Steve McMichael pinned Steven Regal with the Tombstone Piledriver in 0:12:08.
Rating: *** 1/2
The show opens with the announcers confirming that Scott Hall will be out for several months with a neck injury suffered last week on Nitro. Before they have time to speculate much on what this will mean, the nWo's music plays and out they come out (minus Scott Hall) to open the show. Hogan talks trash about Bret Hart and says the nWo is on the same page. Savage talks trash about The Giant. Nash talks about Syxx being unable to wrestle since October with a neck injury and now Hall having hurt his neck too. Since Hall can't face Sting at Souled Out, Nash wants to take his place. He promises to give Sting the beating of his life. Bischoff talks about the nWo ranks being thinned by the injuries so he used his connections to call for reenforcements from nWo Japan. nWo music hits again and out comes Masahiro Chono!
Some John Phillip Sousa music fires up and everyone is surprised as "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan comes out with this trustly 2x4. He struts, he yells "Hooo!", and he wants a mic. He says Hogan used to wear red and yellow and stood for the red, white, and blue. Now he wears black and white and stands for the green, as in money. And now Hogan has sold out by bringing in a "foreign mercenary" to wage war on WCW. Duggan wants a match with Chono, right here right now!
Masahiro Chono made Jim Duggan submit to the STF in 0:15:03.
Rating: **
The nWo let this go fair and square. Chono methodically dismantles Duggan and forces him to tap out. After the match, he grabs Duggan's 2x4 and uses it to further destroy Duggan. DDP runs down to make the save. Chono bails, taking the 2x4 with him. As Chono retreats up the entranceway he points the 2x4 at DDP then angrily snaps it in half over his leg.
Bill Goldberg is in the back with Gene Okerlund. He says Disco can run but he can't hide; Disco music is dead and once Goldberg gets his hands on Disco Inferno, he's a dead man! Without warning, Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom ambush Goldberg. He fights them off as the announcers wonder why The Destruction Crew have attacked Goldberg?
Juventud Guerrera and Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho when Mysterio Jr. defeated E. Guerrero by countout in 0:06:23.
Rating: ** 1/2
After Eddie got knocked out of the ring by Mysterio, he decieded he'd had enough. He grabbed his title and walked out.
Alex Wright and Debra come out. Wright wants another match with Benoit for the TV Title because he hasn't gotten the finish he deserves. Benoit comes out with Malenko and suggests Wright will get a match with a clean finish once The Flock stop interfering. He challenges Raven to finally face him. The Flock are in their usual seats but Raven refuses to answer the challenge. Benoit calls out anyone in The Flock to team with Wright and face him at Malenko. Raven whispers something to Saturn who dumps Kidman over the railing and orders him to the ring.
Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko defeated Kidman and Alex Wright when Benoit pinned Kidman after a German suplex in 0:05:22.
Rating: **
Benoit gets on the turnbuckle after the match and yells at Raven. Raven turns his back to Benoit so Benoit dives off the turnbuckle onto The Flock in the front row! Raven gets knocked over by this. Benoit starts pummeling one of the members of The Flock on the ground. Raven tries to pull him off and give him the Evenflow DDT, but Benoit blocks it. Benoit lays into Raven, finally getting his hands on Raven. It doesn't last long before the rest of The Flock recovers from Benoit's dive and starts ganging up on him. Malenko comes to the rescue. Finally security comes out and breaks things up.
Ernest Miller defeated Glacier by disqualification in 0:01:34.
Rating: 1/4*
[James Vandenburg interfered against Ernest Miller.]
So much for this fued being resolved. Vandenberg got DQed for tripping Miller. Miller goes after Vandenberg but gets kicked from behind by Glacier. Mortis and Wrath run in to lay a beatdown on The Cat, but Harlem Heat come out and chase them off.
Gene Okerlund is in the back with The Steiner Brothers. Mean Gene wants to know if there are problems between Rick and Scott. Rick tries to say something, but Scott cuts him off. Scott says the only problem is WCW wanted them to defend the tag titles tonight after having just defended them last week and Scott refused. Meng and Barbarian can have their shot at Souled Out. Rick wants to know when they started turning down challenges. Scott says they are superstars and the best tag team in WCW so they can live the good life. Meng, The Barbarian, Hugh Morrus, and Jerry Flynn attack with Jimmy Hart directing traffic. As The Steiners take a 4-on-2 beating, Jimmy Hart takes a moment to tell Okerlund that his boys will break The Steiners.
The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith) defeated
Vicious & Delicious (Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton) when Smith defeated Bagwell
by disqualification in 0:12:20.

[Vincent interfered against Davey Boy Smith.]
[Vincent interfered against Bret Hart.]
This was going to be Hogan and Norton, but Hogan sent in Bagwell in his place. Vincent's interference eventually draws a DQ. Hogan and Chono come out to make things 5-on-2 beatdown but Neidhart and DDP make the save. The nWo bails but Vincent isn't fast enough. He takes a Diamond Cutter from Page, a Running Powerslam from Davey Boy, and Bret locks him in the Sharpshooter for his troubles. The crowd is quite pleased as Vincent has reached the point where he's drawing negative heat.
Before the main event, Sting pointed his bat at Kevin Nash. Once it was clear he had Nash's attention, he pointed at the WCW Title around his waist and nodded his head. The announcers conclude this is Sting's acceptance of Nash's challenge.

Jackknife Power Bomb in 0:10:41.
