstage area. It was Rick Clark, holding a mic, coming down to the ring.

"You two crazy guys. Hey, all the fans seem to be loving this heat between you two, but this macho posturing is making me sick, especially since I should be the one getting a match for that title. Hey Zangief! How come you never gave me a rematch for the belt, huh? Scared that you couldn't do the job twice? And old man Haggar. You remember the reason you don't have the World Title right now, right? Me, pal. And you know that I can do it again. You two live off your laurels, your fan support, your overblown reputations. The fact of the matter is that, Zangief, I could get that belt back from you any time...all I need is a match. And Mike, that's also all I'd need to prove to the World that I can beat you once more.

Zangief was quick to chime in "Clark, if it's going to shut you up, I'll give you a shot right now."

To which Haggar added "And you caught me once, Clark...I can prove that you'll never do it again."

Clark chimed right in. "Well, Zangief, I appreciate your offer, but as much as I'd love to pin your nasty shoulders to the mat tonight, I'd rather see you and old Mike wrestle for the title at BSB and beat the hell out of each other. But, Mike. Since you've already got the match at BSB and I have no desire to take it away from you, how would you feel about a little go tonight. You and me, gramps. How about it?"

Zangief looked a bit upset that he was passed over by Clark, but Haggar shot back at Clark before Zangief could say anything. "Fine, Tricky Rick. You want a piece of me, I've got more than enough to give around before BSB."

So tonight, in the Main Event, Mike Haggar will take on the man who dethroned him as World Champ months ago..."Tricky" Rick Clark.

Non-Title-Match:
Alexander "The Grater" and Skarzz defeated Los Viajeros Dos Mil when Skarzz pinned BC-2000 with the Skarring in 0:01:19.
Rating: * 1/2

Los Viajeros tried. They came out feet a fire, flying all over the former tag team champions of the World. But it didn't last long. Skarzz got a hold of BC-2000 and made short work of him as Grater pummeled IS-2000 on the outside.

As Grater and Skarzz stood victorious, Saul Masters grabbed the mic and gave it to the big man from Kentucky.

"First off, I aint no damn Sin. But I aint stupid. Me and Skarzz are a damn great team and if you think I'm gonna end something like that, you're all a bunch of five star morons. So, PXM, don't get too damn comfy with them tag titles...You never know where me and Skarzz are gonna nail your deformed little asses."

"And Clepto, ya red nosed freak! You probably got a damn good reason for doing what you did on Saturday, but I don't give a rat's ass what that reason is, since it cost me and Skarzz the tag titles. So you better watch your sorry self. I ever find your carnival ass, I'll stick that clown shoe so far up that you're freaky clown kids will be coughing up shoe leather!"

Masters then grabbed the mic. "Now, as you can see, this team is going nowhere. But right now, we have other concerns. For instance, I've heard rumours that a certain monkey-less wrestler is making his way back to the ring this Saturday. Well, Rasta, you come right on ahead. You think that being away from your little friend for a month is bad? Wait till you come back and you realize that you can't get anywhere near him, cause I hold all the power here, Rasta. You come back, Rasta. I'll make the last thirty days of hell you've been living through look like a Jane Austen novel. Wondering where your friend is right now? You just keep on wondering till you get back. And don't forget, just like I control Shadow Maxx, just like I can keep Grant Redstone at bay, I own you!"

And with that, two major forces in the SMWA left the ring. I feel sorry for Rasta, and Clepto is gonna die.

Ron Grayson and Nord Fullstrom battled to a double countout in 0:12:17.
Rating: 1/2*

Nord Fullstrom has been looking better and better. Who would have thought that he could hold the super talented Ron Grayson to a double countout. However, the match was marred by contreversy on both sides. As Grayson was making a return from an early power assault, his former teammate West Bronco came down to the ring and got his attention, allowing Fullstrom to regain the momentum. However, Nord's flurry was stopped by, to everybody's bewilderment, Kenji Hashimuto, who Nord had defeated a few weeks early. Apparently, Kenji is holding a grudge.

The bout spilled outside, where Bronco grabbed Grayson and Hashimuto grabbed Nord Fullstrom. The ref called for the bell.

It's unknown if Hashimuto and Grayson are in cahoots or is this whole situation is a co-incidence. After all, how would the man from upstate NYC and the Japanese Kenji get along. At the same time, how would Nord Fullstrom, the big Scandinavian and West Bronco from Texas get along? This bears watching.

Jack Slade pinned Naga Yajito with the Spiked DDT in 0:04:07.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Jack Slade retained the SMWA Television Title.)

Naga Yajito came close. He had the Sunfire Stretch on for a half minute...and that was it. Slade crushed him with the Spiked DDT and then grabbed the mic. Slade's face had never looked so angry before.

"Cody Simmons, you are the world's biggest @$$#0!e. I put up with your stupid little violinist, your sending flowers and cards to Jessica. But last week...that picture you sent last week...what the hell kind of idiot are you!!! Giving a picture like that...either you are the most disturbed stalking SOB I've ever met or you're trying to get some kind of PR in the adult magazine spreads. And by now, fans, I hope realize what the picture was all about...and what Cody...well what Cody didn't have about HIM!"

The crowd slowly came to the realization that last week, Cody had sent Jessica Haggar a picture of himself...STARK NAKED!!! "Cody," Slade continued, "you're gonna wish you had stayed in that box you were living in on the streets of NYC, jackass. I'm calling you out. I don't care where you are, what you're doing...you are going to get your ass down to this ring NOW and we're going to settle this crap."

With that, Cody appeared on the ramp, mic in hand. Jessica, as mad as Jack, held him back as Cody spoke. "What's the matter, Jack. Jealous? Feeling a little insecure by what you saw in that picture? Pal, you should, cause you know as well as I do that Jessica loves ME...she just hasn't gotten over you yet."

Not wanting to hear any more, Jessica grabbed Jack's microphone. "Hey, Cody. I'm not one to air dirty laundry in public, but if you want to talk about insecure...pal, I'd be ashamed of that picture being out in public. Talk about who is a real man...well, I'd say most of the guys in the locker room have you beat in the manhood department by at least a few inches. Now, get it through your head,Cody...WE...ARE...OVER!!!"

Cody stood at the ramp, unshaken. "Well, if you're going to act like that, I might as well just go. Slade, if you still want me...catch me while you can!"

And with that, Cody ran backstage. Slade was quick to pursue.

Highland Hell defeated The Dream Team when Hamish pinned McKee after a splash in 0:18:19.
Rating: * 1/4

The first of what promised to be a long feud between Highland Hell and the Dream Team ended in tragedy. It started like you'd expect a match between these two teams to start...brawls on the outside, foreign objects. Irish Peter McKee was vicious, driving Big Hamish through a ringside table with the Irish Bomb. The bout was fairly even...but then it became MUCH more one sided.

First, the Flying Scotsman came to ringside and distracted McKee, allowing Highland Hell to take control on him. Then, the rest of Sky Entertainment Ltd. came to ringside and distracted the ref and McKee's tag team partner, Rod Emerson.

For the next few minutes of the match, McKee was in a fight for survival until he managed to nail Angus with a vicious enzuilariato. But just as the battered McKee was going to make the tag, Sky Entertainment struck, getting Emerson to go on down to the floor. McKee fought valliantly inside, as his partner did out. An Irish Bomb probably would have led to the pinfall had the ref not been distracted by what was happening on the outside. Then McKee scalled the top rope...only to be hit in the back by a steel chair from the Scotsman, sending McKee onto the top rope. Hamish hit a Scottish Slam...then picked McKee up and hit him with one more...and then he set the steel chair up mid-ring and hit a THIRD!!! A splash was elementary, as Hamish got the pin.

Hamish, Angus and The Scotsman then proceeded to further beat down McKee, while the other members of Sky Entertainment forced Emerson to watch. The carnage was finally broken by an unlikely trio: Titan Tim Redbury, who is British, Andrew Marshall, who faced Titan on Saturday and El Stingray, who has teamed with both Titan and Sky. These three cleared the ring.

The EMT's came to the ring and put McKee on a stretcher. He hadn't moved since the assault. As he was wheeled to the back, his future in the SMWA seems very uncertain.

We saw Jack Slade tearing up the backstage area, looking for Cody Simmons, when we came out of commercial. He happened near his mentor, Mike Haggar, who was concentrating on his match with Rick Clark. After a brief conversation, Haggar told the fuming Slade that Cody was all his, that he had given up on him years ago in New York...and the plot thickens.

Teioh pinned The Great Oni with the Dark Moon in 0:13:36.
Rating: **** 1/4

Teioh and The Great Oni wrestled for the first time since their epic Martial Arts masterpiece at Heatwave '98. This match lived up to expectations. Teioh started VERY fast, nailing Oni with a Toka slam, a German suplex and, with the help of a steel chair, a fallaway slam. Oni came back with some fast feet after Teioh went for a very premature Dark Moon, but the momentum was once again changed when Zists yanked down the top rope, sending Oni crashing to the cold floor. The Lord of the Darkness took control, beating Oni from pillar to post with rapid fist flurries. Oni was able to regain control after Teioh missed a Yakuza kick, but when Oni missed his Cyclone kick, Teioh was quick to counter and to end the match in short order with the Dark Moon.

The lights went out in the arena and darkness prevailed...except, this time, a very unusual thing happened.

A glow started coming from the ring. In fact, the glow was the prone Oni...his body had started to glow. Then, in a blinding flash, the arena filled with light and Oni was GONE!!!

This was bizzare. Oni had pulled a few smoke and mirror tricks in the past, but none like this. Teioh and Zists, for the first time we've seen them in the SMWA, looked genuinely concerned about what had happened. The next few minutes...nothing. We're left to wonder about what happened.

Main Event Time.

Every time Rick Clark comes out, he get's booed more. His arrogance is just so grating. Mike Haggar came out to his usual thunderous ovation, without Jessica Haggar, who we can assume was helping Jack Slade with his search. And as soon as Mike climbed in the ring, Clark started the match.

Clark went after Haggar like a bolt of lightning. Clark hit with dropkicks, a textbook Frankensteiner and brilliant, rapid fire mat takedowns. Clark knew that he had to neutralize the HUGE power advantage of Haggar, and the best way to do this was to make sure Haggar couldn't gain his footing. However, when Clark whipped Haggar to the ropes, Haggar had perfect footing as he leveled Tricky with a devastating lariat. Haggar took control, brawling and overpowering Clark as fast as Clark was flying around Haggar earlier. Power bombs and a few building shaking suplexes nearly put Clark down, but it wasn't to be yet.

The tide turned again when Haggar charged the corner and was met by a Superkick square in the jaw. Clark went for the Sky-Driver...but ended up being suplexed over the top rope to the outside. Haggar took control, hitting a power bomb on the outside and then rolling Clark in to finish him. Haggar climbed to the top and soared with a flying clothesline...but the referee was too close to Clark and got his knee twisted around in the collision. Haggar went for the pin, but the ref was momentarily stunned by the pain of his leg. Haggar then bounced off the ropes for a lariat...

And from out of NOWHERE came Jerry Kent. Haggar saw Kent and paused. Clark then went and knocked himself and Haggar outside. Kent grabbed a chair and took a swing at his opponent on Saturday....but Clark moved and the shot his Haggar!!! Kent then proceeded to run from the ring as Clark hauled Haggar inside and hit him with the Sky-Driver. An injured ref crawled over...

Rick Clark pinned Mike Haggar with the Sky-Driver in 0:18:09.
Rating: *****

RICK CLARK HAD BEATEN MIKE HAGGAR AGAIN!!! Not cleanly, not fairly, but one month before Haggar fights to regain the SMWA title, he's pinned by Rick Clark. And what was Jerry Kent doing? He can't be so bitter about losing to Clark at Code Red that he'd get involved so violently, and then run away when he didn't get the job done. Well, it looks like Kent will have another enemy in Haggar.

This Saturday...
King Rasta returns!

To determine a top contender to Kodiak Marmoset's Cruiserweight title, a round robin tournament is being held with the following cruiserweights:

The first round will be this Saturday.

Also, Jack Slade will defend his TV belt, The PXM will wrestle and other SMWA superstars will also be in attendance. And there is a BIG main event in the works, if one man gets his way.
