TNA 2010: Return Of The Monday Night Wars

January 4, 2010: WWE hypes the return of Bret Hart to confront Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon and bury the hatchet more than 13 years after Montreal. Meanwhile, TNA takes their weekly Impact show to Monday night for the first time by challenging Bret's return with the TNA debut of Hulk Hogan.

In real life, TNA Impact would not return to Mondays until March. It would be there for 2 months, clearly lose the ratings war to WWE RAW, and return to Thursdays in May. The show would suffer from erratic booking, Hogan and Flair in wrestling roles, giving away PPV-calibre matches on free TV, returning such washed up wrestlers as The Band (i.e. The Wolfpac) and the Nasty Boys to the ring, and generally combining the worst of Bischoff-era WCW with Russo era WCW. Things would improve as time went by, but 6 months after the first Impact on Monday and the arrival of Hogan and Bischoff to TNA many would consider it a serious mistake.

Can you do better?
