IHLW Era 3 (2002)

There are some weird match finishes in this era because many matches were unbooked.

Third Time's The Lucky Charm
March 31, 2002 - Jacksonville Coliseum, Jacksonville, FL

A black screen is shown. Text begins to scroll up it in Star Wars-esk fashion...

Things come and things go.
Fads, heros, pop culture.
But some things don't change,
remaining almost outside of time.
It is not logical nor sensible
for this to happen.
For example,
a certain wrestling organization.
Originally based out of Orlando,
starting today it will be running its shows
out of the Jacksonville Coliseum.
Insane Hardcore Lucha Wrestling.
You thought it was dead didn't you?!
But its baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
And Third Time's the Lucky Charm...

Images of Lucky Charms cereal start falling on the screen as sinister laughter is heard.

An array of clips from the first two IHLW "eras" are shown. Lex Luger vs Meng fueds. 911 chokeslamming alot of people. The wacked out intro to Era 2 featuring Luger, 911, and Ed Leslie in Sting facepaint. Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn brutalizing each other. Lots of high flying and hardcore action and lame gimmicks.

A rag-tag assortment of heels come out individually. "Theme from Power Rangers" fires up to the shock of pretty much everyone and out come five guys dressed like you would expect. Announcers identify two as Mexican luchadores Ludxor White and Venum Black and a third as Al Greene (?!) but dont recognize the other two. Greene gets a mic (!)...
Greene: Ladies and gentlemen, we are the New Power Rangers and we are here to vanquish scum such as the fiendish collection of villians which stand before you in the ring!

THE NEW POWER RANGERS vs
"CUBAN ASSASSIN" FIDEL SIERRA/HACK MYERS/THE PERFECT CREATION/SAVIO VEGA/CHRIS THE BAMBIKILLER
Match is a big spotfest-brawl. Chris the Bambikiller gets pissed off and walks out not long into the match. Ludxor and Venum double team TPC and pin him with a flying legdrop.

The New Power Rangers (Al Greene, Battle Ranger, Cosmo*Soldier, Ludxor White and Venum Black)
defeated Fidel Sierra, Hack Myers, The Perfect Creation, Savio Vega and Chris the Bambikiller when Black pinned Creation after a flying legdrop in 0:03:32.
Rating: -1/2*

Bambikiller runs back in and delievers Bambideathshots to all five Rangers, opening up a monster heel beatdown and Ludxor hurts his knee in the process.

"THE TRASH MAN" DUKE DROESE vs SABU
Blah match. They choke each other with a towel. Sabu hits an Arabian Facebuster. Sabu gets caught in a bearhug. Sabu misses a somersault plancha and takes the Trash Compactor.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match
Duke Droese pinned Sabu with the Trash Compactor in 0:06:42.
Rating: 1/4*

The next match marks the debut of Alan Stone and Chris Stone. And because this is ILHW they have shaved their heads and are wearing matching black vests.

TAJIRI/SUPER RATON/TAKA MICHINOKU/ZONIK vs ALAN STONE/CHRIS STONE/DR CEREBRO/SUPER MEGA
Mega and Taka start and Taka hits some good stuff, but gets cradled when he tries the Michinoku Driver. Mega quickly hits a vertical facebuster to take the first fall. Super Raton replaces Taka. Announcers' line of the night: "We're not in Orlando anymore so why do we still have a guy in a Mickey Mouse costume?" They go back and forth and Raton hits a powerbomb but Super Mega kicks out and does Super Mega Hulk Up. Tajiri is tagged in and kicks the crap out of Mega to kill the comeback. Mega tags TAFKA Moto Cross, but he gets whooped too and takes a Super Frankensteiner to even the pinfalls. Raton is back in and the Stones take the opportunity to double team him. They hit some highspots including Chris' Double Springboard Moonsault, but Taka saves so Mega enters and levels Taka with a clothesline. Raton scampers away so its a three on one beatdown of Taka until Zonik decides to join the fray and takes everyone out with a big flying cross body. Cerebro joins the fun by frog splashing Zonik for two. Mega puts a Gory Special on Taka and Tajiri goes for the save, but some fancy flippery by Mega causes Tajiri to end up kicking his teammate instead. Stone nails an Asai moonsault on Zonik for two. Tajiri kicks Cerebro out of the ring then planchas on him. Everybody dives on everyone culminating in the Stones hitting stereo suicide dives. Huge brawl on the floor and the ref just counts the whole thing out.

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match
Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Dr. Cerebro and Super Mega drew Yoshihiro Tajiri, Super Raton, TAKA Michinoku and Zonik:
x Mega beat Michinoku via a vertical facebuster in 0:01:30
x Tajiri beat Chris Stone via a top-rope Frankensteiner in 0:07:29
x double countout (Cerebro and Michinoku) in 0:21:17
Rating: * 1/4

Post match, Taka and Zonik turn on Raton and Tajiri after the match, but Super Mega saves. Lots of screaming in Japanese and Spanish and somewhere in there they agree to a Mega/Tajiri/Raton vs Taka/Zonik/Cerebro match next week.

PSICOSIS vs JULIO FANTASTICO
Not a bad match, but the crowd didn't seem interested. Lots of counters and blocked moves mixed with some high spots. Nasty spot as Psic hits a flying senton on Fantastico on a table but it wont break. Later, Psicosis hits his Guillotine Legdrop...but La Parka runs in and hits him in the head with a chair?!

Psicosis defeated Julio Fantastico by disqualification in 0:08:47.
Rating: *

Psicosis seems confused on why his long time partner would attack him. So do the announcers.

In the back, Perry Saturn is on his way out for his match. He runs into Mike Awesome.
Saturn: Hey Mike, do you know who I'm facing?
Awesome: Yeah.
Saturn: Who?
Awesome: Yes.
Saturn: What?
Awesome: No, WHO.
Saturn: I'm facing who???
Awesome: Yeah, thats what I told you in the first place.
Saturn: Nevermind...

The Sound of Sirens brings out Perry Saturn. In the ring, he gets a mic.
Saturn: Will somebody please tell me who I'm facing?!

"Who Are You?" by The Who fires up and out walks Jim Neidhart in a yellow mask. The announcers are speachless. The crowd is lost. Somewhere, all of five people are laughing.

PERRY SATURN vs WHO
Nothing but a brawl. Who no sold a bunch of stuff. Saturn resorted to hitting Who in the head with a frying pan. Who hits a flying shoulderblock and gets the pin. The crowd actually responds positively, as they find the idea of chanting "who" almost as appealing as "what".

Who pinned Perry Saturn with the Flying Shoulderblock in 0:07:41.
Rating: -* 1/2

LA PARKA (w/ chair) vs RECKLESS YOUTH
Back and forth match with several near falls. La Parka sneaks in a chair shot and appears to have it wont, but Psicosis runs in and hits his Guilotine Legdrop on Parka to cause DQ?!

La Parka defeated Reckless Youth by disqualification in 0:06:16.
Rating: ** 1/4

La Parka seems confused on why his long time partner would attack him. The announcers at first think Psicosis is getting his revenge for Parka's attack but are confused by the fact that Parka seemed very surprised to be attacked by Psicosis which he shouldn't be if he'd attacked Psicosis just a few matches earlier.

T.C.K. vs "SCRAP IRON" ADAM PIERCE - FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE
This one was out of the ring in a hurry. They brawl into the crowd. TCK gets a shovel and beats Pierce body with it then hits his tiger driver to win.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match
T.C.K. pinned Adam Pierce with the Kaos Driver in 0:06:34.
Rating: ** 1/4

"It Doesn't Matter" by Wyclef Jean brings out...Ricky Marvin. He starts doing the usual Rock catchphrases in Spanish. The announcers wish they had cellphones so they could call 911. Pyro suddenly explodes. "Crush Em" by Megadeth fires up and Bill Goldberg marches out!

"THE RICK" RICKY MARVIN vs GOLDBERG
Spear, Jackhammer, splat.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match
Bill Goldberg pinned Ricky Marvin with the Jackhammer in 0:00:10.
Rating: DUD

Ah, the perfect ending to a gimmick that was horrible even by IHLW standards.

"We Are Extreme" brings out Extreme Sin. Their manager Jay Sin gets a mic and rants and raves about Kurt Reigns and how he should get a shot at the IHLW Championship. Public Enemy walk out with their trusty table and remind ES they have unfinished business. Six-man tag tonight and if The Public Enemy win they get a Tag Titles shot next week. Jay Sin emphasises the "if" repeatedly until Ken Shamrock walks out to join TPE and shut him.

EXTREME SIN (w/ JAY SIN) VS KEN SHAMROCK & PUBLIC ENEMY (w/ table)
Okay match. Shamrock and Reigns got in some shots, but it was mostly between the two teams. Spinebuster and the Drive By get the pin.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match
Public Enemy and Ken Shamrock defeated Extreme Sin (Khris Germany, Kit Carson and Kurt Reigns) when Rocco pinned Germany after the the Drive By in 0:05:01.
Rating: * 1/2

Crowd wants tables and TPE try to oblige, but Kurt Reigns has other ideas. Ken Shamrock stops him and they have a stare down. Shamrock wants a match next week. Reigns thinks about it for a moment then slugs Shamrock. Pier Six brawl errupts and security and officials have to come out to pull everyone apart.

HARDCORE TITLE MATCH: 911 (c) vs MIKE AWESOME
Staredown and test of strength to start. 911 absolutely brutualizes Awesome until an inverted Awesome Bomb turns the tide. Awesome goes outside for a breather then suckers 911 into a baseball bat shot. They brawl up the entrace way and in to the back where 911 throws Awesome down a flight of stairs. He casually walks down the stairs to find Awesome bleeding with a probable broken nose (among other things) and chokes him sensless. The ref mercifly declares Awesome out cold.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match
911 made Mike Awesome submit to a chokehold in 0:08:11.

Psicosis II and La Parka are arguing in the back in Spanish. Announcers indicate its regarding the interferance last week in each others matches. Announcers say that there were so many guys wanting shots at each other that they just decieded to throw everyone into one big match and make it the main event. Ah, refreshing honesty. They skip over the fact that the televised version of this match got trimmed a bit, but when its a two hour show you can't have a 10-man elimination match without sucking up more than a quarter of the show. Goldberg grabs a mic after his entrance and gives your standard 'gonna kick ass and take names' style Goldberg interview and finishes off with the usual "Who's Next?!" His teamate Jim Neidhart, still sporting the infamous yellow mask, immediately gets the next entrace to his usual tune of The Who's "Who Are You?". About five people actually find the joke funny, but some of the crowd starts chanting "Who" during the music anyway.

Massive pyro errupts as the show opens. "Crush 'em" by Megadeth brings out an angry Bill Goldberg.
Goldberg: I got some issues. Last week, I made 911, the IHLW Hardcore Champ, tap out. Which means tonight, I want a title shot. And speaking of last week, one of my teams was slacking quite a bit and if he'd been paying attention to what the hell was going on I wouldn't have gotten pinned by Albert. Who's Next? EXACTLY.
"Who Are You" by The Who brings out Who.
Who: Who's next?
Goldberg: Yes.
Who: Who?
Goldberg: Yes.
Who: Who?
Goldberg: Don't make me kick you in the head, Neidhart.
"Chaos B.C." by Sepultura brings out TCK.
TCK: You're both forgetting who's responsible for driving you both nuts, saving 911 from getting pinned earlier from a Jackhammer. I broke up a bunch of pinfalls! I am the spoiler! I am Tables, Chairs, and KAOS!!!
"Money City Maniacs" by Sloan fires up and out walks 911. TCK turns around just in time to be grabbed around the throat and be chokeslammed. 911 holds up the Hardcore Title with his left hand then signs for the Chokeslam with his right before turning and leaving.

Announcers inform us the main event tonight will be a four corners match - Goldberg vs Who vs 911 vs TCK, with the Hardcore Title on the line!

The Russian National Anthem signals the TV debut of The Russians. They carry Russian flags. No, they don't try to sign. If

ALBERT & SATURN vs THE RUSSIANS
Saturn and Victor Zangiev start. Saturn gets a waistlock suplex for two. Flying legdrop gets two. Double tag and Albert bearhugs John Zandig, but he punches out. KEN SHAMROCK & PUBLIC ENEMY vs EXTREME SIN (w/ JAY SIN & THE IHLW TAG TITLES)
Crowd Interest: 90%
This one was snipped for TV. Standard stuff. Jay Sin keeps interefering, but the faces are expecting it and keep beating him. But the distractions keep opening up the heels to take the upper hand. Extreme Sin concentrate on putting Shamrock out first (after choking him with some barbedwire) and Rocco follows soon after. They deciede to absolutely abuse and destroy Grunge instead of elimating him. Carson goes to finally finish the beating with an Extreme Piledriver through a table but Grunge blocks it and backdrops Carson, breaking the table! Carson wont leave though so Shamrock runs back out and attacks him and they brawl off into the crowd. Germany and Reigns hold up Grunge for a trash can lid shot by Jay Sin, but Rocco Rock walks back out, holds up a cellphone, and dials 9-1-1. "Money City Maniacs" by Sloan fires up and the place just errupts. Jay Sin freaks and flees through the crowd. Germany and Reigns try to double team 911, but he no-sells and Chokeslams both guys then leaves. When Germany gets to his feet, Grunge is waiting with trash can shot which KOs Germany and he falls over and through a table. Jay Sin runs back in, chairs Grunge, and flees again. Reigns sets up a table, puts Grunge on it, and goes up top. He goes for a flying elbowdrop through the table, but if you've seen this show the previous two weeks you can guess what the result of that is. So much for third time being the charm.

"Cowboy" by Kid Rock kicks off the show and out walks...Bill Watts?!

Watts: Welcome, Jacksonville, to JOSWF! I know, I know, you're saying: "What the heck is JOSWF?" It's the NEW IHLW. You see, I'm the commissioner now. And as you all know, I don't do hardcore. I don't do lucha. And I sure as hell don't do insane. No more top rope moves. No more mats around the ring. It's all about Jacksonville Old-School Wrestling Federation! And I'd like to introduce you to your new official enforcer, Steve Corino, and the man who will be challenging Bill Goldberg tonight for the IHLW Championship, my son Erik Watts!!!
*crowd boos*

"This is Extreme" by Harry Slash & The Slashtones hits the speakers and the crowd ERRUPTS as Paul Heyman walks out.
Heyman: It's me, its me, it's Paul E.!!! And if it isn't Bill Watts!
*pulls out a cellphone and puts it to his ear*
Heyman: ring ring yes uh-huh okay I'll tell him. Hey Bill, the 1980s just called: they want their crappy boring wrestling back. IHLW is extreme! I am extreme! You Bill, you're just extremely OLD! Now, I believe your three minutes are...wait, I'm not in WWE any more. Okay, somebody cue "Brenda Stubert"...wait, no, we don't have any Scottish hit squads here. Send for R&B securi...no, no,
that's still not right. Oh, yeah, now I remember! Somebody better call...what's that number?
crowd: 9-1-1!!!
Heyman holds up his cellphone and dials the numbers in sync with the crowd's chant. Watts looks perplexed.

"Money City Maniacs" by Sloan hits and the crowd errupts again. Watts freaks and tries to run but 911 stalks out, grabs Watts, holds him in the air with one hand for what seems like forever
as Paul Heyman pulls out a table and sets it up, and then 911 chokeslams Bill Watts through it.
Heyman: THE OLD SCHOOL IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE HOUSE OF HARDCORE!!!

The crowd just goes nuts as we go to a short break...

...and return with Paul Heyman at the very long commentary desk at ringside, along with Jerry Lawler, Abdullah the Butcher, Jake Roberts, and Paul Orndoff.
Heyman: Welcome everyone back to IHLW! I am Paul E. Dangerously and I am your new extreme commissioner. IHLW was originally VERY extreme, but it seems the ownership had some concerns the product was getting watered down. So they brought me in! Before we get on with the show, does anyone have any thoughts?
Orndoff: That was a wonderful opener, Paul!
Abby: Abby wants ribs!
Jake: *burp* Can someone flag down the beer vender?
Lawler: This show needs more PUPPIES!!!

TAKA Michinoku pinned Dr. Cerebro with the Michinoku Driver in 0:03:40.
Rating: ** 1/2

The camera cuts to Ed Leslie, dressed as The Disciple standing in the crowd.
Disciple: Behold my brothers and sisters, I bring you tidings of joy and greatness! I want you to all open hearts and your arms to the greatness that shall soon grace this heathen place! In a mere two weeks, your savior shall arrive! Be not fooled by the lies that the Christian church spreads, for they seek to drive you from your true messiah, the unstoppabled one! He who's name I dare no utter for even I, his most trusted disciple is not worthy to speak his name! But lo I pitty the poor fools who do not prepare themselves for his coming! The unbelievers shall be cast aside and the true followers of the Human Union of Life and Karma shall be rewarded!

Back at the commentary table...
Heyman: Jake, just what the hell has Ed Leslie been drinking? Jake?
Heyman turns to see Jake passed out on the floor next to the table.
Lawler: Hey Paul, sure you haven't been giving ol' Ed some of your kool-aid?
Heyman glares at Lawler then pulls out his cellphone and dials something. Lawler seems oblivious until 911 reaches out from the crowd behind Lawler, pulls him over the railing, and does a
sort of throwing choke slam through the commentary table (as Heyman, Orndoff, and Abby scury out of the way).
Heyman: Anyone else want to mock me?
Orndoff: I think that was a wonderful decision...
Abby: I think I'm safe cause not even 911 can chokeslam someone as fat as me. But just in case, if you don't try I promise to treat both of you to a free night off all-you-can-eat at Abby's Famous Place for Ribs!

Heyman explains that its a real shame neither guy worked out: Tudor was going to be part of a new stable of Pokemon characters and Fishman was going to run around with a bucket of mackrel and try to trade them to his opponent in exchange for giving him the match. AND HE ACTUALLY MANAGES TO EXPLAIN ALL THIS WITH A STRAIGHT FACE! Tony is agast and wonders aloud who books this crap? Paul shrugs and adds "I dunno, but he must have one fucked up sense of humor..."

TAKA Michinoku pinned Mike Quackenbush with the Michinoku Driver in 0:02:15.
Rating: ** 1/4

Taka made quick work of newcomer Quackenbush, but the short match was pretty good.

No-Time-Limit-Four Corners Match
Zonik and Blitzkrieg defeated The Perfect Creation and Reckless Youth; Super Mega and Yoshihiro Tajiri; and Michael Modest and Julio Fantastico
when Zonik defeated Fantastico via pinfall in 0:07:05.
Rating: * 1/2

Zonik got the pin after Modest and Fantastico got into an arguement and Julio ended up on the recieving end of a Natural Driver from his partner.

Maximum Pain and Maxx Payne defeated The New Power Rangers (Battle Ranger, Ludxor and Venum) when Bull pinned Battle Ranger after a DDT in 0:08:28.

Rating: * 3/4

Two-out-of-three-Falls Match
Super Parka and Psicosis beat Psicosis II and La Parka 2 falls to 1:
x La Parka beat Super Parka via the Twisting Bodyblock in 0:05:13
x Psicosis beat La Parka via the Flying Legdrop in 0:10:20
x Psicosis beat Psicosis II via the Flying Legdrop in 0:16:52
Rating: ** 3/4

Good match and a clean victory here. La Parka bashes his trusty chair over Psicosis II after the match and offers a handshake to Psicosis. They shake then share a big hug...until Super Parka bashes both guys with a chair of his own. He gets a mic and starts screaming in a broken, semi-coherent rant about being used by Psicosis and leaves.

"Sexy Boy" plays teasing a Shawn Michaels appearance. But of course it's another fakeout with.Chris Michaels dresse like the old Heartbreak Kid.

[Round 1]
Chris Michaels and Bam Bam Bigelow battled to a double countout in 0:05:48.
Rating: * 1/4

Michaels did an admirable Shawn Michaels immitation but with a hardcore flair: after he and Bigelow ended up on the floor, Bigelow was leveled with a big superkick. But he rolled clear of a flying elbowdrop off the guardrail through a table and neither man was able to beat the count back to the ring.

The Stinger rappels from the rafters, but turns out to be Jeff "nWo Sting" Farmer looking like the old neon-facepaint bleach blonde hair Sting.

[Round 1]
The Stinger pinned Chris the Bambikiller with the Diving Clothesline in 0:05:32.
Rating: ** 1/2

[Round 1]
Rob Van Dam defeated Mike Awesome via pinfall in 0:04:53.
Rating: ** 3/4

Mike Awesome tried a flying headbutt through a table, but RVD got out of the way and Awesome went through the table instead. Awesome had already been busted open by some shots from a 2x4 earlier in the match. This matter may not be over...

[Round 1]
The Jacksonville Kid defeated Hulk Horace by disqualification in 0:06:30.
Rating: -* 3/4

Shane Eden debuts, with a gimmick based on the fact that he's the only Jax-area wrestler in IHLW. Horace wrestled about as well as his uncle, but at least with a more diverse moveset. Eden went to hit a move off the top but The Disciple shoved him off. The ref saw it and called a DQ, but got the Apocalypse and the Big Leg Drop as a result.

[Semi-Finals]
The Stinger won via default.

[Semi-Finals]
Rob Van Dam pinned The Jacksonville Kid with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:03:47.
Rating: * 1/2

Eden was a bit worn out from the last match and RVD capitalized. Eden shockingly kicked out of the Five Star Frog Splash. But RVD just bodyslammed him on a chair and hit a second frog splash to win.

[Finals]
The Stinger pinned Rob Van Dam after a powerslam in 0:03:54.
Rating: * 3/4

It was the Stinger's turn to capitalize on a non-fresh opponent. He pummeled RVD outside the ring for much the match and won the match with a low blow and a powerslam.

Heyman informs us in the name of being more hardcore, The Russians vs Albert/Saturn match is now a Russian Chain Match from Hell. What's that mean? Well, turns out it means not only are the wrestlers tied together by chains, but the ropes are wrapped with barbed wire as are the chains and everyone has taped fists. And its falls count anywhere. This match should be a nasty, bloody affair...right?

Russian Chain Match from Hell No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match:
The Russians defeated Albert and Perry Saturn when Zandig defeated Albert via pinfall in 0:06:09.
Rating: 3/4*

Or not. No blood and Zandig wins after a Baldobomb attempt through a table goes awry and Albert goes through the table instead giving Zandig an easy pin. Tony notes that for a hardcore wrestling fed, IHLW sure has trouble delievering in matches that should be really hardcore. Like that Axl vs Ian barbedwire match from one of the previous Eras. Heyman groans.

Cosmo*Soldier pinned Great Sasuke after an inverted DDT in 0:03:51.
Rating: *
(Cosmo*Soldier won the IHLW Lucha Title.)

Disappointing match and way too short. Cosmo gets the pin and the title with a inverted DDT after Sasuke missed a flying legdrop.

THE STREET BRAWL TO SETTLE IT ALL: FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE, ANYTHING GOES, IHLW TAG TITLES MATCH
TEAM EXTREME (c) vs PUBLIC ENEMY

Jay Sin is barred from the ring area. Public Enemy have their usual table, which Team Extreme counters by bringing out their own table...wrapped in barbedwire. The usual brawling leads to the floor, but an Extreme Stunner can't get the win so TE bust out the barbed wire. The crowd starts going nuts with both teams trading shots with the wire and using it in just about every way barbedwire can be used to injure someone. Grunge drops an elbow off the apron onto Germany to put him through the TPE table. Rocco chokes Carson, but Carson slugs him in the face with some brass knux to break the hold. Grunge goes to the TPE secondary weapon of choice - trash can lids - and pays symbols with Carson's head onto to take another Extreme Stunner from Germany. More barbed wire gets used, as does a TV monitor from the commentary table, a leather belt, and a fire extinguisher. And they brawl into the crowd and beat the shit out of each other with chairs. Crowd is just insanely into the match, cheering TPE like crazy and booing the hell out of Team Extreme. Germany gets a boombox smashed over his head but Carson cleans house with a cane then dropkicks a trashcan lid into Grunge's face. In a cute spot, Carson syncronizes a few ringbell shots to Rocco with a Germany whipping Grunge. Grunge snatches a barbedwire bat from under the ring to clobber Germany then does likewise with Carson. Germany and Carson get laid out on the TE barbedwire table. Drive By through the table, crowd goes nuts, TPE wins, awesome hardcore match and easily match of the night and probably greatest IHLW tag match ever.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match
Public Enemy defeated Team Extreme when Rocco Rock pinned Germany with the Drive By in 0:21:26.
Rating: **** 1/4
(Public Enemy won the IHLW Tag Titles.)

As Team Extreme leaves dejected, Rocco and Grunge celebrate in the ring with some dancing and waving of the arms. They don't see Axl Rotten and Terry Funk run in from the crowd and attack them. Tony is actually on the ball and references Terry and Axl's short lived team from the end of Era 1, Funkin' Rotten. Both TPE members get spiked piledrivers for their troubles.

IHLW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: BILL GOLDBERG (c) vs JERRY LYNN
Brawling to start. Lynn works in some spots and a few light submissions while Goldberg does power offense. Goldberg spinebuster gets two. Flying dropkick misses and Goldberg waits... spear, Jackhammer, spl...but Lynn cradles him for two! Goldberg works through more power offense and submissions then another Jackhammer which fini...NO! Lynn shockinglu kicks out at the last possible moment! Goldberg gets nocked out of the ring and Lynn dives onto him. This prompts probably the sickest spot of the night as Lynn gives Goldberg a modified suplex that drops him face first onto the guardrail and Goldberg bleeds. Lynn rolls him back into the ring where a groggy Goldberg misses a savate kick and Lynn delievers a Cradle Piledriver for the win.

Jerry Lynn pinned Bill Goldberg with the Cradle Piledriver in 0:11:53.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Jerry Lynn won the IHLW Championship.)

Lynn holds the championship up then gives us collective flashbacks to the tail end of ECW by using his finger to draw a big "L" on the forehead of the unconcious Goldberg using the blood from Goldberg's busted head.

Lynn leaves with the title around his waist as EMTs come out to check Goldberg. Tiger Ali Singh accompanies them?! Carrying an American flag?! Singh sets up the flag on one of the ringposts then watches the EMTs attend to Goldberg, who has revived. They check him over and deciede to take him off on a stretcher just in case. Singh gets a mic...

Singh: You all were probably suprised to see me come out an American flag. You probably expected me to attack Bill Goldberg. Or perhaps carry out a bag of salt and toss it at the crowd and shout "a pox of anthrax on you all!" or some other stereotypical line. I'm not here to do that. Do you look at me like that because you've been trained by Vince McMahon to expect me to pay an planted audience member to perform some degrading act? Or lead out some fellow turban-wearing wrestlers for a bad comedy act? Or maybe its because I really am a foreigner? You Americans see me and think I'm automatically a bad guy because I was not born here. I came here seeking opportunity and a chance to make something of myself. Instead, I have been made to look like a fool. A joke. I have had my turban defecated in by other professional wrestlers because they thought it was funny.
*crowd chants "shit head"*
Singh: I am a proud member of the Sikh religion! How would you people like it if I urinated on a Bible??? I hate you all. And its not because I'm jealous of your money or your fancy houses or because I think you're a bunch of infidels. I hate you because you're worthless, bigoted trash who don't appreciate what you have and take pleasure in inflicting pain on everyone else, especially if they aren't American! You can all go to hell!!!

And with that Tiger Ali Singh pulls out a lighter and ignites the American flag he'd brought to the ring with him. As it goes up in flames, he leaves the ring quickly, but calmly...despite the fact that the crowd is practically rioting. Heyman and Schivante are speechless as we go off the air...

DARK MATCHES

The New Power Rangers (Battle Ranger, Ludxor White and Venum Black) and Yoshihiro Tajiri defeated Maximum Pain, Maxx Payne, and Fidel Sierra
when Battle Ranger pinned Sierra with the Dragon Suplex in 0:06:25.
Rating: 1/4*

Perry Saturn defeated Razor Ramirez via pinfall in 0:07:48.
Rating: **

Some decent ring work by Saturn and Ramirez. Ramirez kicks out of the DVD and Rings of Saturn, but gets distracted by Albert and walks into a big kick and a pin.

The Russians defeated Reckless Youth and The Perfect Creation when Zandig pinned Reckless after a powerslam in 0:03:59.
Rating: 3/4*

TAPED FOR TV

Paul E. Dangerously and Tony Schivante welcome us to Saturday Night Insanity. They mention the supercard results, grimacing at the mention of Tiger Ali Singh and his flag burning. Goldberg is not here this week because he's still recovering from his injuries at the supercard.

"Unbelievable" by INXS brings out Julio Fantastico. He calls out Mike Modest. "Mellow Yellow" brings out Modest. Julio wants to know why Modest turned on him at the supercard. Modest says he never wanted to be paired with Fantastico in the first place. He doesn't like Julio - he's too flashy, too flamboyant. Or in other words, not modest enough.

Julio Fantastico pinned Michael Modest with the Fantastick Kick in 0:05:43.
Rating: * 3/4

Fantastico gets his superkick to win, but Low Ki runs in after the match and kicks the crap out of Fantastico. Modest recovers and delievers a Natural Driver for good measure. They challenge Julio to a tag match next week.

Chris Michaels pinned Bam Bam Bigelow with the Flying Elbowdrop in 0:06:53.
Rating: * 1/2

Taped segment is shown with Tiger Ali Singh. He promises that his flag burning is but the beginning of his reign of terror!

"Cult of Personality" by Living Color brings out Hulk Horace and The Disciple. Horace strikes the usual Hulk poses. The Disciple tells the crowd they need to embrace the Human Union of
Life and Karma. Some smark in the crowd holds up a sign that reads "IHLW steals from Scott Keith!" The crowd boos as well. The Disciple calls the crowd heretics and challenges The Stinger next week for his Florida Title. "Jacksonville Kid" by Lynyrd Skynyrd brings out Shane Eden to get some cheers from the crowd.

The Jacksonville Kid pinned Hulk Horace after a back suplex in 0:09:07.
Rating: -**

Crowd was happy about this one. Kid dominates to start, but Horace hulks up. But the Kid kills the comeback with a lariat and a suplex for the pin. Eden takes The Apocalypse after the match and Horace gets ready for the Big Leg Drop, but The Stinger chases the heels off.

Psicosis and La Parka defeated Super Parka and Psicosis II when Parka pinned Psicosis II after a flying bodypress in 0:07:07.
Rating: ***

Super Parka ranted before the match in Spanish, which the announcers translated to say that he thinks Psicosis used him as a tool to get revenge. So now HE'S out for revenge. The match itself was what you'd expect from these teams. But the Head Hunters came down near the end and punked out Super Parka, distracting Psicosis II. But when Psic and La Parka celebrated their win, they got punked out too. The Head Hunters just totally destroy by teams and then moonsault all four luchadores in sequence. Schivante wonders why are the Head Hunters have returned and are on this spree of attacking IHLW tag teams?

Cosmo*Soldier pinned Great Sasuke after an inverted DDT in 0:03:33.
Rating: * 3/4
(Cosmo*Soldier retained the IHLW Lucha Title.)

Rematch from last week's supercard. Again a disappointing match and again Cosmo wins with an inverted DDT. Sasuke wants another match next week, but with 2/3 falls. Cosmo agrees.

"Anarchy in the USA" brings out Funkin Rotten. Terry Funk says he and Axl Rotten want a shot at the titles they never lost. Schivante goes on a lengthy spiel about the different IHLW eras and how Funkin Rotten really never did lose the tag titles. Dangerously wonders why the hell IHLW even tries to keep their history straight considering how screwy it is because of the different eras. He suggests the booker must be a perfectionist...

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match
Public Enemy defeated Funkin' Rotten when Rocco Rock pinned Funk after the Drive By in 0:03:38.
Rating: 1/4*
(Public Enemy retained the IHLW Tag Titles.)

Blah brawl that ends with Rocco hitting Funk with a brick. Spinebuster and the Drive By finishes things in the middle of the ring.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match
Rob Van Dam pinned Jerry Lynn with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:06:29.
Rating: ** 1/4
(Rob Van Dam won the IHLW Championship.)

Decent, but very disappointing considering what past Lynn-RVD matches have been. Lynn just went fricking psycho beating RVD practically unconcious with a tire iron and drawing alot of blood. But as Lynn stood over the fallen and bloody RVD, "Crush Em" hit and Lynn looked toward the entrance way. Which meant he didn't see Goldberg run out of the crowd from behind and spear him.
Jackhammer follows and Goldberg walks off contently. RVD manages to hit the FSFS to get the IHLW Championship again.

This marks the end of IHLW as a weekly circuit. Dave Meltzer claims Tiger Ali Singh's terrorist gimmick got IHLW kicked off TV and barred from the Jacksonville Coliseum.
