MIKE WALDROP'S TNM FED RULES: YEAR 1, MONTHS 1-6 JANUARY: -You went all out to get TV Cameras forr the first show, and you'll be sending it to a variety of TV Networks. Make this show special. -You have secured a supercard to air onn local programming in a few weeks. For that card, you need to decide your "World Champion". You need to have a tournament of your 5 52 carders and 3 36 Carders. You can choose how you want to set up the tournament.. either have just the finals at the Supercard, the final two rounds at the Supercard, or the entire thing at the Supercard. -Set up a tag team and start a feud witth one of the established teams. This feud will go on till the blowoff match at the Supercard, for the Tag Team Titles. -Three main channels have shown strong interest in your fed. Fox Sports Net, USA, and ESPN2. They will all be sending people to the big Supercard, so you have to knock their socks off. You should pair up your best workers, to keep the crowd into it. I doubt that the executives will be wrestling buffs, so if the crowd stays happy, they should be interested. FEBRUARY: -USA ended up coming through with the bbig TV offer. They purchased a large portion of your company, leaving you with little financial liability. You agreed to the following deal. Two TV Shows a week, one two hours, one one hour secondary, taped on one taping a week. Which means that every taping needs to have 10-11 matches, and some wrestlers can work double duty. They will put a Supercard on once every other month, and on other months, will arrange for Viewer's Choice to pick up a PPV. -You recieved a phone call, from a secrretary at USA. She said that as a personal favor, one of her old friends will be stopping by asking for a tryout. She didn't mention a name(use the "m" key). -This month's Supercard should be a Topp Contender Match. It can be any kind of match(Battle Royal, Four Corners, Regular Match, etc..), with the winner facing your current Champion next month on PPV. NOTE: Your Champion will only defend about once every couple of months. The other titles may be defended and exchanged at will. The Champion may wrestle any time in non-title matches, but only book him in World Title matches when it's mentioned in here. -Also at the Supercard, Your current taag team champions, face or heel, develop a cocky streak. They extend an open challenge for the Supercard(R button... and yes, I know this might bring in one wrestler new to the fed... this adds to the fun). MARCH: -This is it.. your big chance, your firrst PPV. Go into hype overtime mode, by having the two wrestlers interact in matches leading up to the event every week. Either team situations, special referee situations, etc. -Bring in an ex-partner of a wrestler tto feud with him until the PPV. -You should make a match between your ttwo top-ranked wrestlers at the PPV for your vacant secondary title. -Make sure to involve everyone that youu want on the show in feuds, and hype the fuck out of them. This PPV has to be spectacular. -Remember, whoever wins the PPV Main Evvent will be your fed's top star for the next 2 months+. APRIL: -A Japanese promoter wants to bring thee next PPV to the Land of the Rising Sun. But to do this, you need some talent the Japanese public can relate to. Hire, under short term deals(12 cards or so), a contingent 5 or so Japanese superstars(under 3 criteria.. either (a) Japanese descent or nationality working here in the US, (b) Japanese superstar in Japan, or (c) American that is a bigger star in Japan than here). You can choose how you will use these wrestlers, and their place in the card. They might want to band together in a stable, you might want to feud some. You could add a tag team to the tag team division, or you could try a full-on Japanese invasion. -You need to have an idea of what the nnext PPV Main Event should be. It should be your torchrunning feud for the next couple of months. For this month's Supershow on USA, the main event needs to be a match relating to next month's PPV Main Event. A tag match involving the wrestlers, a non-title match(maybe for the title match), etc. Make it relevant! -A wrestler of fairly high statute seemms to be getting frustrated that he's stuck in the midcard. Give him a couple of months off. You can write him off with an angle, or have him disapear completely. MAY: -Your Japanese PPV is this month! You will need to hold your last TV Taping before the show there as well. Good news. The Tokyo Dome is sold out already with the hype campaign applied by the Japanese promoter! When compiling the card, remember that Japanese fans appreciate hard work. If this show impresses, then you might have weekly Japanese TV as well. -After the PPV, you can decide which Jaapanese wrestlers to not-resign, but you have the option of signing any of them(or all 5 of them if you want) to a long term contract. -You don't need a lot of guidelines forr this month. Just focus on putting on a good show for the Japanese crowd. Positive reviews of your last PPV have made you the talk of Cable TV, and you can do no wrong. NOTE: There should be a World Title Match at the PPV.. preferably in the headlining feud. JUNE: -Your top stars get this month's Superccard off.. the focus should be a Young Guns type tournament, featuring 8 to 16 prospects that are the future of your fed. The winner will recieve a World Title shot next month. -That Superstar that took his time off is about to return. Make sure you have a big program planned for him. Set him up to make his return at an opportune time, and jump right into a feud. -Two wrestlers appear to be doing nothiing in your midcard mediocrity. Team them up, and see what happens. -Set up a series of matches with two hiighly talented workers. To keep it interesting, spice up the match types.. have it conclude at the PPV next month.
