XWF (2001)

Kevin Harrington and Jimmy Hart, the well-known manager and musician, formed X Wrestling Federation (the X signified the missing variable in the wrestling product at the time) following WWF's purchase of WCW. The slogan was "No more prima donnas, no more politics. In your face!" and, like WXO before it, XWF promised a family-friendly product in contrast to the edgy WWF Attitude Era. The TV tapings were held at Universal Studios Orlando in November 2001. XWF ran some house shows in early 2002, but ticket sales were poor and they could not get a TV deal.

Jimmy Hart acquired full ownership in 2004 and the organization would technically linger on for many years without actually runng any further shows.

Lets imagine XWF did get a TV contract...

One of the initial angles was a power struggle between CEO Rena Mero (Sable) and Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper. This angle was poorly received and Rena may be better off as a valet.

You can later sign other real wrestlers not under contract with WWF or TNA.
