It's Saturday Night...Do You Know Where YOUR Action Is?

El Stingray and IS-2000 battled to a double disqualification in 0:09:12.
***1/4

Tonight, the four tag teams involved in the Four Way Crash will be fighting each other in four singles matches as a sort of preview. Unfortunately, the first match didn't end with a winner. El Stingray and IS-2000 put on a luchador clinic, but once the action spilled to the outside, The Fallen showed up at ringside. The jobber team jumped Stingray and IS-2000, causing them to be counted out.

The big question is why are The Fallen, a team incredibly far out of contention, getting involved? Either way, don't expect Dark Angel and B.L.Z. Bub to be making any tag team waves any time soon.

Highland Hell beat Greed and Gluttony when Hamish defeated Blackhook by disqualification in 0:15:28.
-1/4*

Highland Hell dominated most of the match, and when Saul Masters saw his team was losing, he tossed Blackhook his pattented steel handled whip and Blackhook took both Angus and Hamish down. Glutt, Blackhook and Masters then proceeded to beat the tar out of the highlanders and, in an ultimate insult, SPAT ON THEIR KILTS! Angus and Hamish will not take this lightly.

Judgement pinned Nitro with the Death Penalty in 0:12:20.
-1/2*

A yawner between two big brawlers, but Judgement finally got back on the winning track, a road he has been off for some time.

Crash Burnz pinned BC-2000 after a power bomb in 0:09:13.
****1/4

When you put a luchadore from the year 2000 (so he claims) and a twisted aerial specialist from Philadelphia, you're bound to have a good match. That's what we had here. Burnz kept BC down by working him with power and almost matched him with speed...almost. IS-2000 got involved in the match as well, keeping BC from being pinned twice by putting his foot on the ropes. However, BC got no help when a frankensteiner became a power bomb in mid-ring.

Los Dragones beat Quasar and Teknos when Fire Dragon pinned Quasar with the Dragon Fire in 0:11:20.
****

Another great lucha match! Who says these guys are boring? The new team of Quasar and Teknos did what they could against the former tag champs, but couldn't overcome the cohesiveness of the Dragones. But what a great match regardless.

Rick Clark pinned Rokuru with the Sky-Driver in 0:12:21.
**
Rick Clark tore his left bicep. He will be out for approximately 6 cards.

The first scary moment of the night. Clark was dominated by Rokuru early, but several high flying moves put him back on top. But when Clark lifted Rokuru up for the Sky-Driver, he did something wrong and, even though the drop did take Rokuru out, it also did something to Clark's arm. Hopefully, he's back soon.

Slash Battle pinned Rod Emerson after a belly-to-belly superplex in 0:06:05.
***1/2

The unofficial "bat match" of the evening. Battle and Emerson found a bat and there were about twenty spots in this match where it was used. OUCH!!! Battle eventually scored the "home run" with a belly to belly from the top.

Only one more of the four "tag" matches to go.

Zangief pinned Texas Chainsaw Massochist with the Siberian Bear Crusher in 0:11:42.
**3/4

Tex had no shot. Zangief took him out, played with him a bit, and then the Bear Crusher did him in. Zangief then turned to the camera with one message "You're next, Hillsman". Hopefully, Chad Hillsman recovers by Crash Carnival, because that match should be something.

Peter McKee pinned Terry Sky with the Irish bomb in 0:04:42.
***1/4
Terry Sky suffered a neck injury. He will be out for approximately 11 cards.

Oh God! This was not good. One of the scarier moments in the SMWA. Terry was powerbombed on the floor early in the match, but fought back and came very close to a win with his Lights Out brainbuster. But another Irish Bomb by McKee put Sky down for the count, and that's when it broke lose. El Stingray and Sarge X jumped McKee, who was joined by his partner, and then the PXM and Los Viajeros came into the ring. A huge brawl ensued...but nobody seemed to notice that Terry Sky wasn't moving.

With the exception of stablemate Titan Tim, who ran to ringside and cleared the ring of all but his fellow Platoon teammates.Sky was taken out of the ring on a stretcher. He has a severe neck injury, and it looks like he'll have to pull out of the 4 Way Match at Crash Carnival.

Which begs the question..who will replace him OR maybe even SuperStars Inc. Well, Jack McCullough, the esteemed commish, says he will make that decision on Monday.

Mike Haggar pinned Akira Wan-Pai with the Screwdriver in 0:18:46.
(Mike Haggar retained the SMWA World Heavyweight Title)
**1/2

Akira matched Haggar's power with his martial arts technique. Haggar, tired coming off the Tag Team World Cup and dealing with a flight from Japan, seemed a bit lost at times, but still pulled it off. Akira used his trademark Tetzuzanko on the outside, driving Haggar rib first into the guardrail at ringside. But Haggar pulled through. Then match ended with a great series of blocked kicks and punches, and a Screwdriver.

Then came the moment we all waited for, and so did Haggar. Mike waited in the ring for Doomsday to make his way down and attack his fallen foe. There was a huge explosion in the arena, trademark of a Doomsday entrance, but no Doomsday. Another explosion, then another and another. Ten explosions, the building was filled with smoke...but no Doomsday.

It appears Extinct and the Doomsday Hunters are wise to the fact that Haggar won't let any of them near a fallen opponent of his...which begs the question, what will the Doomsday Hunters do next?

I'm sure Extinct wont make us wait too long to find out. And I'm not sure we want to know what the answer is...
